Retraite d'artiste de charme dans la vallée de l'Hudson. Rénové et conçu par un architecte d'intérieur basé à Soho, chaque détail a été pensé pour créer une belle retraite de week-end. Endroit idéal pour se détendre, lire, profiter de l'air frais de la campagne. PrÚs de la randonnée, du ski, de l'équitation, des antiquités, des restaurants de la région. Cadre enchanteur dans un bosquet de cÚdres trÚs privé. Le chalet dispose de 2 chambres avec chacune un lit double, un salon et une salle à manger ouverts sur la cuisine. Patio en pierre avec grille au charbon et hamac relaxant!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was in a nice wooded area but close to town and other major attractions in the Saugerties area. It provided a nice outdoor patio area and three season porch for relaxing when we got back from a busy day. The cottage was nicely decorated with original art and very comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was set up with all the utensils we needed and the availability of a washer/dryer was a real plus. We found the cottage to be clean and well cared for. We definitely recommend it!

A delightful gem of a getaway. The home was immaculate and the host could not have been nicer. Checking in was seamless, and the little touches (flowers, linens, etc.) were thoughtful. I’d highly recommend it.

Charming and cozy, with a breathtaking view

This cottage is perfect! Clean and comfortable, with every amenity covered, with such lovely touches as fresh flowers and farm-fresh eggs! The highlight was the view from the overlook -- breathtaking in the late spring and probably every season! Maureen is a perfect host -- precise directions and instructions, and a level of thoughtfulness that goes above and beyond. I look forward to staying there again!

Cozy cabin, perfect location

This super cozy cabin is perfectly located and close to major Catskills towns. Yet, Maureen has done an amazing job at creating a space that feels far away from every thing. Town and groceries are less than 10mins away. We visited Kingston and Woodstock - also nearby. The nearby trail options are endless too.This home is exemplar of what VRBO stands for. Extremely relaxing.

This is a beautiful property that will relax you immediately. The views and simple solitude take effect the moment you walk in the door. Watch the stunning sunrise and end your day sitting outside watching the sunset. It doesn’t get any sweeter.

Refuge from the storm

Escaped Long Island’s noise, traffic and overall stress . Listened to owls, watched birds soaring, kicked up leaves and gazed at the periwinkle colored mountains while perched on a bench. Felt safe enough knowing civilization was near enough, would have liked a landline phone just in case of an emergency

Great location!!

The setting for the home was beautiful and peaceful. We loved that! We needed specific directions on how to get there because it is hidden. I would recommend not driving there in the dark. The house is old and unfortunately, it had been closed up for a few days I guess and it was musty when we entered; that wasn’t very inviting. We lit candles to help us with the smell. The owner is aware of this and I doubt if it will happen again because when it is fresh and clean, it’s delightful!!! The furnishings are quaint and sweet and add to the ambiance. The kitchen appliances and some dishes I feel needed replacing 😐 Overall, I’m glad we were in the midst of the color and fresh air😊

Cozy cottage

The cottage was everything we could have hoped for. It was cozy, but still had plenty of space for four adults. The property and surrounding views of the hills were beautiful. Such unique furniture and decor. We couldn't be happier with our stay.

Cozy, Creative, and Convenient

We had a lovely time relaxing at Maureen’e cottage for the weekend. Sitting in the garden, taking in the mountain view, and listening to the surrounding wildlife was the perfect respite from hectic city life. As artists, we felt right at home among the artwork and vintage treasures around the house. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Village Diner, and loved exploring the Saugerties Lighthouse Trail - only ten minutes away! Thank you Maureen for a wonderful stay. - Dave and Alie

I am an Interior Designer, originally from the Midwest and Upstate New York. My husband, Ross, grew up in the cottage, he is now a fine artist and painting professor.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This property is my husband's childhood home. His parents rented, then purchased the cottage from a local landowner in the mushroom business. The house is filled with warm memories as well as examples of Ross's early paintings. He was and is strongly influenced by the beaurtiful Hudson Valley light!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The quiet setting is truly magical. I will never forget the first time I drove up the hill and saw the house and stone chimney surrounded by cedar trees. It is a special place!!
