Welcome to The Island On Lake Travis, an elegant condo complex that offers luxurious Lake Travis waterfront accommodations located on a 14-acre island. This gated resort offers condos for rent whether it be long or short term. A very unique aspect about our property is each condo is done to individual owners taste.
The Island on Lake Travis is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing romantic escape, and enjoy wildlife and breathtaking sunset views over the lake.
There are plenty of local attractions to explore to keep you busy if you are looking for something fun and exciting to do. Take a day trip to Marble Falls or Fredericksburg, check out one of the 18 hole golf courses nearby, or enjoy a wine tasting at a Flat Creek Winery!
When you rent from Island Rentals, you can expect top-notch customer service, and dedication to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Each of our condo's come with a fully equipped kitchen and linens for the bedrooms and baths. Covered Parking is on ground level with reserved parking, and additional "guest" spaces as well. There are 5 elevators on property.
We provide our guests with check in information prior to their arrival, which will include the front gate code, assigned parking spaces, directions to the condo and door code for added convenience. (Front Desk Check In is not required, and allows guests to arrive and access condo late at night if necessary).

Great stay

Excellent place to have a vacation stay. Stayed there for 75 days. Any minor issues we had was quickly solved by Northshore staff. Condo was quite roomy with a good sized patio.

Excellent location

The Island at Lake Travis is an excellent place to stay. 3 pools and 3 hot tubs with a complete exercise room including a sauna. Have dealt with North Shore Vacation Rentals for a couple of years and have found them to be excellent to work with. Very easy to work with and problems are always solved quickly. Highly recommend staying here.

Great Place

The views of Lake Travis are spectacular. Our two bedroom Villa was in excellent shape and had everything we needed. The exercise room and sauna were first rate. Having two swimming pool areas with hot tubs provided ample space for everyone to enjoy them. Indoor parking is a nice touch. Enjoyed working North Shore. Had a few minor issues with the Villa and they were handled promptly by Jayson. All in all I would highly recommend staying on the Island at Lake Travis and will definitely return.

The condo is in a nice area. Bedroom layout works well for a family of four. Overall it is OK - very clean. It is showing some wear. There is duct tape holding up a fridge shelf, dining chairs are really worn, a few broken blinds and master carpet needs replacing. The management company is great to work with. Biggest disappointment is that we didn't realize it does not have a main lake view. The condo looks out onto the front gate/drive. Overall OK stay for a family looking for a place with boat dock/water access.

Looks can be deceiving

Overall this property was just not it. We were shocked at the low quality compared to the pictures. The beds were rickety. There were 3 roaches. The water took a lonnnng time to heat up, so much so we thought it was broken. Then the AC went out. The sink faucet needs to be repaired. The place is “clean-ish” to the eye, but you can tell it’s not been well cared for. I was shocked to see some of the other properties. We definitely booked the worst out of all of our friends and paid the most.

half ass cleaning

I took pictures, there was feces smeared on the wall in the master bathroom upon arrival. They do not clean under furniture, dust and left over food from previous tenants. Master bed sheets had a blood spot, not stain, so I’m not sure if sheets were clean to begin with. Utensils in the drawer still had food on them. Microwave had a busted door, fridge was dirty. It’s like they just fix the bed and changed out the trash. Master tub also had filth from the jets. The facility itself needs more love. If they just cleaned, a thorough cleaning, it would be so beautiful! Cleaning crew take pride and do better!

Sorry about the housekeeping mishap and everything has been cleaned thoroughly. Not sure what happened since you never contacted us during your stay. We have housekeeping and maintenance facilities onsite and gave you their contact information if you ever need anything.

Spot-on

We really enjoyed our stay; thanks for your care for the place. I have a few mechanical reports to share, lest you don't notice them yourselves at some point. They did NOT diminish our enjoyment at all, though. 1) We couldn't figure out lighting. The overhead light above the coffee table, how to turn it on? Maybe labeling the light switches would help. 2) Similarly, the lamp beside the chair in the living room wouldn't turn on, testing all switches and even substituting an extra lamp we'd found in the closet. 3) Many of the dining room table chairs had broken legs, quite a liability for young children sitting in them. 4) The door from the living room out to the patio has a hard time latching. Thanks again for establishing such a comfortable place for our family to get a much-needed getaway!

not impressed

We have stayed in a different unit in this complex before and had been happy. This time was not great. The unit was pretty dirty (as in some of the furniture looked like someone had smeared ice cream or something all over it). There was no soap or dishwasher detergent. I'd also say the exterior pictures and map with highlighted unit are very misleading. The highlighted unit was actually the sales office, not the actual unit. The actual unit looks right over a traffic circle. And finally, getting into the complex is a real pain. The keypad to let you through the gates is absolutely horrible. You have to enter the code several times to get in and often we would get booted out of the system for no apparent reason and have to start over again. Very frustrating. On a positive note, once in, parking was easy.
