Very nice little house by the sea. We stayed with the family and really liked it. There were speedboats going by with people being dragged behind, the kids loved to watch them

Weekend to discover the Cotswolds

We had a lovely weekend discovering the Cotswolds and staying in the house by the lake. The house is perfect for a cosy stay, we were 4 adults and 3 young children and the space was great.

Beautiful lodge in amazing location.

We were a family ranging from age 12- 87 and a little dog and all had a fantastic break in this lodge. Would highly recommend it to all. The lodge is beautifully furnished and the location was fantastic - right on the edge of the lake. Wendy, the owner was extremely helpful and easy to contact throughout our stay.

Awesome time spent in the lodge during Christmas and New year

Beautiful lodge with homely touches. We stayed there for Christmas and New Year and my family and I had an awesome time. We had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped and the lounge comfy. The house is in a perfect location to visit the Cotswolds. Brilliant bank holiday longvweekend

Setting of the property is beautiful by the lake. Felt very private. Loads to do in area. Children liked watching the wakeboarding antics. Wendy very helpful. Lovely info available at property.

Beautiful fully equipped dog friendly lodge

We had a two night stay at this beautiful lodge in February. It was far too short. The lodge itself is fully equipped and faces the water. The view from the living room and master bedroom is breathtaking. We took our dog with us and it was just perfect for him too. The owner could not be more accommodating.

Great Location and super functional house

We spent 2 weeks in August, which gave us enough time to get to know the amazing places the Cotswolds has to offer and enjoy a lovely house by the lake. The house is super functional and clean, with a nice terrace over the lake with enough space to have a nice BBQ outside. Wendy's massive collection of DVDs made our family nights magic watching movies the "old school" way.

N.Z. and London family met for a wonderful weekend together.

A very well equipped lodge. It would have been nice to have a fan, (my grandson wouldn't agree to be my Punka Wallah!) but then a heatwave doesn't happen every summer in England! Couldn't find any salad servers, but that's a very small niggle, and generally the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. It was delightful to watch the activity on the lake. When the water skiers, wake boarders and "Big Biscuit" riders had finished there was the swan family to watch gliding past. There were many activities in the area, and we would definitely stay again, given the opportunity. Good for a wide range of ages, no-one should be bored staying in this lovely area. Barclay Family.

Stunning location house was perfect in every way! Could not ask for more!

We were a family of 6 from Wales celebrating our daughters 30 Birthday and it was amazing!The house and location was perfect for our family celebration the pictures do not do it justice! The home was very spacious, well maintained throughout with good quality furnishings etc. The master bedroom had an amazing view from the bed! The room itself was spacious well furnished and the bed was very comfy. All rooms were comfortable with plenty of space for 6 adults.The location was perfect a few minutes from the restaurant which served good food with great hospitality. The cherry on the cake was the outside decking area! Perfect to enjoy the lakeside view and watch the birds. We were only a short drive to the Cotswolds villages so the location was perfect. This place is a gem we all loved it and will definitely be back soon! Thank you for sharing your home with us Wendy we loved it and you were the perfect host to deal with. A 5 star service in all. The house is a 2 room 1 bathroom converted into 3 bedroom , and downstairs cloak room & small shower

Really suited for 2 adult couples , as there is no room to put any suitcases ( 2nd room split into 3rd bedroom) similarly the downstairs cloak room has a small shower cubical added . The sitting room is large enough and kitchen adequate .

Hello Kirtida Sorry to hear that you found the lodge wasn't as big as you hoped it would be. We do make it very clear in our description that the double and twin rooms have limited floor space. This is how the lodges were designed and is not a later alteration. Likewise the lodges around Spring Lake were designed with a shower room down stairs in addition to the family bathroom upstairs. Most of our guests appreciate the extra bedroom and bathroom so I am sorry if you misread this information when booking your stay. Regards Wendy

Great property set in a lovely location good size complex with the added benefit of having the lakeside grill within a two minute walk. Also a nice 20 minute walk to several pubs close by too. Would recommend this property and would definitely consider staying again. Communication with the owner was very easy and also very helpful with all information that was provided.

Lovely property by the lake

We had a lovely stay, the cleanliness and preparation of the property was fabulous. Great for the dog too, as decking was gated, and lots of walks to go on. Kids loved the onsite park and general activities in the lakes!

Ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds

Functional property in a great location, few minutes drive from lots to do, several great pubs all a short taxi ride away - good walks and watersports on your doorstep. Lots of friendly ducks and swans and a lovely outside area to kick back and relax. Clean and fully equiped, as you would expect from a family type rental home. We stayed here as a family of 5 adults and had an action packed week - Clay Shooting at Ian Coley Sporting, Hot Air Balloon over Bath, Water Skiing on this lake, Kayaking on the lake over the road, bird handling at Cotswolds Falconry, lots of animal fun at Adam Hensons Cotswold Farm Park (feeding piglets and lambs!) and some quaint trips to Bilbury, Burton on the Water, Moreton In Mash. Some fantastic pubs about too - check out Masons Arms Meysey Hampton, The WheatCheif in Oaksey and the Bakers Arms in Somerford Keynes... or walk up to South Cerny for 3 decent pubs (a 15 minute flat walk) There is also the watersports centre on site that does all day food and bar. ;We would revisit, but probably not for a few years as we feel after a busy (fun) week we have completed it.... (Oh and we had a fair bit of heavy showers between sunshine but that doesnt stop the country side from being awesome!)

Clean and comfortable in nice location

We had a great holiday enjoying our stay Only niggle was the loose toilet seat and it took us a couple of days to realise the router was not plugged in! Close to Brassiere with good food but poor service and long delays between ordering and the meal arriving Even told it was a sports café. Preferred the Old George in South Cerney.

I am sorry to hear the Brasserie were clearly not coping with the number of customers during the busy holiday season but glad you found the Old George nearby. It a bit further away in the village but it certainly has more character than the newer Brasserie and we have enjoyed the food there too. Thanks for flagging up the problem with the toilet seat. We would have been happy to resolve this issue during your stay had we known but we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Likewise, a quick call would have enabled us to direct you to the router. It is normally left plugged in all the time so we do apologise for any inconvenience. Wonderful time spent at Spring Lake ... the cottage was clean and very well equipped .... enjoyed the early morning jogs along the country lanes ... lots to do near by and plenty of excellent eating places .

Super short break

A comfortable stay in a super spot. Everything you need (including very comfy beds) with beautiful views included! Swans visited while we had coffee on the balcony and then we could watch water-skiers and boats too. Walked along lake-side to nearby village and in the other direction to play-park. Used this lovely house as a base to visit Bourton-on-the-Water, Chedworth Roman Villa and Cheltenham as well as Cadbury World. Thank you for making us so welcome.
