Christmas get away

We enjoyed our stay over Christmas! The house was lovely and clean, it was well stocked with cooking essentials, towels and bedding. Its located in a quiet gated community centrally located to everything you may need.

Great house, great value

House was exactly as described, and well appointed. Owner was responsive before the visit, and the property manager was excellent (we couldn’t figure out how something worked and he was there right away to help). Highly recommend!

Spacious home in great location

My husband and I spent 3 weeks in the home. It is very spacious and the location is perfect! Close to Publix & Target. Ft. Myers Beach is just a few miles. Many restaurants are also close. Enjoyed the beautiful pool. Property manager answered any questions quickly. A new dishwasher was installed while there, and manager was there when delivered and installed.Living room furniture could use an update.Would definitely stay here again.

Look no further!

We had a wonderful 6 weeks in this beautiful, spacious home. Heidi was very easy to interact with and very responsive. The pool is solar heated and is amazing! The zero entry pool would be very nice for little ones. The location is awesome. Close to the beach and several restaurants. We have booked this again for next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful home away from home

We loved our 2 months stay, and are already looking forward to next year. We spent most of the time enjoying the large screened-in lanai and the solar heated pool. The lanai had comfortable lounge and Adirondack chairs, an outside dining table for 6, and a gas grill…wonderful!The house was comfortably furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed for us to feel right at home. It’s in a well-maintained, quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The location could not be better… Publix, Target, Planet Fitness and restaurants just a few minutes away and the beach about 4 miles down the road.Check in was easy, and communication was great with all the information we needed ahead of time along with helpful info about local restaurants, attractions, etc.We only needed to contact the property manager once when the pool pump stopped working. He responded immediately and the pool maintenance man arrived within 2 hours and replaced a part. Some of our children and grandchildren also visited, so we have lots of memories and photos of the good times we shared in this warm and welcoming home.

Great Holiday

The property is very nice as well as the neighbourhood. The house is beautiful and very spacious (much bigger than we needed). We enjoyed the pool - distance to beach was a bit far. A rental car is needed. We used the bikes and the pool toys. The pool was a bit colder than we like but we still used/enjoyed it. A few basics would have helped upon arrival (before getting to the store). There was coffee and some spices but no sugar or oil etc. Everything needed to be purchased. We left many items for the next guest (condiments, laundry soap etc.). The VRBO site made paying a bit more challenging (the site wasn't working - inconvenient). Overall, we really enjoyed the house and the area and would highly recommend this property. The owners and property manager were easily accessed and communicated quickly. A great holiday!

Thanks a lot for the rating. Regarding the pool, if the outside temperature is low, as it could be at this time, the solar heat can't heat the pool up to 80. Sorry, the pool is big and it will loose temperature during the night. Usually you will find oil and sugar and so on, but you where the one of the first renters after one year with covid. We hope, to have you as our guests again.

Nice home great pool and location

This home was very nice and spacious in a perfect location for Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel I will list our opinion in pros and cons Pros Like I stated the location is perfect situated for everything beaches, dining, shopping and only 25 minutes from the airport The pool is beautiful and well maintained The home is spacious with all appliances needed for your stay Plenty of linens for both pool and bathroom Cons There were tons of tiny ants all over the counter in the kitchen we kept cleaning them and finally went and bought ant traps and spray and that seemed to help They advertise a small “daybed” in a small room my 7 year old was excited to use that room for his but it was locked if the owners don’t want you to use the room they should remove the picture It was hot outside and during the day the air conditioner struggled to keep the house below 80 degrees luckily at night it made it comfortable to sleep The cleaning people could do a better job cleaning there was hair in the shower and the floors were not mopped Overall we give it 3 1/2 stars mainly because of the ant problem and cleanliness but if they rectified those things it would be 4 stars I know some people would have given 1 star because of the ants but I certainly didn’t let that ruin my family’s vacation

Our stay was very nice. The accommodations were good and the kitchen was stocked nicely. Is was great having a washer and dryer and the extra pool chairs and pool toys were a bonus. Our pool person did not come to service/clean the pool and turn the heater on for the pool until the 10th day we were there. We enjoyed being close to Ft Meyer Beach, great parks with nice pickleball courts and plenty of restaurants and grocery stores close by. We had a great month and great weather!! Thank you !!

Spitze Lage, in Kurzer Zeit ist man überall, Schönes Haus, Der flache Einlaufbereich im Pool ist wahnsinnig schön für Kinder. Unser Sohn hätte wohl den ganzen Urlaub nur im Pool verbringen können. Super Nachbarschaft, Nette Leute, kleine sehr gepflegte Anlage. Die Vermieterin in in Deutschland und super nett, hilft gerne weiter. Auch mit Infos zur Umgebung und Ausflügen.

Erholsamer Urlaub

Wir hatten dieses Haus für die letzte Woche unseres dreiwöchigen Urlaubs in Florida gebucht. Die Vermieterin und auch der Verwalter (Karl) vor Ort waren sehr nett. Das Haus ist, wie auf den Bildern zu sehen, sehr geräumig und die Vermieterin hat an alles gedacht. Es gibt sogar ein Buch mit einigen Infos über das Haus (Müllentsorgung, Benutzung einiger Sachen und auch Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung). Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, so dass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Der eigene Pool war riesig für uns vier und auch an kleine Kinder (hatten wir zwar nicht) wurde gedacht. Vorne war es sehr flach, hinten wurde es bis zu 2m tief. Spielzeug für den Pool war vorhanden. Auch für den Strand gab es Stühle, einen Sonnenschirm und Spielzeug. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen (Walmart, Aldi, CVS, Publix, Post office). Wir hatten dort eine schöne Zeit und können dieses Haus mit sehr gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Schönes, voll ausgestattetes Haus

Wir erlebten sehr schöne, ruhige Tage in dem Haus. Es war alles vorhanden. Gerade mit Kindern sehr zu empfehlen, da eine komplette Beach/Poolausrüstung vorhanden ist und sogar 4 Fahrräder zur Verfügung standen. Leider war es nur oberflächlich sauber.Vor allem die Küche hätte eine intensivere Reinigung nötig. Auch war der Wasserdruck bei den sanitären Anlagen knapp.

Schönes Haus für einen Familienurlaub

Wir hatten zwei tolle Wochen im Haus von Heidi und Nico. Als Familie mit kleinen Kindern (1+3) ist es perfekt ausgestattet mit Kinderbett, Hochstuhl, Spielzeug (indoor & outdoor) und einem Pool mit seichtem Einstieg und Sonnenschutz und einer großen Terrasse - absolut perfekt! Auch die Ausstattung der Küche, des Hauswirtschaftraums und der Garage sind sehr gut und umfassend. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Wifi war gut und schnell. Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wir hatten ein paar kleinere Probleme mit Defekten. Zum Glück gibt es einen tollen Hausverwalter (Karl), der sich sofort um alles kümmert und immer ansprechbar ist. Grundsätzlich war das Haus sauber, aber allzu genau sollte man nicht schauen, wenn einem etwas unter das Bett rollt… Für uns war die Lage perfekt, da viele Restaurants in der nahen Umgebung liegen, 10 Minuten fahrt zum Strand (aktuell ohne Parkgebühren) und einige State Parks und Reserves in 20-30 Minuten Fahrt zu erreichen sind. Für uns war es allerdings etwas ungewohnt, dass man alles mit dem Auto macht und nicht zu Fuß geht, wie es hier wohl üblich ist… Die benachbarte Straße hinter dem Zaun/Mauer hat uns nicht gestört. Vielen Dank an Heidi, Nico und Karl, dass wir hier einen schönen Aufenthalt hatten. Wir können das Haus gerade für Familien empfehlen.

Disappointed

When we arrived there were dead bugs in the entryway and spiders everywhere. The refrigerator didn’t work at all. The couple that helps with the property brought an office fridge for us to use for a family of 4 for the week. When going to bed the first night there were drool stains in the bedding. When I confronted the owner she told me they caught a plane early and didn’t get time to wash the sheets. Our second morning at the house consisted of cleaning, spraying for bugs and washing bedding. By the 3rd day the air conditioner stopped working. The house was 81 degrees. The owners did get someone out to fix it the next day. I strongly suggested that they use a professional cleaning company as renters pay a high cleaning fee. The friends that help with the property said they are the ones that clean and it is not adequate AT ALL. This would be a great property if they took care of it.

Very nice house with a perfect location.

The house was just as described. It is in a gated and very quiet neighborhood. The location is awesome. Under 5 miles to Fort Myers beach and under a 1/2 mile to a Target, Walmart and Publix and many very nice restaurants. The check in went very smooth and Karl was available for any questions. There are three adult bicycles and two kids bikes in garage although one of the bikes needs a new tire. Also some beach chairs and sand buckets for the beach. There is a spacious covered outdoor living area which we enjoyed both during the days and night times. The pool is very nice with a great shallow area for kids to play although it was really too cold to use very much. The solar heat just doesn't work for January to April snowbirds. We were in the house all of March and the temps were in the mid to high 80s all month but the pool temp never got out of the 70s. It would just get near 80 by the afternoon but back in the mid 70s in the morning. A little disappointing for winter renters. I would think a solar cover would help heat the pool and keep it from loosing heat during the nights. That or an electric or gas heater. The only other thing I would suggest is a bigger TV. The huge house only has one 35" TV which is not great for March madness. Both of these issues are fixable. I understand the owners live in Germany and with the Covid stuff going on were not able to visit the last couple years. If they can take care of these two issues this is a great house to rent.

Pros & Cons

The neighborhood and location is great! You feel very safe. The house is a nice size and the enclosed patio & pool are awesome!!! We took the bus to beach worked out pretty good. We drove to the bus station and it was only a 15 min ride. If we were there in March I think a solar pool would work great. Our first experience with solar pool and was just too chili for us in February. We are in our 60's . We were a little disappointed the tv was so small and their was only one since tv's are so cheap now. For those cold and wet days a bigger and 2 tv's would be great., since there are 4 bedrooms. Other than that it was great!!!
