Expectations far exceeded on all accounts. Renato is a reliable communicator and enjoys sharing his knowledge and help with his guests. The apartment was clean and easy to stay in. It’s clear the property is well loved. The kitchen was very helpful as we didn’t want to eat out every night. The apartment is perfect for a small family for any amount of time.

Our host was great. He provide information about Lake Como prior to our arrival and spent time explaining about the lodging and sites we might want to see. He checked on us often to see if we had everything we needed. He was there to say goodbye when we left. I was there with my two granddaughter and they were extremely impressed by the rooms and all it had to offer. They hope to be able to come back and indicated they definitely would stay at this lodging. We cannot say enough about our experience there and the beautiful lodging that we stayed in. Every place that we wanted to visit in Bellagio we were able to walk to.

Perfect Stay

This place was our favorite place out of the 8 places we stayed on our trip. We stayed here a week and the location is great. The apartment is close to the center of town but far enough that you can escape the craziness of the tourists in Bellagio. The owner is a great host and offers lots of recommendations and answers questions.

Lovely house and location

This was a great little place in walking distance to the town of Bellagio. Quiet, sunny place with a lemon tree outside of the kitchen window and 2 little decks to sip your morning coffee. Kitchen had all the necessary cooking supplies, and the new shower was lovely. The lovely smell of jasmine wafted through the apartment when we opened the doors!

Great apartment away from the crowds

Location is perfect if you’re willing and able to walk the hill. Great view of the town and mountains. Apartment has all the accommodations for a long stay (kitchen, washer). Quiet neighborhood away from the old town/tourist places. Bellagio in general might be a bit limiting if you’re staying for long and don’t have a car, but the access to many ferries keeps variety possible.

Wonderfully proportioned apartment with all the amenities you would need. Lovely terrace and backyard. You need good legs but it’s within walking distance of a public beach with a floating dock my daughter loved, and there is a stone path with steps that lead directly into town nearby. But most of all Renato is an excellent and gracious host who even took the time to find us an inflatable raft for use on the lake. He was very responsive and provided many recommendations for things to do (like local markets) and places to eat. We felt like we were experiencing real life in Italy. I would highly recommend his home for your next vacation.

On the hill with Beautiful Mountain Views

Renato was a wonderful host! He picked us up at the ferry dock with his car and drove us around showing us where the good restaurants and grocery store were located.. He also checked in with us to be sure we were happy and ok. Lovely balcony to enjoy late afternoon wine . The pizza restaurant down the hill is a great place for dining- Great Lake view and wonderful pizza!

Beautiful Bellagio

My girlfriend and I spent 5 days at Renato’s property and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Renato himself is a very accommodating and generous host, who offered us transport to and from the property. The location is no more than a 15 minute walk from the town centre and it is in an ideal location for the San Giovanni lakeside when a swim is needed. Faultless.

Wonderful Host and Beautiful View

Renato was fantastic. He made us feel like family and answered questions, no matter how simple. The apartment had everything needed, including reliable, high speed, internet. The location is central with one caveat; the walking is hilly and difficult for the elderly (taxis are few or non existant). I would not hesitate to book again and revisit.

A lovely appartment.

We loved staying here. The Apartment was lovely. We would love to come back. Renato, you realy know how to make people, feel welcome! All the sweets for the kids, drinks, wine and fruit in the refrigerator what a wonderful thing to do. The appartment has a wonderful view to the Mountains and is close to the city. Once more Renato thank you very much, you made a good holyday even better. We will be back.

Live like a local in quiet Aureggio

This place is a quiet gem. The apartment is high above the tourist center of Bellagio in the neighborhood of Aureggio, but a nice walk on an ancient cobblestone path down to the center, and an easy walk to the grocery store in the other direction. Renato is a welcoming host, transporting us from and to the ferry as we needed, and also taking me shopping for food the night we arrived. He and his neighbors have thought of everything and made us feel very comfortable. It is so much better than staying in a hotel - the apartment has shutters to keep it cool during the hottest hours, very good fans, and curtains to keep out the mosquitos. The kitchen is well stocked. Without a car, we got in shape fast walking back from a meal out, but the walk was one of my favorite parts. I would love to come back someday!

Peaceful Flat in Tourist Crazed Bellagio

The property was as per advertised both in description and photos. The flat looks more like a home than a rental investment, which is greatly appreciated. The flat is close to everything in Bellagio, the downtown, the ferry and a market. We had a car but left it parked since finding parking in Bellagio is its own sport. The flat is on a hill. The result was a lot of walking (happy about that) but do be aware there are a lot of hills in the area. One night just got a pizza take away with wine from just down the hill from the flat and really enjoyed a dinner away from crowds. Highly recommend the flat and Renato as a host. He was always available and very helpful and informative. One recommendation would be a couple of fans in the flat. The temperatures were fine, but there was a fair amount of humidity while we were there at the beginning of October.

Digne d'un hôtel 3 étoiles et situé au coeur du Lac de Côme, cet appartement est le lieu idéal pour découvrir le lac. On s'est senti chez nous dès notre arrivée grâce au propriétaire vraiment très attentionné. La seule chose qui a pu nous manquer, c'est la vue sur le lac en se réveillant, mais on y descend en 15 mn à pied !!!

Clean, welcoming, fully equipped, excellent value

Renato Gilardoni was a gracious and helpful host in spite of our speaking only English and French. He provided clear instructions for our arrival and even alternate routes from Switzerland, albeit we were late due to holiday weekend traffic and missed our turnoff. The apartment was clean and fresh when we arrived with a lovely fruit basket and all the basics provided in the refrigerator - including excellent coffee. The location is a bit outside of the town of Bellagio, (10 minutes) and all of its shops and cobblestone walkways, but with easy access to the main coastal road . There is a little restaurant within walking distance if you arrive late as we did. The food was sadly mediocre although the staff was friendly and spoke both English and French. We found lots of tourist information available in the apartment and enjoyed our morning coffee on the little terrace overlooking the garden which was complete with barbeque and parasol. The apartment is perfect for a family with all conveniences from a washing machine to a microwave and a big screen TV along with a computer and wifi. I only wish that we could have stayed longer! Thank you Renato and Guiliana!

Very nice / trés bien

Merci et grazie à Renato qui à vraiment fait que notre séjour se superbien passé. L´appertement est assez grand, avec une belle petit terrasse devant le séjour, avec des chaises et de la place pour prendre un café le matin. L´appartement est trés functionelle, il manque absolument rien, même s´il est un peu au "bon vieux temps" mais charmant. Le lac est une merveille. Une semaine, il faut. minimum :) Grazie Renato.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour à Bellagio. Le logement aurait besoin d'un petit coup de neuf (décoration). En revanche, il est très bien équipé. Renato, le propriétaire est très sympathique.

Séjour chez renato

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine a Bellagio chez Renato qui nous a accueilli de façon vraiment très agréable! Lors de notre arrivée le frigidaire était rempli de boissons, le panier de fruits plein de raisins bananes et oranges pour le matin, les cafetière a l'italienne prête a l'emploi et le séjour garni d'un magnifique bouquet! Merci mille fois Renato pour votre accueil et la tenue irréprochable de votre appartement! L'emplacement t de premier choix (15 minutes a pied du ce tte ville de bellagio) et le petit jardin étaient également des atouts incontestables. Les 2 jours de pluie ont vite été oubliés et nous sommes rentres enchantés de cette découverte en famille du lac de Côme! À bientôt Renato! Pol, Marguerite et Diego el Bambino!

Nous avons été enchanté de l'accueil de Giuliana (en français en plus !) et l'appartement de Renato est encore plus beau en vrai que sur les photos. Merci à Rénato pour toutes ses attentions à notre égard (petit cadeau de bienvenue, fleurs, bonbons, fruits, boissons etc....). Chez Rénato, on s'y sent comme chez soi. Appartement très bien situé et bien exposé.
