À propos de cet hébergement
Historic 1850 Cabin • Queen Bed • Serenity in a Peaceful Village
Our hope is that our house will bring you the same relaxation and serenity that it does for us. Marshallville is like stepping back in time. A time of a simpler peaceful life where families take walks together, kids riding bikes, children's laughter and shenanigans can be heard, neighbor's chit chat with each other and people just stop by to visit.
Sometime before 1850, someone in Ohio picked up an axe and started hand hewing logs for their family home. What they built is still standing for nearly 200 years— and now you can enjoy it. The hand‑cut tool marks are still etched into the beams. Not as décor—just history that never left. Nestled in Marshallville, Ohio — a genuinely calm little town in Wayne County where the peacefulness hits you the moment you step out the door. This pre-1850 hand-hewn log cabin is the kind of place that makes your regular life feel very loud by comparison.
Walk in and the walnut hardwood floors tell you something is different here. The layout is open-concept — kitchen and living room flowing together as one warm, connected space. The kitchen isn't a kitchenette: it's a custom, full-size modern kitchen with quartz countertops. The bathroom is large and fully updated. The bedroom is spacious with a queen bed. And then there are the spiral stairs. Follow them up from the main floor and you arrive at the loft — a cozy, elevated nook that looks back down over the kitchen and living room below. It's equal parts charming and unexpected. Step outside onto the large deck and into the yard, and you'll understand why guests don't want to leave. Marshallville is small and quiet in a way that feels earned, not manufactured. No traffic noise. Just the kind of stillness that reminds you what a weekend is supposed to feel like.
Located in Marshallville, enjoy the Johnson Woods State Nature Preserve, Robert Booker Nature Preserve and Heartland Trails.
