After staying here during our honeymoon in 2015, my wife and I came back with our children for a seven night stay celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in August. We booked the entire villa with four bedrooms. The check in was at the hotel Villa la Borghetta and then, from there, a staff member drove us to the Villa and showed us everything.The view was as stunning as we remembered and a bottle of Prosecco while sitting gazing out over the Tuscan countryside helped get our stay off to a good start. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Three of them are on the first floor, while the fourth bedroom is on the second floor.
At ground level there is a large living room, a dining room with fireplace, a large kitchen, one bathrooms and a laundry room.
We hired a chef for breakfast and breakfast was served buffet style with a choice of sitting inside our outside and there was a good choice of food. We went out for dinner in a restaurant in Greve in Chianti on two of our seven evenings and both the food and service were excellent. Staff generally were extremely friendly and helpful and were happy to let me converse in Italian - even when, for them, it might have been easier to do so in English! We thoroughly enjoyed our return and would recommend it as a great base for exploring the Chianti region or simply relaxing in beautiful surroundings.
