It’s a perfect size for a nice getaway in the mountain. We loved the cute kitchen. The selection of dvds was one of my favorite things there. Just overall a very nice experience.

This space was exactly what we were looking for on a long weekend getaway. Incredible cute cabin vibe with all of the amenities ( more) that you could ask for. Everything is exactly as described, and the check-in/out details made everything exceptionally easy. The host is incredibly quick to respond and made us feel safe and exceptionally comfortable.

The cabin was very cozy and welcoming. We loved our stay there and wished we could have stayed longer! It was very clean and had everything we needed. Also very quiet. We loved being able to enjoy the fireplace at night while reading or watching a movie on the tv.

This was a lovely little place that makes you feel like your a gnome in a big cabin. The cabinets and ceilings give it an optical illusion. It almost felt like the tiki house in disneyland but with gnomes. I'm tall and always end up bumping my head or slouching through the hallways but I never once had to do that at The Lazy Gnome. Even the attic has amble space to stand up and and walk around. There were alot of little touchs throughout the cabin that really made it feel magical. The beds were very comfortable, bathroom was big with loads of extra towels and blankets, the heat lamp above the shower was perfect for those cold mornings. One of the best things I loved was thier record player with 75, 35 and 45 vinyls and they had some really good collections. The fireplace was wonderful and they had a nice collection of dvds for the dvd player. This is a great place for a small family, couple or a girls/boys getaway. Kitchen had so much cookware and was fun to make new recipes, the Ableskiver was amazing, a must try if you rent here. Our host Tim was very communication and patient and we could tell they really cared and put alot of time in the property. We had a wonderful time and plan on coming back next year!

The cabin was super cute and very nicely decorated. There was enough space for my wife and I and our two dogs. Tim the host was very responsive and helpful. The surrounding area was beautiful and the neighborhood was very quiet with friendly people. Absolutely loved this place and would definitely stay again.

This cabin is exceptionally clean and organized! Host very responsive. Location to town just two minutes away. The only caveat- we didn’t know the driveway was steep and rocky until we received checking in instructions. It is best to back down and then get a running start to head back up. Super tight parking at bottom if you head down. Not the best for two older ladies, but we did it. But really a great cabin. Lots of trees, birds, squirrels, rabbits. Pleasantly peaceful.

Tom & Karen,Thank you so much for an amazing stay at your cottage – it was pure perfection! We absolutely loved everything about it, and our dog did too. We are parents of two grown girls and two loving pups! We have lived in Southern California for 22 years. Our previous home was in Eugene, OR. We have always yearned to have a quiet place in the woods to take us back to the feelings of "getting into nature" that we used to enjoy when living in the Pacific Northwest. This year we were able to realize this dream by purchasing our cute little cabin. We so enjoy spending time here in the quiet and want to share this experience with others.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

The proximity to the charming village of Idyllwild was our main reason for choosing this location. It's only about a mile from the village and has beautiful cedars as well as mountain views. We are also very close to many hiking trails. The sunny deck in front is a great place to relax as well as enjoy the sunset. While our little cabin is on a private unpaved road, access is easy as we are the first house on the road. Since the cabin is set lower than the main street, there is a feeling of privacy here.

The craftsmanship of the interior is unique and whimsical. There is actually a little house within the house where the wall between the kitchen and dining room was crafted as a little house with roof, chimney and other details, with a pass-through that can be closed with little shutters.
