This is a superb, fully air-conditioned, spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in the St James complex in Praia da Luz. The huge balcony can be accessed from both bedrooms & lounge via patio doors, allowing all guests to enjoy the delights of Algarve outdoor living. The St James complex provides a children's play area and both adults' & children's pools all set in landscaped gardens. Alternatively, if you are feeling a little more energetic, you could stroll down to the blue-flag beach or visit the many varied shops and wonderful restaurants and bars that the charming village of Luz has to offer. For golfers, there are 4 golf courses between a 5 and 20 minute drive of the apartment and the beaches of the western Algarve are famous for both surfing and fishing.

Praia da Luz Beach: A short 10min walk from the apartment brings you to the gently shelving Luz beach, with soft golden sands. The remnants of volcanic activity from long ago can been seen at the far end of the beach, know locally as the Rocha Negra or 'Black Rock'.
Rock pools and a beach-front restaurant, complete with children’s play area make the beach a great place for all the family!

Activities / Things to do: From Luz, there are day trip coaches to the water parks (Aqualand is one) and the Dolphin park (Zoomarine), and many other attractions in the Algarve.
Surfing, sailing, fishing and scuba-diving trips can be booked for departure from Luz or nearby Lagos.

Travel Arrangements: The apartment is c.80km/50miles from Faro airport and travel time should take about 50min-1hour. Full directions can be found on our website. You don't need a car to get to or travel around Luz as bus and taxi services operate to and from Luz and Faro airport. Car hire is available in the town for those who wish to explore the Algarve.

A beautiful, spacious apartment with everything you could need - really enjoyed the pool and massive balcony and only a short walk from lots of restaurants and the beach. Would definitely recommend.

An amazing stay

We had an amazing stay and absolutely loved the apartment, which provided everything that we could have possibly needed. The balcony was fantastic, and we spent many days soaking up the sun there! The children loved the two pools. Thank you for such a great stay - we will definitely be back!

A perfect apartment in Luz!

We are a family of 5 and the apartment was absolutely prefect for us. It is completely supplied with everything you need for a holiday and the morning coffee on the deck was a my favourite part :) It is a very short walk to the beach and dinner options and the pool was a huge hit for our kids. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Great find

Really lovely apartment, spacious well cared for, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owner was friendly and very responsive. Have stayed in others at St James but this was definitely the best one by far.

Best Apt in Luz

Without doubt the best apartment in St James and the perfect place to stay in Luz. We loved it, the balcony is fantastic, like having your own big garden, and the facilities are second to none. We'll be back.

Home from home

Great apartment to stay in. Everything you need is there. Extremely spacious, clean and well positioned. Short walk to the beach and supermarkets. It is one of the best apartments I have stayed in and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic Apartment in Luz

Another excellent holiday in a superb apartment. Everything that you need for a holiday and close to great restaurants and beaches. Really clean and the block has just been painted and so looks great. This is our 5th year visiting Luz and second time at this apartment - we just love the balcony space and wouldn't hesitate in booking again.

Fantastic appartment in Luz!

We spent a wonderful week during our Easter holidays in this lovely appartment at Praia da Luz, Algarve. We had plenty of space and confort with all ammenities, close to beach/cliffs and the daily needs. Fully recommend the place for those looking for a nice place to stay while visiting the South of Portugal. It's got plenty of space for 4 people and is well equiped.

Great Apartment in a Great Location

Really well appointed apartment with a fantastic balcony. Apartment was very clean and comfortable. One small issue was quickly resolved by the owner and agent and that made for an enjoyable stay. The pool area is great, as is Luz itself. Would highly recommend to all my family and friends.

Apartment very clean and linen smelt fresh, comfortable beds, every thing we needed in the kitchen,area near all the amenities,if I have one little gripe towels were very hard, but that is the only criticism, overall a lovely apartment and I would like to go back.

Fantastic

Just like last year a great time was had by all. Made full use of balcony, other apartments could only look on in envy. Have now spent a total of 12 weeks in this apartment and it probably won't be our last.

Rest and relaxation

Property was ideal for our needs and it was exactly as described. Management team were incredibly helpful and very quick to resolve any issues. Dishwasher and washing machine tablets were left available - very useful. Private terrace was fantastic. Well equipped kitchen. Short walk into Luz or the supermarket. Would stay again, and will recommend to friends.

This is our 5th stay in Praia da Luz. The apartment was fantastic, the balcony is huge and gets the sun all day, the pool is really good. The apartment has everything you need and more. Nothing was a problem from the management team , The owner was very quick to answer questions and accommodate any changes we needed to make. We will definitely return to our happy place . Thanks for a great holiday

Fantastic apartment in great location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at the St James Apartments in Praia da Luz. The apartment was really comfortable and had everything we needed and more! Praia da Luz is a lovely little town and there is so much to do. The apartment is only 5 mins walk from the beautiful beach where you can relax or do something a bit different such as jet skiing or going on a boat trip to watch the dolphins in their natural environment. There are lots of lovely restaurants in the town but there's also a couple of well stocked supermarkets in town should you decide to stay in and cook for yourself. A lovely apartment and a great location. What more could you ask for??

Superb!

We stayed in St James the first two weeks in July 2018. We had a wonderful holiday. Apartment is clean, spacious and has all you need - esp WiFi for teenagers!! Complex is very quiet and we often had the pool to ourselves! Luz itself is lovely and has plenty of nice restaurants within 5/10 mins walk to choose from. We ate out each evening and every restaurant we tried was excellent. Luz is very quiet but there is a regular bus service to & from Lagos which costs €1.60 or 80 cent if you buy the bus card (Can buy this in municipal building across the road from Paulo’s restaurant). A lovely apartment in a lovely resort - if you want a quiet & relaxing holiday this is the one for you!

Great apartment with huge terrace in lovely village

We spent three weeks in the apartment and everything we needed was provided. There was ample parking just outside the apartment. Lisete was a good cleaner and came in each week to change the bedding and towels and do a basic clean for us. Unfortunately the pool was out of action at the time of our visit, but we are sure that when all the retiling is done it will be an excellent addition for any holidaymaker. We ate out a few times, at the Chinese on Rua April 25 , just below Paulo's which we went to four or five times and found the food delicious, and the staff extremely friendly. We also had fish and chips one night at Kelly's Irish Bar and enjoyed that. All in all, a lovely place to spend a holiday. If you want to go to the beach, Luz beach is long, wide and sandy.

Séjour de courte durée avec regret

Malgré un bref passage dans la région, nous avons passé 2 jours très agréable. L’appartement une merveille, vraiment très propre, décoré avec goût. Nous avons était touché par les petites attentions laissées dans le frigo à notre arrivé ( bouteille de vin, briquettes de lait, eau) et plus encore. La collection de DVD a fait le bonheur de nos enfants. Tout était parfait, rien a redire! Encore merci à notre Hôte David!
