We loved this home! Very peaceful and super clean. Being on the waterfront was so nice, we opened the windows at night and slept well to the sound of the waves.

Amazing home. The property and views are memories we will cherish. Sunsets on the porch and on chairs by the water. The small touches did not go unnoticed. Bathroom floors that were heated, fireplaces, towel warmer. 10 of 10

We had a fantastic week here. The house was very clean and comfortable. It sits on a beautiful piece of coastline. Hilary was very responsive and there was a very detailed guest book with reviews of all the area restaurants and suggestions for grocery stores and other local activities. We also enjoyed amazing sunsets each night.

Caddo North is a wonderful house with comfortable furniture, original artwork, and a very well stocked kitchen. We felt at home from the minute we walked in and enjoyed time on the deck and on the point. Hilary is an extraordinary host

A true Maine experience

This house was secluded but the location of the home made it an ideal base from which to explore Acadia and points nearby. Our family could have spent the entire week watching the seals, sunsets and ocean scenery that the property featured. Wonderful hosts as well.

Stunning property inside and out. Host was so informative and responsive. Our party of 6 adults all enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Absolutely no complaints. Views were gorgeous!

Great Maine Get Away

Outstanding from start to finish!!! From Check in to Check out Hilary and this property was perfect. We enjoyed everything, especially the fireplace and the views. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to enjoy a great meal. We visited many attractions around the area and the property location made that easy. We highly recommend this Property and would stay here again in the future. Thanks!

Perfect Downeast Maine Family Gathering Home

Spectacular Downeast home with everything you need and beautiful views. If you’re looking for an authentic Downeast location, this is your home. Watch the lobsterman pull traps and seals swim/feed. Then there are the sunsets which are spectacular. We love visiting the quieter areas of Acadia which gives you more of a pristine view of the park.

Awesome Property

The property was fantastic. The house was perfect for me, my husband, kids and their spouses. It was clean and fully stocked with everything imaginable. I've never stayed at a rental like this. It was only about 40 minutes from Acadia but we did not mind to go to hustle bustle and then come back to this oasis with the most beautiful back yard and view.

Outstanding!!!!!!

Absolutely incredible!! The only thing even slightly negative is that there wasn’t enough hot water to fill jacuzzi bathtub, but no big deal. My daughter and I LOVED the hiking, especially Pigeon Hill Preserve!! And the fireplaces were used every night!!!!

Incredible!

We had an incredible time at Caddo North! We found your visitor’s guide to be incredibly helpful and accurate! We saw bald eagles, porpoises, and black ducks. We hiked Donnell Pond up the huge mountain where the views were majestic and every bit as awe inspiring as anything in Acadia. We ate lobster rolls on the wharf in Correa. The house felt warm and spacious. Each sunset from the deck and chairs was a cant miss event!

Perfection on Maine’s coast.

Caddo North exceeded our wildest expectations - it is indeed as wonderful as it looks. The location was absolutely gorgeous, as was the home. The bay was so peaceful and abounded with wildlife (bald eagles, seals, etc.) - we loved sitting in the adirondack chairs for most of the days. Gouldsboro was a great base for our coastal adventures, from Bar Harbor to Lubec, and far removed from tourist crowds. The house itself was spotless, with all amenities we could possibly have needed for relaxing, birdwatching, cooking meals, and catching up on some good books. We fell in love with Maine (and Dunbars grocery) and look forward to returning one day. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home and lovely piece of Maine.

A wonderful stay

3 adults and a black lab had a wonderful week in Caddo North. The house is gorgeous and perfectly appointed. The setting is as beautiful as it gets. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. There is plenty to do, even with the restrictions of the pandemic this year. I would definitely recommend staying on this peninsula if visiting the Acadia National park are. The Bar Harbor peninsula is so busy. You can get there easily enough by car or ferry, and the Winter Harbor area and Schoodic part of the park are just as nice with less congestion. Hilary was super helpful. Her “guide” tells you everything you need to know. If you are thinking about renting this house, you should do it. Don’t miss out!

peaceful, serene, relaxing

Wonderful communication with owner. Small issues were dealt with easily. Felt like heaven sitting out on the huge new deck with that great view. Enjoyed our walks on the rural road, and the bonus of all the wild blueberries we picked along the way. Blueberry pancake Sundays! No cable TV, but we don't watch TV much anyway. DVD player worked fine for evening movies. Gorgeous woodwork through the house, all rooms upstairs that included the kitchen, master bedroom, living room had beautiful views over the water. Huge walk in closet in bedroom. Was surprised to see the tiny plastic shower with curtain in the master bathroom. Didn't fit the style of the home. We managed it OK, but larger people may have a difficulty. Could have used a CD/radio player upstairs, but we borrowed the little radio clock for local radio station for music. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Ocean Oasis

This was the best experience I have ever had regarding a rental. Hilary was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond in making sure we had what we needed. She provided extensive information on restaurants, trails, etc., including information on how to get to these locations, what to expect at these locations, and more. She thought of everything - even left us a container of Lysol wipes to make us feel comfortable in light of COVID! The property was gorgeous. It was the perfect cabin nestled in the woods. We had beautiful views of the harbor. Although we came to explore Acadia, we could've stayed the entire weekend just on the property. We plan to stay again if Hilary will have us!

August in Gouldsboro

This was the first week of our two week three generations summer vacation. We enjoyed the house and the setting tremendously. All the rooms were spacious and the furniture comfortable. The deck allowed us to let our dog spend a lot of time outside without our worrying about him. We played golf at Grindstone Golf and would love to play it again. We were able to get take out food from the local restaurants which was excellent. Lastly, the portion of Acadia National Park which is located nearby made for great sight seeing and biking. We would love to come back again..

Beautiful house and property

The view was spectacular! We had a lot of fun walking around the property too and saw a sea lion poke his head out of the water at the point.

Wonderful Week

The house was beautiful, the view spectacular, and we loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs along the coast. It was our favorite spot. Our girls loved running on the rocks and looking for treasures in the tide pools.

PERFECT

The house was absolutely beautiful only to be surpassed by the setting. There was nothing left out as far as amenities and far surpassed any of the rental properties we have utilized. Would be a perfect place to simply spend time if you never left the property but that would be somewhat of a shame not to explore the awesome area. We loved it and hopefully can return in the future.
