OUR Stay at Portside

We had a wonderful time in Panama City Beach. I would highly recommend this place. The only problem we had is that the code for the pool was not current. Luckily a nice lady let us in. We went to an art show the sand dune lake parks and the beach. It was clean and the pools and hot tubs were relaxing.

Overall summary

It wasn’t clear we had to pay $75 for pet fee but it was worth it. The condo was clean, but the couches were stained a bit. We just covered them with sheets, which they had plenty of. There isn’t an outside water hose which was tough, but everything else was great! Location is perfect! We will definitely stay here again!

Dirty buggy condo

The floors were dirty they was roaches everywhere an stove didn’t work properly so know it wasn’t a very nice condo for the money I paid an not very happy about it!!

Location and living space

We were in Z2 which is the last unit. For me, it was too far from the pool and the beach. It was secluded and quiet if you like that. The living space was a bit out dated. The couch was dirty and the kitchen products are old. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and spacious with lots of storage. We had a problem with the lock when we first arrived and had to leave the door unlocked all day and all night, but they came the next day to fix it. The air does not cool good upstairs, but downstairs was very cool. I gave 3 stars for cleanliness because the floor was dirty (my kids feet showed this). The couch and the bar area wall were not clean. Overall, for the price we paid I was not impressed. We had a good time but this wouldn’t be a place I would stay again not for the price.

Needs updating

I most say the location is great. Kids loved the heated pool. I was given a username and password for the internet which was incorrect. We were only able to watch streaming on downstairs tv. The upstairs tvs did not work. I called and left a message. I also told them a saw a large cockroach downstairs. Someone came the next day and stated the tvs were fixed and sprayed for bugs. We went 2 days with no upstairs televisions. Upon departure I saw another roach(smaller). The balcony is shaky needs repair and the plastic furniture was all dirty. The iron is cracked. The ironing board is rusty. Also the shower door fell off. We were able to put it back up. I would love to stay again but in a different unit

There were no sheets for the pullout sofa. We had to buy some. Also no blankets. It was a bit of a walk to the beach

Nice, BUT

Everything was exactly how it was described online. The only problem we had was, check in time was 4pm we got our key and when we got there it looked like the cleaning lady was finishing up. After she left we went to unlock the door and only had one of the two keys we needed to get in. Went back to the office to get the other key they didn't have it the cleaning lady did. When she got there with the key she asked us if we had already been in the unit earlier. When I told her no we just got there she asked us to hold on while she went in and checked the unit out. They had a miscommunication and she had thought we had already been there so they unit had not been cleaned yet. So we had to sit there until 6:45pm until a lady had finished cleaning the condo. It was sunset by the time we got our stuff in our rooms and ready to walk to the beach. If our place would of been ready like we expected it to be it would of gave us 3 more hours to spend, in the daylight, at the beach with our son. Other than this our stay was wonderful. The folks that work at Panhandle Getaways were all very nice and welcoming. This was also just 2 days after Florida opened rental homes back up and Memorial day weekend so I am assuming they were very busy and just had a miscommunication between employees. During this time of panic and uncertainty though the cleaning of units before renters arrive should be the top priority for all vacation rental businesses.

Love the Property. Our unit could use some deep cleaning and upgrades.

Dirty dishes in the cabinets, sink in the bathroom was stopped up,shower hardware needs to be replaced,several light bulbs needed to be changed,water stains on the wall,carpet was badly stained, cable in the upstairs Master did not work. A work order was submitted on Friday for the cable and we never heard from anyone. For the money spent for our vacation, I would have thought the unit itself would have been nicer...A recommendation would be to finish the unit with the same tile that the bottom floor had

For what this unit cost, the stay was awful. It is not a short walk to the beach like some other reviews say. The ceiling fans didn't work. Carpet smelled of urine. Unit needs to be gutted and renovated. Dishes were dirty in the cabinets and cookware provided was not usable. I believe this will be the last trip to portside Z2.

Wow are we surprised to see this and we are so sorry that you did not feel your experience was a great one. We have had zero complaints such as this all summer long. As a matter of fact, the review prior to yours was a 5/5. Portside is an awesome resort with amazing amenities. It is advertised as "Located just across from the street from the beach with easy beach access, Portside boasts three pools, a hot tub, kiddie pool, three tennis courts, shuffleboard, a clubhouse and so much more." All of that is true. We have many other properties to choose from. It sounds like this just wasn't "the place" for you.

Very pleased!!!!

What you see on the pictures is exactly how it looks. I've seen some pictures and get to the properties and it was nothing like what they posted. Very pleased with the home. Very quiet and pleasant place. No loud neighbors and pet friendly is always a plus. All the neifhbors are very nice. I will definitely keep coming back to this place.

my family and I enjoyed this rental property.. we went from June30 until July 5th.. PCB is very nice we stayed at Port side z2 ..3 pools (really nice) not overly crowded.. Beach right across the street..A lot to do no need to have a car!!!
