We felt upon seeing the location & price for this unit it was a good deal. Turns out you get what you pay for. Location good. But the condition of the unit upon our arriving for a monthâs stay was really bad! Have pictures. So many things were not cleansed or not working. Contacted the owner right away, sent him pics and told him we could not stay. He apologized and promised âa full refundâ. We hastily, and expensively, had to find another place. Days later he contacted us and said he had the place cleaned and things in working order and if we returned he would give us 50% off the rental. Having no other place to go for the rest of the month we reluctantly agreed. What a mistake that turned out to be! Upon returning some things had been cleaned and the TV (service) was now working. But found the bed was cheap and uncomfortable as well as the sofa, the floors not cleaned, the garage disposal did not work, the toaster oven was old and disgusting, same for the outside of refrigerator. What made matters even worse were the two constantly barking dogs, day and night, just next door. Owner conveniently left a supply of disposable earplugs next to the bed so one could get some rest! We could not take it anymore and after a short time we went home early. We have been constantly contacting both the owner and VRBO for our 50% refund, which we have documented proof from the owner weâd get, and heâs refusing to honor his full promise. No help yet from VRBO after filing a claim.
