À propos de cet hébergement
Tiny Home - Walk Everywhere - Private & Convenient - Sleeps 2 - No Car Needed
A burst of color in the heart of downtown Juneau. This is a true tiny home! The main living/sleeping space is approximately 5' × 10', with a queen Murphy bed, about 27" alongside it and 15" at the head and foot when open, plus ample overhead and cabinet storage.
You’ll also have a full private bathroom, microwave, mini fridge and coffeemaker, plus your own entrance and zero shared walls.
Blocks from Juneau’s best nightlife and the AK Capitol, it’s a tiny but mighty downtown base camp.
The space
This listing is a tiny home off to the side of our family home here in Downtown Juneau. Looking from the street, the tiny home is to the right of the main home.
We love living downtown, and we think you’ll love it too. Most days, we don’t have to drive — most things we need are within easy walking distance.
We’ll often walk a few blocks down the hill to Deckhand Dave’s for some fish tacos, to the Crystal Saloon for live music, to In Boca Al Lupo for James Beard Award-nominated pizza and pasta, or to Devil’s Club Brewing for Trivia Tuesdays.
Up the hill, there’s easy access to trails like Mt. Roberts, Perseverance Trail, Mt. Juneau and the Gold Creek Flume Trail. We’re also just four short blocks from the Alaska State Capitol and a 10- or 15-minute walk from Centennial Hall Convention Center.
Guest access
Guests may use the deck area in front of the tiny home, including a small bar-height table and chairs.
Other things to note
This is a truly tiny home designed to make the most of a very compact space. The main living/sleeping area is roughly 5 feet wide by 10 feet long after accounting for the built-in cabinetry and Murphy bed. It’s best suited for travelers who pack light or prioritize a fantastic downtown location over extra living space.
The queen Murphy bed folds down for sleeping and converts to a small table when raised. With the bed down, there is approximately 27 inches of walking space alongside it and about 15 inches of clearance at the head and foot. Instructions for raising and lowering the Murphy bed are included in the printed welcome guide.
While floor space is limited, we’ve made the most of the walls: there is ample overhead and cabinet storage, several drawers, and two small rods for hanging clothes. There’s enough storage to unpack for a longer stay rather than living out of your suitcase.
The micro-kitchenette includes a microwave, minifridge and coffeemaker. There is also a full private bathroom with a shower.
The studio has a heater but no AC. Juneau’s mild summers generally make AC unnecessary, and opening the window cools this tiny space quickly.
