Bienvenue à nos invités Bluebird! Profitez des magnifiques couchers de soleil depuis Blue Bird Cottage, un cottage face à l'océan situé entre Waldport et Yachats. Avec des kilomètres de plage sablonneuse sur laquelle vous pouvez vous promener ou vous asseoir sur le pont et profiter du spectacle et des sons de l'océan Pacifique.

Le Blue Bird Cottage comprend 2 chambres plus un loft, 1. 5 salles de bain et une cheminée dans le salon pour les nuits froides. Une cour entièrement clôturée pour les animaux et les enfants. Cette maison est également équipée du WiFi pour les vacanciers qui travaillent. C'est l'une des maisons les plus confortables de la côte de l'Oregon!

We loved our stay there. The format of the home was quite enjoyably unique. We loved the view from inside and the back porch. It was supplied with all the essentials needed. Our only concerns were the traffic on the highway at night and the squeaky bathroom floor upstairs. Otherwise we loved this rental!

New mattresses, get rid of that Murphy bed... would make ALL the difference! We even went and bought bed toppers for our 5 day stay, it barely helped.

The cottage is well laid out and very comfortable. It was spotlessly clean, everything works great. You're halfway between Yachats and Waldport so there's plenty of access to restaurants, but we ate most of our meals on the deck because we didn't want to leave! We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days at Blue Bird and will come again.

Spring Break Getaway

We had an amazing time at this property. We three adults, one tween and baby. Oh and our dogs! It was the perfect space. I would recommend it for a couple getaway or family of 4. I chose the property for the enclosed front area and beach access for the dogs:) The deck in the back and the stairs to the beach were great! So easy to manage and a hose placed perfectly to wash off the sand from humans and dogs before you go back up! Are there some quirks - yes but it’s an older, quaint beach cottage ON the beach, not sure how one could complain. I loved our time there and we will definitely be booking the cottage again!

It rained and the winds blew all weekend but we felt safe and cozy in the cottage. We enjoyed bundling up and watching the raging surf from the warmth and safety of the living room. The beds were very comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed for a lovely, very relaxing time. The neighborhood was quaint and felt safe. it was near the highway but the sounds of cars were minimal. The location was perfect for going to Yachats or Walport quickly. I would most definitely stay here again. Hopefully next time during a sunny warm weekend!

The kitchen has everything you need to make your meals in, and avoid the considerable expense of eating out, but there are plenty of options reasonably close by should you choose to splurge. Every bed has a wake-up view of the surf and sky. The shower is wonderful, and large enough for two. Katy in the office was very quick to respond to any of our questions and concerns. We love the Oregon coast, and would certainly return to this property. For location and amenities (and reasonable price, at least during the time we stayed) this was pretty close to the top of our all-time list.

A cute and cozy cottage!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Blue Bird Cottage. The location, beach access and views were perfect. The cottage itself was quaint and comfortable, providing us with adequate amenities for our stay and we look forward to renting it again in the (near) future. The fenced front yard was great for the little pups and the deck overlooking the beach was lovely. We rate the management company, Ocean Odyssey Beach Rentals with an A as they have excellent communication and were extremely pleasant and helpful when we had questions. My only negative was having to pack up and go home.

Great ocean access even though we didn't use it (too windy and hail). Multiple beds and bedrooms, nice bath and kitchen. Nice place to relax at the coast. Not that far a drive to town.

Reviewer Comments: Blue Bird Cottage is perfectly located just north of Yachats with private steps right down to the immense beach with miles of walkability. It was impecably clean despite being a bit dated, but did have a wonderfully updated new shower. The layout of this cute little cottage is quirky though for sure; despite having 3 different sleeping areas and a living room, there was no place to curl up with a cup of tea or a good book that had a view of the ocean. The cottage definitely has direct views of the ocean, but the way it is structured makes it impossible to arrange the furniture to take advantage of them. This would not have been an issue in warmer weather, but in the winter it would have been nice. I can see how the deck would be amazing in warmer weather as well, and would give it another try maybe in the summer next time.

Over the years, it's only gotten better, with an updated bathroom, improved furniture, new fireplace, etc. It's small and old, but clean and comfy. We will continue to return to this darling cottage.

The place is pretty well equipped and the downstairs bathroom is great. The kitchen was definitely workable . The front fenced off area was great for the dog and the beds slept very comfortably. Loved the back deck and views are awesome. The only problem we had was the tile floor in the kitchen. A couple of them aren’t quite level and I tripped on them and face planted and cut my lip. I’m only adding this because I want people to be aware of it. Otherwise, we’re definitely going to try to stay again.

The house is very well kept.Its always clean when we arrive. It has all the amenities you need. You can even look out of the upstairs window and see the spout of a whale or two, along with seals swimming by. Only a few steps down from the deck and you're on the beach. I love it. Can't wait until next year!

Perfectly accomodated our family beach vacation

I can understand if someone is renting a home in the woods in the winter for Thanksgiving with family, that the luxury of the house would play an important role, but some reviews I've read for classic beach cabins show that too many people just want it all, all the time. Well, you can have that, but trust me, you'll pay for it. The Blue Bird gave us a private deck, literally steps away from a virtually private beach, with ample parking, separate sleeping areas, view facing windows and sliding doors, and cozy indoor sitting areas, all for what I would have paid for ****** hotel rooms for 4 people, sharing rooms, etc. I will admit that I am not picky, I'm not a germaphobe, and I am most certainly NOT a chef. So yes, the house has some slight drawbacks that didn't really bother me. The kitchen is tiny and a little bit of a juggle for food prep, the queen murphy bed downstairs was like a big marshmallow that swallowed me into the middle, but my wife wasn't with us on this trip so it was fine for just me. And yeah, the whole place is the exact same amount of run down you would expect from a classic 1970s era beach cabin. The description does in fact call it a "cottage", and I agree. I wasn't looking for fancy or luxurious. The pictures looked shabby chic, and that's exactly how we found it. On the upsides, communication from the rental company was excelllent throughout, the shower is awesome, and the hot water did not disappoint, there were ample towels, sheets and blankets, dish soap, and laundry detergent. But the deck, oh my did my daughters and I enjoy it. We did not eat a single meal indoors over our stay. When it was rainy we pulled chairs in front of the open sliding glass doors. The only thing I would change would be to move the highway about 500 yards to the east, and of course that's not the house's fault. If I need a beach cabin again, the Blue Bird makes the list.
