Just steps from the beach and walkable to top restaurants, cafés, and nightlife, this upscale complex features lush tropical gardens and two stunning swimming pools. The unit offers a private garden-view patio, easy one-step entry, and convenient nearby parking—luxury, comfort, and convenience in one exceptional stay.

Guest can easily get in touch directly through the booking platform chat, which I regularly receive notifications for. This ensures support throughout your stay and helps keep communication simple and seamless.

Relaxed beachfront area, walking distance to a great variety of superb restaurants, coffee shops, spas and beach clubs.

Guests have full access to the two-bedroom rental space and all listed amenities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Please note that while the property has three bedrooms, one bedroom is locked and is not included in the rental. Additionally, select owner storage cupboards are locked for private use.

This spacious home is offered as a two-bedroom rental and is thoughtfully designed for comfort and privacy. The primary bedroom features a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV with sound bar, a Peloton bike, and a private en-suite bathroom with shower.



The second bedroom includes a queen-size bed, with dumbbells stored under the bed for guest use. A separate main bathroom with shower is accessible from the living area.



The open living and dining spaces create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The living room features a large flat-screen TV with sound bar, making it ideal for movie nights or unwinding after a day out.



The home includes a fully equipped and well-stocked kitchen, with ample cookware and appliances, including mixing bowls, baking pans, muffin trays, a blender, and an Instant Pot, making it suitable for both short and longer stays.



Outside, guests can enjoy a private patio with a barbecue, perfect for outdoor dining or relaxing in the evenings.



For beach days, beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, and a wagon are provided for guest use.



Please note that a third bedroom and select owner storage cupboards are locked and not part of the rental. These areas are reserved for owner use only and do not impact guest comfort. All other areas shown in the listing are fully accessible and included in the stay.






The property is located in a walkable area with restaurants, cafes, shops and the beach nearby. Taxis, shuttles and rideshare services are readily available. Golf carts, scooters, bikes or tuk-tuks are commonly rented by guests to travel around the town. Car rentals are a great option for those that would like to do some exploring beyond the immediate area.

Interbus shuttle picks up from the Java coffee shop nearby and they provide shuttle service to many Costa Rican destinations including to Nicaragua.

The Pulmitan bus picks up from downtown Playas del Coco and has many destinations around Costa Rica for a reasonable price.

As per Costa Rican regulations for short-term rentals introduced in 2026, all hosts are required to maintain a guest registry for security and registration purposes. Foreign guests will be required to provide a copy of their passport, while Costa Rican residents may provide a copy of their cédula (national ID).

When I first purchased this condo, it was intended as a personal vacation home. After looking at many different properties in the area, I chose Sombras because of its ideal location just beside the beach and the peaceful, resort-like atmosphere of the complex.

One of the things that immediately stood out to me about Sombras is the beautiful tropical landscaping throughout the property. The lush gardens are quite unique compared to many other complexes in the area and create a calm, private environment that feels more like a small tropical resort.

I also loved how walkable the location is. From the condo you can easily walk to the beach, restaurants, cafés, shops, and nightlife in Playas del Coco. When traveling with family or friends, having everything nearby makes a trip much more enjoyable. Everyone can come and go independently without needing to coordinate taxis or transportation.

Another big advantage of this location is its proximity to Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, which is only about a 25-minute drive away. That makes arrivals and departures very convenient for guests, whether arranging a shuttle, driver, or rental car.

The combination of beach access, walkability, beautiful landscaping, and easy airport access is what made Sombras such an appealing place to own and share with guests.

The home also offers strong high-speed Wi-Fi for streaming or remote work and two large smart TVs with sound bars for relaxing in the evenings.

Guests who enjoy staying active can use the Peloton bike and dumbbells, while the fully stocked kitchen provides everything needed to comfortably prepare meals during your stay.

One of the highlights of the home is the private garden patio surrounded by tropical greenery. It features a large barbecue and outdoor dining area, perfect for relaxing or enjoying meals outside.
