We loved the very easy access to pool/hot tub, walk to the beach and tons of big grass areas for kids to run around in. Felt very relaxed and comfortable with our family there the whole time, family friendly for sure. Easy (drivable) food options, and a couple walking distance places for a pinch. The only drawback was not having air conditioning in the living room/kitchen, those areas were unbearable several days of our stay. The portable ac units in the bedrooms cooled the whole back of the unit nicely.

Excellent location close to beaches and restaurants. An added bonus was access to the Poipu Athletic Club, which is included in the cost for the unit.

Great stay at Kahala at Poipu Kai

The location was perfect and the condo was well appointed with beach towels and chairs as well as cooking supplies. The only complaint was that it got quite warm in the condo during the day and the living room fan couldn’t quite keep up.

Location can’t be beat!

Steps away from Poipu and Brennecke beaches, with views out to the water from the lanai. We loved walking around the neighborhood and checking out the sunsets. The unit was spacious and comfortable- it was very relaxing!

Relaxing and convenient

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was clean, roomy and comfortable. The spacious grounds were well maintained. We took advantage of the pools, hot tubs and BBQ grills. It was a short walk to Poipu Beach for snorkeling, swimming and to see sea turtles. Poipu-Koloa is a good location to explore. It was about an hour to travel either to Waimea Canyon or Hanalei Bay.

Beautiful relaxing vacation

Overall we had a wonderful stay the property is in a great quiet location and it was very clean with plenty of towels and extra linen. The bed was a bit uncomfortable I think it was the same foam mattress we returned to Costco. There are no food staples such as condiments and basic spices as we had in other rentals so we ate out a lot which was okay as we wanted to try the local culture. Parking was close to the front door which was nice.

Nice unit, great property

This is our second time staying at a Kahala unit at Poipu Kai and we love it. This particular unit is ideally located next to the walking path and pool, but we couldn't hear any noise from either. My family loves that Kahala is such an easy walk over to Poipu Beach and Poipu Shopping Village. The two bedrooms and bathrooms were both clean and spacious and the AC worked really well in the bedrooms. Being on the ground floor meant that even the common spaces without AC were quite cool with the lanai doors open. We loved starting each day with breakfast on the lanai with that gorgeous the ocean view. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo is beautiful and in a great location. Only complaint was the old beach chairs. The have definitely seen better days. Need to replace with new not so clunky ones. And the condo could you some more towel hooks. But overall it was great

Perfect for our family

This property was perfect for our family. We showed up very late at night. The after hours check in was a breeze. Couldn't have been easier. It's walking distance from one of the top snorkelling beaches in all of Hawaii. Not just Kauai. We made daily trips there. The access to the fitness center was a huge plus as well. We made almost daily trips there too. The pool at the fitness center is perfect for the kids. The condo had everything we needed. I did have to stock up on my preferred spices but the kitchen is stocked well with cookware. They even had one quality butcher knife (I usually bring my own because the ones provided are usually cheap sets). The appliances were all in great working order. Except the box fans. Those could stand to be replaced. The in room AC units kept the individual rooms cool though. They were a nice escape from the heat at times. The master bedroom has a TV (we never turned it on), and a huge shower. The living room TV is a smart TV complete with a sound bar for unwinding after a long day of playing outside. The gas grill is right outside the patio and a short walk away. It is very clean and well kept. I never had any issues on the many nights that I grilled for the family. Having a first floor unit made life much easier to come and go. Highly recommend. The parking spot that is reserved for this unit is kind of awkward, but we would park in a visitor parking spot if the lot got dicey to navigate with the Tahoe. We asked for a late checkout, and was easily accommodated by the management. This place is a definite gem. Would definitely recommend checking it out.

Mixed feelings

The unit was as pictured but the problems started. Problem with I internet, microwave issues, clogged drains & toilet backupđŸ˜± luckily the staff was great and moved us into another unit.

Perfect location and attentive service!

My family absolutely loved the condo and the location. The views from the patio were perfect and the accommodations were comfortable, clean, and fit my family of 5 well. We felt we were at a good central locale to explore any area of the island. The staff was friendly and prompt with handling any requests. Would love to stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Walk to the Beach!

Nice size condo for two adults and two teens, walking distance to the beach and stocked with all the beach essentials: towels, umbrella, cooler, chairs, and boogie boards. Loved having access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club too, which was great for a quick morning workout.

The unit was in excellent condition, well equipped and had nice beach gear. Fantastic location with a nice grassy area beyond the lanai and close to tennis courts and beach. Stayed with 2 adults and 2 teens and space was perfect. We would definitely stay again!

December 2017 Stay

We had a good vacation and will recommend this property management companies facilities to other employees. Very professional outfit. The condo owners of Kahala 311 should invest in a new couch and sliding door. Poipu Beach is right across the street, nice view, clean unit, good kitchen with additional amenities.
