I was originally drawn to Montclair because of its long-standing commitment to diversity and its sense of community. When I bought this home in 1997, I wanted to raise my then elementary-school-age son in a place that embraced difference and offered a rich, connected environment.
I also love Montclair's location. It offers easy access to New York City, Newark Airport, the Jersey Shore, and even the mountains, farms and small towns that make New Jersey so varied.
Over the years, it has been exciting to watch Montclair grow into such a vibrant and highly desirable community. The town offers an abundance of restaurants, cafés, cultural events, live entertainment, shopping, and the Montclair Art Museum, along with several lively business districts.
One of the things I appreciate most about my home is how walkable the location is. Guests can reach many restaurants, shops, grocery stores, entertainment options and public transportation on foot, which makes staying here especially convenient.
For me, Montclair offers a rare combination: the energy and amenities of a lively town, the charm of an established residential community, and convenient access to New York City and so much more.
