This vacation was a very relaxing and peaceful place while visiting close by historical sites. We spent most of our time on the front porch taking in all sounds and sites of nature. Just sitting outside listening to the numerous birds and watch the deer in the field nearby was a great start and ending to our days. Definitely will be back

Cozy country setting

Could not have been happier with my stay! Very cozy and located in the country with lots of wildlife. Jairo was extremely helpful with recommendations for the area attractions, dining and for our excursion to Washington DC

Great place !!!

Very happy with our recent stay. The hosts were wonderful people. We even stayed up and talked with them like old friends for a couple of hours. Property was very beautiful and quiet. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

It was just weekend stay and really enjoyed the stay.very clean and they have cooking tools and coffee maker and everything very nicely organized.owners are let me check in 30 min early and respond really quickly. I would like to stay there again. Thank you so much :)

Family Weekend

The property is a nice one, and the owner was helpful and very cordial. He even allowed my guests to park their camper on the property. The one-room apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable for two people. A nice weekend indeed!

A great vacation rental for my partner and I taking a trip to Harper’s Ferry. The location is close to town and restaurants in the area. The host is great, made the check-in process easy, and kept a clean and comfortable property. The kitchen and bathroom appliances are perfect and just what you need for a short stay. Our only complaint: ants. There seems to be a little ant infestation in the kitchen, luckily they didn’t bother us or come near our food. Overall, an amazing place to stay!

Almost Heaven....

John Denver sang that W VA was "almost Heaven." well this was almost W VA (actually on MD border) but most definitely was Heaven! the sounds of silence, and of birds were the context for beautiful country, a private hiking trail, butterflies, praying mantis, turtles, etc, and a kind and welcoming host. truly a retreat from city madness.

The house was nice and clean.

The microwave was not level and had a tendency to fall out of the cabinet. We put a rock under the shelf to level the shelf to help to stabilize it. The property is secluded and quiet. The trail around it is a a good walk. We would not hesitate to stay there again,

Great spot convenient to Harpers Ferry

I stayed here for 2 nights and used it as a jumping off point to explore the hiking trails around Harpers Ferry, and it was perfect-- the price was also very reasonable. Jairo had good communication throughout and I had no issues getting into the apartment. It's about ~20 minutes from downtown Harpers Ferry, and maybe 10 minutes from the small parking lots next to the Maryland side hiking trails. Coming out the front door you'll be facing the setting sun, something I enjoyed watching after a long day of hiking. The kitchen was nice, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower was really nice as well. Overall very much enjoyed staying here!

Comfortable studio with hot plate that has the capacity for cooking dinner. Adequate cooking equipment. Crickets and the fabulous smell of meadows. The only thing I would change is having the ability to turn off the outdoor light at night, but this stay was what I had hoped for at an excellent price.

Beautiful Property with Lots of Wildlife

The apartment suite was the perfect little space for a weekend away. The availability of a charcoal grill was awesome and the hiking trails around the property were awesome. Saw plenty of deer and my partner even saw a black bear crossing the property. The only minor complaint is the lack of sound dampening between the bathroom in the suite and the main house - could hear laundry machines going and the other group’s conversations. Easy solution was keeping the bathroom door closed - the rest of the suite seemed rather well sound proofed from the main house.

Rural location but close to Harpers Ferry and other locations. Quiet wooded lot with a few other buildings around the property. Barebones rental, but a decent place to sleep for a couple nights. Host did a great job with communication. AC unit is a little noisy and it's definitely a humid location in summer, just a note for travelers not familiar with the area.

This place has the perfect surrounds for a launchpad to Harpers Ferry and all the surrounding hamlets. Fifteen to thirty minutes to everything you could want to do. Super close to Dargan's Bend for parking to hop on the towpath.

Room was well laid out. Everything was well planned to make the most of the space. We enjoyed the room very much and we were able to make all of our meals by using the kitchenette. The owner helped us with information where to park and ride our bicycles on the C&O canal. Bring your bicycles for a really enjoyable ride! Great history! Ride right to the railroad bridge at Harper's Ferry and walk into town!

Quiet country setting near Harpers Ferry

This is a very clean and comfortable studio, set on a large open area in the hills north of Harpers Ferry. This unit is one of two units in a larger house. It's about a 15 minute scenic drive to HF, a great place to visit for history, scenery, hiking, food & drink.

Lovely getaway

Since there was no one staying in the main house this was very quiet and private. The room is lovely and the property is beautiful. It's great to sit out on the small patio in the evening. . . and the sunsets were gorgeous!
