The Space:

Sitting at the north end of town, this gorgeous Mendocino vacation rental features a beautiful ocean view, a stunning landscaped yard, and a well-equipped, full kitchen. Relax by the fire in the open living area and watch your favorite shows on the flatscreen TV equipped with DirecTV. Outside, the landscaped grounds include colorful rhododendrons and a variety of coastal flowers, including beautiful white and yellow Matilija poppies. From both the front and back decks, you can relax and take in the views of Agate Cove and the Headlands - there's even a hidden picnic table out between the rhododendrons in the yard for a special sunshine lunch or evening glass of wine.



What's nearby:

From your door, walk along the this quiet neighborhood's streets to Mendocino Headlands State Park. From the cliffside bluffs, you'll have stunning panoramic views from where you can watch for passing whales, or take the steps down to the rocky beach to hunt for agates. This convenient location is also less than a mile from the center of town! Walk or bike to grab a bite to eat, browse the bookstores, and explore the numerous galleries. You’ll also be just four miles south of Jug Handle Beach and within 10 miles of Fort Bragg and colorful Glass Beach.

Overall it was fine. It was frustrating that the WiFi kept going in and out, the toilet seat was broken and the guest shower didn’t work. All in all it was a good vacation, a good location and beautiful ocean views. The house needs some maintenance though.

We did have problems with the heating and a cracked toilet seat. Both were resolved immediately by Casago. However, we were never able to get the fireplace to work. We loved the house and the layout of the house. We plan on trying to rent this house in the future when we return to Mendocino.

This house is beautiful with lots of room. The ocean views in the evening are great. It is about a 15 minute drive to Fort Bragg if you want more options for restaurants. The kitchen was not very well stocked with spices. We went without salt for a couple days. If I am back in the area in the future I would likely book again

Loved it! Definitely would stay here again if we returned to Mendocino. The house was nicely furnished, clean, and had plenty of room for our family. Wonderful view. Nice deck. The house location was good and the state parks and restaurants in town were within walking distance though part of the walk was on a road without sidewalks. Wifi worked well. Directions to the house and the lock operation were clear. Communication with the host was very good. I called the host with some last minute questions. My call was returned within 15 minutes and my questions were clearly answered. My family did not cook at the house so cannot comment on how well the kitchen was stocked.

It was a pleasurable experience. The house was everything we needed and located in a perfect place. My family was in town for 50 k ultra race and it was convenient to everything we wanted to see. The house was comfortable, roomy and had a great view of the sunsets every night. It felt very private and safe. Well stocked in the kitchen and bedrooms, but we couldn’t find the washer and dryer. We didn’t need it but the check out instructions mentioned it. We would certainly rent again if back in Mendocino
