This home was beauiful and very spacious, but there were a few issues. The ac in the first the bedroom had what looked like black mold inside of it and when you cut it on it shoot out onto the pillows and bed. I reached out to the host and they did have the house keeper come out and change the bedding. I was more concerned about what looked like black mold in the ac that for safety reasons couldn’t be used the entire stay and made the stay in the room hot and uncomfortable. A few days in the ac in the living room stopped working because the filter needed to be changed. On Christmas eve the first bedroom door accidentally got locked and (the knob is on upside down, so the lock is opposite of what it should be where locked is unlocked and unlocked is locked) there was no spare key in the house at all. I tore one of my CC up trying to get into the room with no avail. I ended up having to call a locksmith and paying way too much just to get a bedroom door open. The rest of the doors in the house have regular locks and knobs on them except that one. Unfortunately because of the holidays the host couldn't help much. Everything mentioned was also expressed to the host. I was offered a 10% discount on my next stay at the property if im ever in WPB Florida ever again, but I do wish more could have been done to remedy the situations in the home.

Thank you for your feedback and for noting that the home is beautiful and spacious. We truly appreciate your honest review and want to assure you that we take health and safety seriously. We’d like to clarify a few points so future guests have a clear and accurate understanding. Regarding the bedroom AC, what was observed was dust buildup on the filter, not black mold. Once this was brought to our attention, we promptly had our housekeeper replace the bedding. Unfortunately, because you were already checked in, we couldn’t address the AC concerns immediately. The unit itself was not confirmed to have mold, and maintenance was handled accordingly. In the living room, there are two AC units—a window unit and a split AC. When the window AC needed a filter change, the split AC remained fully functional and could have been used to keep the space comfortable. The filter issue was addressed as soon as the place was available for proper maintenance. Regarding the bedroom lockout on Christmas Eve, the home is fully private and not a shared space, and bedroom doors do not need to be locked. The lockout happened because the door was locked from the inside, not due to a malfunction. We understand how frustrating this was, especially during the holidays. While immediate in-person assistance was limited, we stayed in communication and offered support remotely. All concerns raised during your stay were communicated to us and addressed to the best of our ability. As a courtesy, we offered a discount even though these issues were not caused by ongoing or unresolved property problems. We value guest feedback and are always working to maintain a comfortable and well-kept home. We wish you the best in your future travels.
