This house was perfect for a sweet 17 slumber party for my girls. Plenty of room, plenty of beds and things to do close by. Planning a boys weekend here next!

We believe the place needs a renovation. Only two bathrooms have showers, and one of them needs an exhaust fan to vent moisture and does not even have A/C. The outside area needs a little bit of cleaning because there was bird poop on the chairs and the grill was unclean. The rooms need fans for better airflow. Also, the kitchen needs a vent too; it gets smoky quickly when you are using the oven and the stovetop. But the place is very big and comfortable and easy to get into. Maybe add a water deck, because there is no free access to the beach in town.

Hi Alexis, thank you for the detailed feedback, we take it seriously and appreciate you sharing it. The house is over 100 years old, and while it's been updated over the years, a few things you mentioned, A/C and ventilation in that second bathroom, and ventilation in the kitchen, would require more extensive renovation work than a quick fix. Those are things we'll consider as part of a larger renovation down the road, but not planned in the near term. In the meantime, we've flagged the outdoor furniture and grill for a deeper clean before the next guests arrive - that's not the standard we hold ourselves to. We're glad the size, comfort and easy access worked well for you, that's exactly the experience we want at Bay Dreams. One quick note for anyone reading this before booking: there are (and always have been) portable fans in each room for extra airflow. On beach access, the nearest public beach is about a mile away and charges a fee for non-residents (this is noted in the listing); we don't have direct or free access to offer at the house. A private pier isn't something we're planning at this time, but it's helpful feedback for us to have on record. Thanks again for taking the time to write this, it genuinely helps us improve the place for future stays.

We had such a wonderful time at the house with all of its charm and spaces to relax and enjoy the view of the Chesapeake Bay. It was the perfect getaway (not so far from home) for a women’s weekend. I cannot say enough about the stunning view of the glistening water and the energy of being right on the Bay. The host was wonderful, helpful and kind. We didn't venture away from the house because the weather was so amazing and we just enjoyed the house and yard so much, but there are shops and restaurants and things to do right down the road. We have food delivered from a local restaurant, Baia, and it was delicious! The house has tons of character and steps to the closest bathroom, which is good to know for those with mobility concerns. We hope to come back again!

We had an amazing trip! The house was beautiful and the kitchen had everything you needed for simple meals. The outdoor space was unmatched. Beautiful views all around. The property manager checked in with us and gave great restaurant recommendations.
