Clean and pretty well stocked kitchen. Since my wife and I are both 6’ plus, the queen bed proved a bit too small for us so the couch was used by one of us. The carpet should be replaced in the bedroom. Not sure why there isn’t vinyl plank/laminate flooring in there like the rest of the house; especially with pets allowed. It had several stains just needs to go. There was a nice basket of bowls, towels and a blanket for the dog- nice touch. The Adirondack chairs on back porch were very comfortable. There were a couple other chairs that are completely rusted and should be disposed of. The tv had several remotes that allowed guests to watch streaming video or tv, very nice. It was a short walk down the hill and across the highway to the beach.

We use VRBOs all over the place and this is one of the coolest getaway destinations I could imagine.This was the second time we stayed here and we will definitely be back.

The house was just perfect for a party of one. It was clean, no problem in getting in and the awesome wood stove. Sitting and listening to the rain and be warned by the fire. I’ll definitely be renting this place again.

A honest review.This cabin is in an excellent location in Yachats. It is well equipped with everything you need and has a nice set up for tv watching at night. Communication was very good. Being an older cabin, we found that it needs some TLC, however. The bedroom carpet smelled of pets and could use a deep cleaning or replacement. The denim comforter cover should be replaced with something more conducive to sleeping and some of the throw pillows on the couch need to be thrown away as they are pretty filthy. A soft recommendation.

Sweet Coastal Cabin

Truly a wonderful stay. The cabin was so cozy and warm and had everything we needed and it was a quick walk to the beach and into town! Would definitely come back.

Really enjoyed the place, was a good setup for a cozy weekend at the beach. They really went above and beyond to provide a little doggie box with a bowl, towels & blankets Kitchen was fine to cook in, super appreciated all the spices available to cook a little meal. Only real complaint is the lighting setup is a little strange and the sink for the kitchen is extremely small. Also would be nice if they had any bit of hand soap in their little soap packaging provided.

The perfect getaway cabin

We recently stayed at Gwen’s cabin. It has everything for a relaxing Oregon coast vacation. It is nestled in the coastal old growth forest and located only minutes from the beach and town center.

Perfect Privacy

We really enjoy staying here because it is quiet and beautiful. You feel like you’re in a little cottage in the woods, but you minutes from dining and the beach. This was our second stay and we will come back again!

Yachats and this property are perfect for a short getaway, to unwind and relax. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen had what I needed to make small meals. Weekend perfect!

A treasure

A welcome respite from our daily lives nestled in surrounding towering trees, and just a skip, hop , and jump to the estuary. Beautifully appointed and mindfully stocked to ensure our stay was a seamless experience.

Relaxing getaway weekend

The little cottage was a fantastic escape for our small family. The location was great, easy walk to town but quiet enough and off the road enough to let the 2 year old and dog play in the yard without worrying. The cottage has lots of well thought out details and the kitchen is very well stocked. We would love to visit the cottage again.
