Great Stay

We loved Donovan’s Dacha! Great location and truly a “home away from home.” Everything was as described and we enjoyed every minute. We hope to return in the future!

We found underwear in the dresser drawers. The bathrooms need some work. The code didn’t work and we had to call to have someone come to the house to let us in. Fortunately, a staff member arrived soon after we called.

Relaxing stay!!

Overall very nice property, needs a little fixing here and there, some slats/blinds don't work, upstairs sink did not drain properly, placemats and one of the comforters did not appear clean. The house is very nice overall and location was very good!

Great Anniversary Getaway

My wife and I needed an anniversary getaway from work and the kids and this place did just that. The location to the lake, restaurants, shopping, state parks, and activities was excellent. The home was very clean and everything inside and outside the home was very well maintained. The fire pit, hot tub, and the gas fireplace made the trip so relaxing. We really enjoyed this trip and would definitely revisit, even with the kids. Great property.

Wedding weekend

Rented the property for a weekend wedding. It was close to everything and the hot tub was a hit. We loved all the games and the large kitchen table. Enjoyed a cozy weekend with the family.

Donovan's Dacha-cha-cha

My family and I were happy dancing when we left Donovan's Dacha. It exceeded expectation for what was needed to really relax and we would 100% return to this exact cabin if ownership stays the same, operating exactly as they do. It was clean, easy, efficient and really enjoyable.

Items left behind

The property was as described and a comfortable house. Unfortunately, we left a bag of board games behind and called the mamagement company Taylormade rental and inquired if they had been found. They reported the games were not found. Disappointing. Our error for missing a bag in the living room, but could have easliy returned for the items.

great winter weekend away

We very much enjoyed our stay! Home was a great size and very comfortable for five friends to enjoy a holiday weekend away together. Great location, walking distance from the grocery store, and a short drive just across the main road from Wisp resort. Gas fireplace and hot tub were excellent amenities to enjoy. Loved the kitchen! The area experienced significant snowfall prior to our arrival so we were a bit concerned about access to the home, but we found the team had already plowed and shoveled the property when we arrived. Very thankful access was no problem, despite over eight inches of freshly fallen snow. We really enjoyed our time there, and would definitely stay again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a very nice house, however, the hot tub does not work! When a rental house lists that it has a hot tub, I expected it to also work - big disappointment. Also, the air flow is not good. Very hot upstairs and freezing in the master bedroom on the first floor.

WOODSY, YET CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked the lovely Donovan's Dacha for our annual book club Autumn trip the weekend of Oct. 20-22, 2017. Everything about this accommodation was perfect. Architecture is beautiful; layout roomy and flowing; kitchen is well equipped; bedrooms spacious and comfortable; plenty of nice bathrooms; front porch and back deck were delightful; and hot tub pristine and relaxing. We had a fire in the outdoor fire pit one evening, and it was so very nice. The location is extremely convenient with a grocery store and large gift store literally within a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute easy walk. We definately would book this great "much more than a cottage" again!! One of the trip's highlights was seeing a black bear walking right down the quiet street! Stunning! We recommend dinner at Dutch's @Silvertree-fabulous...really the best crab cakes around! Look into private yoga with Tina and private massages with Allison through Evergreen Mobile Massage and Amity Holistic Center. Our book club of 8 women LOVED Donovan's Dacha and Deep Creek!

Great weekend getaway!

This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway! College roommates wanting to get away for a few days and this place did not disappoint! Numerous things in walking distance or a short drive. Yard was the perfect size for some yard games and the hot tub was a great way to end the day. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals at home and the house was big enough for plenty of room to relax and play games (at least a dozen games provided by the owners). Highly recommend!

great choice

this was a great house in a really nice neighborhood. it was close to everything and it had cellular service. we found that many areas around the lake did not. There were plenty of towels and blankets for the 6 of us. Beds and rooms were nice. The kitchen was stocked with many necessary utensils. Everything worked well except the kitchen faucet. i called maintenance so im sure it will get fixed. The hot tub out front was a hit. We used all amenities except the fire pit. i would definitely recommend this place and stay there again myself.

Beautiful Home

Maintenance was responsive, but amenities were not working properly or unavailable (hottub and fireplace) and the water heater could not support showers for a family of 5. The home was beautiful and our family still enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Family Fun at Donovan's Dacha

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My parents, sister, and my husband, son, and I stayed for a week at Donovan's Dacha. We really had a great trip. The house is beautiful, on a quiet street, has a great yard for the kids to run in, and was well equipped for all our needs and then some! The house was clean and well maintained, though we did have a little trouble with the grill. We also loved having the park pass included with the house, this was a nice perk, that allowed us to go to the park for a few hours and not worry. We loved staying here and can't wait to stay again next year!
