Belle villa toscane

Restaurée récemment, cette ferme offre un hébergement de cinq chambres, dont quatre chambres au premier étage, dont trois avec salle de bains. Il y a une chambre au rez-de-chaussée avec salle de bains et trois chambres voûtées en berceau offrant un superbe espace de vie. Les plafonds avec poutres apparentes et les sols d'origine conservent le caractère et le charme simple de cette ferme toscane avec beaucoup de lumière naturelle. La maison se trouve au bord de l '"Alpe della Luna" ou "montagnes de la lune" de la Toscane et est accessible par une route goudronnée calme qui mène à un réseau de pistes pour se promener dans le parc national dans lequel se trouve la maison. Excellente vue plein sud vers Sansepolcro (9 km) où l'on peut profiter de l'atmosphère particulière d'une "petite Florence" avec ses excellents restaurants, boutiques, bars et bien sûr le musée de "Piero della Francesca". Il y a une piscine chauffée solaire de 5m x 12m, une oliveraie, des arbres fruitiers et des rosiers grimpants. Superbes vues sur la vallée et les collines tout autour. Un restaurant de première classe est à quelques pas et est ouvert toute l'année. Les propriétaires ont récemment ajouté le satellite Sky avec plus de 200 chaînes (dont beaucoup en anglais) dont Sky News, Sky Sports (langue originale) et Sky Cinema (langue originale).

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful Italian villa for 5 nights and honestly couldn’t fault it!The villa itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a real authentic Italian feel throughout. It was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable family stay. The bedrooms were beautiful and there was plenty of space for everyone.The pool was absolutely fabulous and was definitely a highlight for us and the children! There were lots of sun loungers and floats for the children, which made spending time around the pool even more enjoyable. There were also plenty of lovely sunny spots to relax and soak up the Italian sunshine.It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making the villa family-friendly, and we really appreciated all the little touches that made our stay so easy and enjoyable.A truly beautiful villa in a gorgeous setting, and somewhere we would absolutely love to return to. Perfect location for a stay with family and friends

We had a very relaxing stay for one week in this wonderful house this summer with the whole family. The house is very well equipped, it is very clean and it is located in a very silent area. Booking, Check-in / Check-out and support during our stay by Simon & Giovanni worked like a charm. I can highly recommend this location and we hope to stay there again in the future.

We had an amazing stay at this villa! Everything exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The place was clean and very well taken care of, which made us feel comfortable right away. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to make meals. One of the highlights for us was the huge backyard, we were lucky to have great weather, so we spent a lot of time outside relaxing and enjoying the space. Communication with the host was excellent. Both Chris and Simon were very responsive and always quick to reply to any questions we had, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.One small thing to note is that it took a little while for the house to warm up. We probably should have packed slightly warmer clothes, but it didn’t take away from our stay at all.Overall, we had a fantastic time and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Family Holiday

An absolutely fantastic stay in this beautiful property. The host and the property manager were both so accommodating and helpful. We felt very safe, including pool safety etc with 2 small children (18 months and 3.5 years). Brilliant outdoor space which was all used on a daily basis. The host also kindly gave us some brilliant recommendations for restaurants and cooking class which we are so glad we booked. Highly recommend booking this property, definitely on our list to come back to!

Amazing holiday home

We were two families and our mother staying in this lovely house. We especially enjoyed the pool and gorgeous views from the pool. The house itself was clean and well kept and easily fitted 10 people between 2 and 70 years old. Communication was smooth before and during the stay and Simon and his family gave us a warm welcome. Would happily recommend it and come back.

A lovely house in the tranquil Tuscan hills

We had a perfect week in this delightful house. It accommodated our large family group perfectly and we loved the pool, beautiful views and the pretty town of San Sepolcro nearby. Chris was welcoming and helpful from a distance, and Simon and his family, who look after the villa and its lovely gardens, were very kind and so helpful - a real addition to our stay.Warmly recommended!

We had a lovely holiday, the villa had lots of room and the pool was fantastic. Couple of places to have meals and kitchen was good. Interesting area, went to Cortona, Assisi and Arezzo. Wonderful house and wonderful surroundings

First of all, the house is extraordinary with a big kitchen and four bedrooms with private bathrooms. The garden is very nice and we were happy for the fine sitting areas and pizza oven. The swimming pool was very nice, and the air is light because of the altitude. Overall the pictures on internet gives a good view of the house. The city of Sansepolcro served us with super markets, specially the Coop.

A piece of heaven

This place has it all. A wonderfully furnished, welleqipt and spacious house. A beautiful and large garden. A lovely pool. And last but not least a stunning view from all parts of the property. Add to this a very kind and helpfull housekeeper. We had two wonderfull weeks and would love to come back. Do not miss a visit to Anghiari which is a village out of a farry tale or the L’Osteria in Aboca down the road - one of our very best restaurant experiences. Great food - great service!

Ideal family villa in a wonderful location

We have stayed in many rental properties throughout Italy over the past twenty years and this was certainly in the top three. The villa was clean, well-equipped, easy to get around, spacious and very comfortable. It was March so the pool was too cool to use. The grounds were still well-kept even this early in the season with wonderful views towards Sansepolcro. At the bottom of the hill (a seven minute walk) in one of the best restaurants around. The food and wine list is so good the walk home takes rather a lot longer. We thoroughly recommend the property

Beautiful Villa -perfect for a girls trip

We were five mature women looking for the full tuscan experience and we found it. The villa is as beautiful as described. Spacious rooms, big kitchen and the pool area was lovely. The outdoor breakfast area was especially popular for morning coffees. If you go, though, you must have a car as public transportation is not easily accessible. The kitchen is well equipped but was missing some basic food supplies, such as salt and pepper, spices or paper towels. I would also have expected there to be sufficient toilet paper and hand soap for the bathrooms but we had to buy that as well. Not a huge deal, more of an inconvenience really. Overall though, one of the nicest places we've stayed at. Would definitely recommend.

Hi Michelle, Thank you for your review and feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your stay despite the issues you have raised. My sincerest apologies for the lack of some basic items such as salt, pepper and paper towels. That will not happen again. We had the house fumigated to treat the timber beams and furniture, and all consumable items were removed, and due to a communication breakdown with the property manager, were not replaced. The villa has now been restocked with items such as dishcloths, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, toilet rolls, hand soaps etc. We also supply coffee, tea, olive oil. Very beautiful house in the country side in an agricultural environment. Great kitchen to make food and cooking. Beautiful swimming pool, lovely garden among olive trees. This summer was very hot, and the house is not insulated and does not have air conditionning (only fans...). We did not find a way to cool down the temperature in the rooms on the second floor, below the roof. Quality of sleep during the night was poor, but resting below the garden trees during the day was great. The région and nature around the house are amazing. Last but not least, insects everywhere: it means that the fields around are not polluted with chemicals, which is a very good thing!

Hello Antoine, Thank you for your comments. We appreciate all feedback, both positive and negative. As you observe, the weather in the week you stayed at our property was extreme throughout Italy and other parts of southern Europe and that is unfortunate. For your information, the villa is insulated. In fact, we installed brand new insulation above the upstairs ceilings only this spring. We have had only two mentions of the heat in the 9 years we have been renting out the property, which is perhaps an indication of the weather extremity. I should also add that taking simple precautions such as closing windows and shutters upstairs during the heat of the day makes a big difference. Did you do that? The property is 600 metres (2,000 ft) above sea level, which itself takes away some of the extreme heat, and there is ample shade around the property too. You also mention insects. Thankfully, we installed flywires throughout the property 2 years ago, so I hope you had no issues in that regard. Regards Chris PS. there will be a small charge for the replacement of a broken lampshade.

So peaceful !

My friends and I wanted a quiet relaxing vacation and this property was perfect. We had all been to Italy several times and preferred to just soak in the beauty of Tuscany. The house felt like home from the moment we arrived. Giovanni showed us around and was even so kind as to take us to the Coop in town to load up w groceries for the week. Every detail of the house met and exceeded our expectations. We were able to take long walks, lay by the pool, read, play cards, cook and eat outdoors - it was just what we wanted. We did not rent a car and did spend a bit on having a driver (Marco) take us to Arezzo so we could catch the train into Florence for a day. One other day we caught the bus at the bottom of the hill and had lunch in Sansepulcro. unfortunately the Osteria at the bottom of the hill was closed that week. The property is actually in Aboca which is only 5km from Sansepulcro.. we could have walked but wanted a new adventure.. There were only three of us so we had more than enough room as the place could accommodate 10 ! If you are there to visit nearby towns then you definitely would want to rent a car. Two of us had spent the previous week touring Rome, Assisi, Padua and Loreto prior to meeting up with our other friend. It was so much fun that when I returned back home and told my stories my neighbor is going to suggest this to a group of her friends. We did leave a day early to stay n Rome the night before our international departure which was wise. So thank you Chris for making this such an enjoyable holiday. You can’t go wrong booking this place !!!

La maison est très belle avec tout l'équipement nécessaire . Piscine très grande et superbe dans un jardin magnifique et très bien entretenu. Un bémol pour nous qui sommes venus en famille (nous étions 8 adultes ,1 enfant et 2 bébés) le bruit provoqué par les aboiements répétitifs de chien dans la propriété avoisinante ,dans la journée et également très tôt le matin. Sans ce bémol notre séjour aurait pu être paradisiaque....

Hi Brigitte, thank you for your review and feedback. I am so sorry about the dogs. It is not a permanent problem as you can tell from other reviews, however, from time to time, when wild boar (cinghiale) are in the area the dogs do get the scent and want to be out there chasing them. Like all noises they can be exacerbated by wind direction so perhaps that was also a factor but we will speak to the owner to ensure he keeps them inside their kennels which they generally are. Superbe maison

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour en famille (6 adultes et 3 enfants) dans cette très belle propriété. La maison est très propre, les chambre sont spacieuses, une pièce d'eau dans chacune d'entres elles. Cuisine très bien équipée. Terrasses et jardin superbes aussi. Piscine très grande et abord de la piscine impeccable avec grands parasols. Propriétaires très sympathiques et disponibles. Le seul bémol de notre séjour concernera la piscine, annoncée comme étant chauffée (et un de nos critères important pour les enfants), mais qui est chauffée par panneaux solaires (et donc uniquement lorsqu'il y a du soleil)... Nous retrouvions donc la piscine aux alentours des 24° tous les matins... Et elle montait vers 28° progressivement... Trop froid pour que les enfants puissent y rester bien longtemps pour y jouer. Dernier problème, l'eau verdissait très fortement les maillots et même parfois notre peau. La situation s'est un peu améliorée après le passage d'un technicien mais sans pour autant se régler complètement. Dommage pour cela (c'est ce qui coûte la 5ème étoile). Mais pour tous le reste, c'est 10/10.

Dear Pierre, Thank you for your review. I am so sorry about the pool. The solar panels have now been fully replaced and the pool stays warm throughout the summer. The green water was a temporary problem, as happens from time to time, due to the filter failing. We now have a pool maintenance contractor visiting every week of the summer season so the pool will be kept sparkling and clean and chemically balanced. Chris

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette très belle propriété, parfaitement conforme à l’annonce.La maison est spacieuse, très propre et pleine de charme, avec une architecture typique qui contribue vraiment au dépaysement. La vue est superbe, encore plus belle en réalité que sur les photos.Très belle surprise également concernant la piscine, qui nous a semblé beaucoup plus grande que ce que laissent imaginer les photos. Les extérieurs sont très agréables et permettent de profiter pleinement du cadre et du calme.Nous avons également été très bien accueillis par Simon, qui s’est montré disponible, attentionné et à notre écoute tout au long du séjour. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié sa gentillesse et sa réactivité.Une très belle propriété pour passer un séjour reposant en famille ou entre amis. Nous recommandons cette location sans hésitation.
