La Casa Mango Tango, rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©e, est une propriĂ©tĂ© au bord de la riviĂšre situĂ©e au sommet des arbres d'un auvent Guanacaste dans la communautĂ© fermĂ©e de Rancho Playa Negra. Profitez de la faune naturelle des singes, des oiseaux exotiques, des iguanes et des Ă©cureuils Ă  queue rouge, tout en Ă©tant Ă  quelques pas de la plage oĂč vous pourrez trouver un spot de surf de classe mondiale, des restaurants, du yoga et de magnifiques couchers de soleil.



La maison offre 4 chambres Ă  coucher, 3 salles de bain, cuisine personnalisĂ©e du chef, ventilateurs de climatisation et de plafond dans chaque chambre, wi-fi, Internet, 2 tĂ©lĂ©visions par satellite Ă  Ă©cran plat, laveuse et sĂ©cheuse, barbecue en acier inoxydable, piscine, parking privĂ©, Ɠuvres d'art fabriquĂ©es localement et des meubles en teck / gaunacaste partout.



À l'Ă©tage, il y a deux chambres avec balcon, une salle de bain entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ©e, une cuisine personnalisĂ©e avec balcon, une grande table Ă  manger et le salon principal.

En bas, il y a deux chambres doubles attenantes avec une belle salle de bain. Chacun a des entrées séparées et s'ouvre sur le grand patio et la piscine.

Les nouvelles chambres ont des matelas de luxe en caoutchouc naturel, des cadres de lit en bois recyclé et des armoires en bois de teck / Guanacaste.



La cuisine personnalisĂ©e comprend un grand Ăźlot en granit, une cuisiniĂšre Ă  gaz, un rĂ©frigĂ©rateur et un lave-vaisselle en acier inoxydable, du Vitamix pour des smoothies tropicaux frais, de l'eau potable filtrĂ©e par osmose inverse, un four micro-ondes, un grille-pain, une cafetiĂšre. La cuisine est entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e de casseroles et poĂȘles, vaisselle et ustensiles. Hors de la cuisine est une terrasse privĂ©e avec un barbecue Ă  gaz en acier inoxydable.



À l'extĂ©rieur, profitez de la belle piscine privĂ©e avec une terrasse en teck qui s'enroule pour se dĂ©tendre et bronzer. Il y a aussi une douche extĂ©rieure en travertin et une terrasse couverte avec table Ă  manger et meubles personnalisĂ©s. La buanderie offre un support de planche de surf, des flotteurs de piscine, une laveuse et une sĂ©cheuse.

We had an amazing time at Casa Mango Tango and exploring the area of Los Pargos / Paraiso. The area is calm, quiet, and private and immersed in nature. We had regular visits from monkeys and birds and could hear the waves of the ocean from the property. The house is beautiful and very well-appointed, with a fully stocked kitchen and ample necessities and supplies. The hosts added us to a WhatsApp group where Meaghan, Jarrod, Pamela, and Mike were all there to greet us and offer us tips throughout our stay, and were available to answer any questions we had. We felt very safe in the home and had no issues at all during the 10 days we spent there. The pool is amazing and well taken care of. All of the air conditioners and fixtures worked flawlessly. There are lots of options for restaurants nearby and the home is close to several beaches. Some of our favourites were Barumi’s, Jalapeño Market, La Esquina de Avellanas, and Cafe Playa Negra. There are also plenty of super markets with a decent variety of items that will be familiar to most. Sunsets at Playa Negra just minutes away from the home are absolutely blissful. Thank you to the hosts, we will definitely recommend Casa Mango Tango to our friends, family, and colleagues and we hope to be back one day ourselves.

This property has everything needed for a family to have a beautiful home in a great location. The only down side to the property was the ants and bees, but Costa Rica is a place full of life and you practically have the jungle in your back yard so the insects are something that come with the country.(Ants have been an issue at all properties I've stayed at in CR) The home (which is absolutely beautiful and clean) provides an amazing beach access to one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been to.sunsets are pristine. We saw a small crocodile in the river behind us and the howler monkeys are not shy at giving you entertainment as the families move from tree to tree. Local towns all took about 35-40 minutes to reach wich is mostly due to road conditions. I strongly suggest a car that comes with gps. Plenty of room for a larger family or even friends. The host was extremely easy to reach and very helpful with local tips to make our trip one we will never forget.

Wonderful

Jarrod and Meaghan, (and their friends - the super nice neighbors!) were so attentive and quick to respond to the couple initial questions we had about the property, then also to all my ongoing questions re the area, etc. It is obvious they care tremendously about their renters, wanting us to have a seamless and wonderful experience. The house is beautiful, howler monkeys overhead daily, pool guy came every weekday and a prefect location. We will definitely rent from them again!

Costa Rica Beach Vacation

We all enjoyed Casa Mango Tango. Short five minute walk to the ocean and short drive to beaches. Comfortable, spacious and clean. Perfect for our group of three couples. Beautiful pool and outdoor landscaping. Meaghan and Jarrod were very helpful with their recommendations and prompt responses. Highly recommend!

Great location + beautiful property

Really well-appointed house in a great part of the coast. Our biggest hiccup was that the VRBO listing hadn’t been updated to clarify that this is two separate disconnected units (up and downstairs) before we booked and stayed here — which was a little inconvenient as we booked a four bed so each of our toddlers could have a room, and ended up sleeping in the downstairs unit which locks only by a switch on a sliding door so that our toddlers could be upstairs on the other side of two more sturdy locks and a deadbolt, with more separation from the pool (and incrementally fewer bugs). The whole house is comfortable but the downstairs bed we slept in creaked so loudly at any movement that we didn’t get a ton of uninterrupted sleep. But upstairs beds seemed marvelous! The management was very responsive and worked out other early issues for us (a broken security system keypad that meant we had to set the alarm off in order to reach our kids on morning one; lack of Wi-Fi connection in the first day that unfortunately overlapped with our home security system going off at midnight in MN and the associated inconvenience accessing our security system app and dealing with the police back home without Wi-Fi service). All in all, would stay here again if they’d have us — but just wanted to clarify here while management works on updating the listing that if you’d like to sleep behind the same locks as your young kids / be able to access them in the night without going through a locked gate and turning on/off security systems you might want to pick a different layout.

We LOVED Casa Mango Tango!!!

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenage girls) absolutely loved our stay at Casa Mango Tango!! We loved the chill vibe of Playa Negra and it was wonderful to both relax at the pool in the morning with coffee or in the afternoon to soak up the sun and listen to all the birds and howler monkeys. We took the short walk to the beach for some beautiful sunset pics and to walk out on the lava rocks to check out the tide pools. It was also so nice to come back to a nice, peaceful area after being out on adventures! The house was stocked with everything we needed, especially the kitchen!! We highly recommend Casa Mango Tango!!

Perfect for our 1st visit to Costa Rica

The property was just as described. The check in and out process very easy and easy to communicate with the owners. They cleaned the pool frequently while we were there as well as the patio area. The kitchen is beautiful, everything you could possibly need! All beds were comfortable and everything in working order. We saw monkeys nearly every day we were there, so awesome! You definitely get to experience the jungle here. We loved the short drive to the open air bar. Tamarindo was not as far a drive as it seems on navigation and that is where we got groceries. The community around the house is very friendly and welcoming, we checked out a local soccer game while at the pizzeria one night. We would definitely recommend staying here! Great for families with teenagers or older kids.

It’s a little rough getting out there, but when you do it’s a small piece of paradise. The house has all the modern day necessities you could want to make yourself comfortable. I would say that you would have to drive to the beach, not really walking distance.

Tolle Unterkunft

Schönes und gepflegtes Haus im GrĂŒnen. Lage und Ausstattung entspricht den Bildern und der Beschreibung. Die KĂŒche ist gut ausgestattet, die Betten sind in gutem Zustand und es stehen ausreichend Sessel und StĂŒhle zur VerfĂŒgung. Lediglich zwei zusĂ€tzliche Liegen wĂ€ren schön, da es tatsĂ€chlich, wie auf den Bildern zu sehen ist, nur zwei gibt. Der Weg zum Starbhd dauert zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten. Der Strand ist phantastisch, groß und fast einsam. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich in der NĂ€he. FĂŒr den Großeinkauf sollte man allerdings besser nach Santa Cruz fahren, dauert ca. 35 Minuten. Unser Lieblingsrestaurant war das La Vida Buena. Alles in allem eine schöne und gepflegte Unterkunft in einer fĂŒr Badeurlaub perfekten Ecke von Costa Rica.

Awesome awesome awesome

So much good stuff, I don't even know where to start. I spent a week at Casa Mango Tango with my wife and our two daughters (ages 8 and 10). The place was perfect for us. Sweet little house with a perfect little pool for cooling off. The first morning we woke up to a couple of howler monkeys climbing through the trees just outside our balcony. Very cool. The girls had never seen anything like that in the wild before. There are also iguanas and ctenosaurs (bigger, grayish iguana-like lizards) that visit the ground-floor porch when you're eating looking for handouts. We fed them pieces of apple. (Just don't try to hand-feed them. I made that mistake and got bitten. Can't blame the lizard for that.) Tons of cool birds around the house too. Jarrod and Meaghan were awesome. Very approachable and happy to help us whenever we needed it. They helped us arrange ziplining and horseback riding. They also hooked us up with Adobe Car Rental, which I would recommend. Got a good 4x4 from them. Used it for trips to the stores/restaurants in "town", Hotel Playa Negra and nearby Playa Avellanas. The nearby snorkeling tide pool was super cool too. Perfect for young ones. Bottom line: We can't wait to go back. (Hopefully for longer next time!)

Perfect relaxing getaway

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Casa Mango Tango in Jan 2016 to celebrate his birthday. It was exactly what we were looking for - far from the maddening crowds, close to the beach but a private haven at the end of the cul-de-sac, a wonderfully appointed house, our own pool for laps or just reading a book in the shallow end, and lots of daily entertainment watching the local wildlife. Yes, in addition to the iguanas and monkeys (we were disappointed to only hear them!), and birds and racoon, we did see a small crocodile on the far banks of the river behind the house!! We did take a few day trips during our week away, but what we loved best was our morning walks along the nearby beach, reading by the pool, and checking out the local restaurants nearby - sunset at Lola's in Avellanas beach and dinner at Villa Daveena are not to be missed! And Jen at the local Cafe La Ventana brought an excellent catered birthday meal to the house for our first night there - it was hard to top! Stephanie, the owner, was easy and accommodating to work with, and Jarrod and Meaghan were the perfect Playa Negra manager/hosts - they were full of great local info, accessible for any of our needs, and just great people! We are already trying to figure out when we can return.

A memorable vacation for our family

Our visit to Mango Tango was extraordinary. On a scale of one to ten, with ten being the highest rating, our family would rate our trip to Playa Negra as a ten in each of the categories of service, accomodations, location and overall experience. Mango Tango was perfect. We are so grateful for the thoughtful and helpful assistance provided to us by Jarrod and Mariah. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at Mango Tango. mango tango days

we have been coming to Costa Rica for 4 years in a row now. Twice we have stayed in one of Playa Negra rental homes.both times it was a very good experience. we love the Playa Negra area,mango tango is a 200 hundred meters walk to the ocean.there is a water source just behind the house that attracts wildlife,we did have a big pet iguana come and visit us daily by the pool .house was set up very nice. Jarrod and Meaghan were very helpful when we had question on what to do . we will be back soon. thanks for letting us stay in your home. mike and peggy

A Dream come true!!!

Really I felt in love with that house. Everything was so perfect! I am so sorry if I took so much time to write the review... Quite busy I am!!!! Here a day in my life at that time... 5:45 I waked up, open all the windows and make myself a capuccino. The house is surrounded by trees so I didn't use the air con on day time. 6:30 I walked to the beach (so near, you can hear the waves!) and after a long walk on the beach I came back to MY, MY house ( ok...ok...I just rented for 10 days..). 7:30 Breakfast on the balcony 7:30 to 15:00: Either to the local grocery store (on foot) or work (yep...have to pay the bills...) from the dining table with all the windows open with the sound of the monkey crossing from tree to tree. 15:00:Time for a glass of wine in the swimming pool. 17:00: A massage therapist is available and trust me: your back pain will go away! 18:30 Light dinner with another glass of wine.... A necessity!!! 20:00: Time to go to bed, another hard day tomorrow is coming!!!... Oups.. I forgot to tell you that sometime I had some visit... someone came for the garbages or to clean the pool on regular basis. House was clean, everything was functional at the time. For a small fee, you can have someone to come and have the place clean on regular basic (every two day for me, I am in vacation after all!!!) The owner was kind and the manager (Jarrod) was not only helpful but kind, respectful of your needs, and available. Internet is working fine (important!!!) The house on the first floor is very private since it has it's own bathroom. Two family could stay there with their privacy insured. It's at the end of a road near a small river, so it's really, really quiet, private and I felt safe (woman travelling alone) because I was in a gated community. Conclusion: I am very hard on places that don't deserve it but that house is a must to see and for your vacations and the photos are authentic WYSIWYG!!! Hope your vacation will be has great has mine were!!! To the owner:Please call me if you ever want to sell!!!!

Calm, nature and great house

The presence of the wild forest and of a small river in the backyard of the villa, has permit us to see alot of beautiful birds, iguanas, howling monkeys, squirrels, etc. We have appreciated the pool who was cleaned, a must due to the heat, The kitchen was well equiped, the living-room and dining room very confortables. It takes a car to live there because it is a remote place. Great beaches near by. Jarrod and Meaghan , the manager, were always there to helpfull us. Above & Beyond Expectation

This property is exceptional if you want the real feel of Costa Rica. My girlfriend booked this sight unseen. It was perfect for 3 couples for the week. It is well equipted with everything you need including condiments in the cupboards which is a bonus. You could get a way without a car but we saw more having one. If you like beaches almost to yourself this area is amazing. You could go to a different beach everyday. Sunsets amazing. We rented bikes from the surf shop which was fun. We booked in house massages which were the best of the best. We picked up supplies in Santa Cruz but could ride our bikes to the local grocery store for pretty much anything else we needed. Make sure you try the Pizza just out side the gate. The wraps at Jalepeno's are great as well. We drove to lots of other eating spots and every place was fabulous. People were great but you have to get used to Costa Rican time. Which means service can be a bit slower than we were used to but you do adjust. If you want to enjoy breakfast on your private patio and watch monkey's, iguanna's & birds this is for you. House & Pool were very clean. I will be going back to this location. We just remodeled Mango Tango after buying it a few years ago. The new larger floor plan is great for our family and hopefully yours too. We enjoyed making our Playa Negra getaway home larger and more comfortable. Adding our own touch to this already great home. We hope you think so too.
