Absolutely wonderful place to call home in San Francisco!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated and comfortable home in a great neighborhood for walking, shops and restaurants. Highly recommend. We will stay here again.

Great location, very comfortable home

Perfect location for exploring the NOPA and Golden Gate Park areas. Really enjoyed the owner's recommendations for nearby restuarants and coffee houses. The Haight and all the attactions of Golden Gate Park are an easy walk away. Beautifully appointed home, clean, comfortable, and perfect for a stay in the city.

A truly delightful place to stay.

Thank you David and Richard for making our family vacation such a wonderful experience. The house was lovely and had everything we needed and so much more! Our five year old son loved playing in the beautiful garden and also enjoyed the Alamo Square playground that was in walking distance. Getting around the city was a breeze from this location (lots of bus options). It was a very quiet neighbourhood for sleeping too. Highly recommended!

Fantastic

We Already Made Reservations For Our Return!!

Very comfortable, very well equipped, great location. Wonderful extras, including garage, garden (we ate lunch outside), and computer. Excellent "customer service" from David and Richard. We've already made a reservation for our return to San Francisco in November 2007.

A perfect home away from home!

David was the perfect host and his home in SF was impecible. Especially appreciated the indoor garage, furnished backyard and gourmet kitchen. David left copious information on what to see, where to eat and how get there - both on his website and at the house. Conveniently located to restaurants (our favorite being Central Park Bistro), mass transit, and most every activity SF has to offer. Can't wait to get back!

Enjoy San Fransisco as a local!

On vacation from England, this is our second stay in this great home in a fantastic neighbourhood. We are already thinking about visit number three, what more is there to say! We’re in the city to catch up on the latest “hot” restaurants, so being able to get everywhere by walking and the occasional evening bus is just what we need to keep up an appetite! Loved our San Francisco stay. David's home is a short walk from Golden Gate Park where the De Young Museum has free admission on the first Tuesday of each month! What a lucky coincidence for us!! Could not have found a better place to stay!!!

Best place to stay in San Francisco!!! We went for our Honeymoon, and could not have chosen a better place to stay. It was very clean and located in the absolute center for everything you would want to do in San Francisco. Plus, it is located in a very affluent and safe neighborhood, with a grocery store and many of the city’s best restaurants within walking distance. David was so helpful the entire time (before and during our stay) and made sure that our experience was free of any worries. We felt very much at home in the flat. The neighborhood felt very safe, it was centrally located, and quiet. The flat itself had space to spread out, depending on the mood. I loved the way you could open a cabinet or drawer and just the item you needed was stored there for your use.

Wonderful Wedding Stay

We stayed six nights related to our daughter's wedding in SF. The home exceeded our expectations. All was as described. Excellent property----You will not be disappointed!!!!

Every detail has been thought through in this impeccably maintained home in a beautiful neighborhood. Art, books, a reclining chair with a lamp and blanket in the front room where you can relax alone. A charming private backyard where you can enjoy a quiet meal. My husband and I have rented homes about 15 times and have never experienced such a high level of property ownership and rental management. This was a great vacation home.

Excellent Apartment in a beautiful neighborhood. I rented the apartment for 1 month and added a weekly house cleaning. The apartment was very clean and the service outstanding. Thank you! We had a great week renting this well appointed apartment in NoPa. The place was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The location convenient walking distance to restaurants and shops, yet one or two blocks into quiet residential territory. Great San Francisco Rental

This was our second time staying at this flat. Both times it was great. It is a much better value than a hotel. The flat has enough space for our family of four, has parking, and has all the comforts of home. It is located in a real neighborhood and is conveniently near a grocery store and bus stops. The listing description is very accurate. The property is very well organized, stocked with everything needed, and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this rental to friends and would stay here again myself.

Exceeded my expectations! Lovely flat & location

My husband, daughter and son-in-law stayed here for three nights over the 4th of July weekend, The flat is quite large, beautifully furnished, clean and has everything you need for cooking. In addition, there's was a parking garage for our vehicle. The garden out back was beautiful, and we enjoyed sitting in it and enjoying a glass of wine. The location was excellent as well. There was a short walk to a large grocery store and to bus stops. Once we got there we didn't drive at all. We walked to restaurants, Golden Gate Park, and Height Ashbury. This would be my first choice to stay in San Francisco.

We stayed in David’s comfortable home in March 2007. Fresh flowers greeted us and we felt like we were in our own home. What a fabulous location. The convenience of Albertson's Grocery in the next block and the Preferred Shopper’s card was fantastic. We hired a Dodge Caliber and it was a perfect fit in the garage and so convenient having off street parking and not having to worry about parking restrictions. Close to the city and Alamo Square. The kitchen had everything that you could think of, even down to herbs and spices. Computer let us keep up to date with the latest things back home. Will definitely be back and have already recommended it to many friends in Australia.

We were very impressed with your beautiful home! On entering we knew we would be extremely comfortable and we had loads to look at with all the lovely artworks. It turns out we arrived with the biggest storm of the year! It was great to have such a lovely place to come back to after big soakings!!! We walked miles and miles. One day we did your recommended walk via Land’s End from the walk book on the computer. It was very wet and windy but we survived. We were very, very comfortable in your home and hope to return one day. We took a supply of your refrigerator magnets and have already recommended your lovely home to friends and family! Absolutely wonderful home-away-from-home in great location

We had a fabulous 5-month stay in David's beautifully appointed San Francisco home! It is beautifully decorated, filled with every amenity we could think of, and truly felt like we were living in our own home. The backyard is an oasis of calm with lush landscaping, comfortable seating and hummingbirds. The kitchen is modern with great appliances and kitchenware. The bedroom is cozy, ultra comfortable and importantly, very quiet. There are 3 perfect places to eat: the large dining room, the kitchen table and the counter. With a family room AND a living room, there are so many places to relax and enjoy. The bonus: a laundry room AND a garage! David is an impeccable host...he is super responsive and just a pleasure to deal with, and always helpful with suggestions. Staying here was an overall perfect experience for us as we transitioned to relocating permanently to San Francisco!!! We couldn't recommend it more highly!

We have lived in the San Francisco area for almost 50 years and purchased our San Francisco home in 1999. In 2001 we began to spend time away and a friend suggested we try VRBO. We learned that people really enjoyed our home-like atmosphere. We are thrilled with the response we have gotten and we work hard to keep our new and returning guests contented and feeling cared for. Visitors say they appreciate our knowledge of the city and our professional attitude.

Most guests mention the feeling of a being in a real home as soon as they enter. We think this is because we still live there part of each year and keep the house comfortable and well maintained not only for our guests but for ourselves as well. We are also proud of our garden, keeping it maintained even while we are away. We paint, scrape, clean, renew, update and replace parts of the house every time we come to visit. We think it shows. Our guests certainly enjoy our home. Read the reviews! 170 Five Star ratings. We get these ratings not because everything is always perfect (we do try, however!) but because we go out of our way to help our guests settle in and feel at home and we respond quickly to any question. Finally, if you are bringing a car, you will absolutely love our little garage (for economy to mid-size cars). Parking rules in SF can make you dizzy. If you don't bring a car - great! - hop on the bus one block from the front door and head downtown or to the beach.
