During your stay, the Destin area experienced a tropical storm, which brought an unusual number of Asian cockroaches indoors throughout the area. After your report, we immediately had Florida Pest Control inspect and treat both the home and the entire property. Their licensed technicians confirmed the insects were Asian roaches, not German cockroaches, and explained that these seasonal insects are often driven indoors by weather. They also confirmed they do not establish indoor infestations and would not survive transport home. We understand that seeing any insects during a vacation is unsettling, which is why we responded promptly, arranged multiple pest control visits, and even offered alternative accommodations to minimize the disruption to your stay. The tropical weather also contributed to debris collecting in the pool between scheduled service visits. While a skimmer net is provided for guests to remove any leaves or pine straw that may fall between cleanings, we understand this impacted your enjoyment of the outdoor space. Since your visit, we've continued to make improvements to the home, including replacing the grill, addressing the lighting concerns, and updating outdoor furnishings. We remain committed to maintaining a high standard for both our guests and homeowners and appreciate feedback that helps us continue improving the property.
