Ce condo de 2 chambres à coucher au deuxième étage de Casa De Emdeko est une propriété extrêmement spacieuse avec une vue spectaculaire sur l'océan. Tout récemment été remis en location de vacances! Nous sommes fiers d'avoir ce superbe condo dans notre inventaire!

Un grand lit king size dans le maître et un lit queen size dans la 2ème chambre. Profitez d'une propriété TRÈS spacieuse, propre, bien aménagée et prête pour des vacances parfaites! Il a tout ce dont vous avez besoin! Oceanview, AC, ascenseurs, 2 piscines, un espace barbecue et des terrains très bien entretenus.

Casa De Emdeko offre aux propriétaires et aux invités le mélange parfait d'ambiance hawaïenne avec des jardins tropicaux et des chansons de nombreux oiseaux colorés profitant des caractéristiques de l'eau dans le jardin. Profitez de notre piscine de jardin située au milieu d'un cadre tropical. Casa possède également l'une des rares piscines en bord de mer où vous pourrez nager et profiter du chaud soleil d'Hawaï tout en regardant les baleines ou les dauphins jouer, en fonction de la saison de votre visite. Les palmiers sur notre solarium privé et ensoleillé, au bord de l’océan, offrent de magnifiques couchers de soleil avec une sensation particulière de sérénité. Beautiful place to stay. Parking was a little hard. Small parking lot. Several spaces were used for other cars that had covers as if they were being stored there. We had to park outside the gated area because no spaces available at night. We stayed for 9 days. There was hot water issues 7 of the 9 days. However the owners were understanding and credited us a few days back.

The living room furniture is not that comfortable but sufficient. The ocean view is minimal but you do get the breezes. We enjoyed the common areas very much. Awesome grills and it seems everyone from the complex goes there to cook at night and eat even. So you do get to meet ppl. if you want to. The parking can be crowded at times. This unit does have an older A/c evaporation system and without the sun hitting the unit directly is very cool and the a/c does a good a job. Would stay here again.

Perfect

Thank you for such a lovely stay in this property. We got an email on arrival day with codes for the gate and condo. The condo was fresh and clean when we arrived, and had cleaning essentials under the sink which was handy. The two bedrooms were perfect for us as a family, my initial concern was that the second bedroom was right next to the front door but once we realised we could lock the gate and the door, I felt much safer. Having two bathrooms was also useful too. The lanai was great and felt private with the trees growing around it. I enjoyed the day bed too for reading. The site was really quiet and we were often the only ones in the pools when we went down. The communal areas were great for when you needed to chill and the bbq area looked great for bigger groups. We found the location good with shops, beaches and Kona town all within a short drive. We also drove over to Hilo one day too. You can also head to the beach area to watch the sunset which was lovely. The property is well equipped with everything you'd need, even snorkels and boards for the beach if you wanted. The only thing that would have been useful is a vacuum (especially with small kids and sand from the beach!!) but we managed with the sweeping brush. This property was exactly as described and great value, we were very impressed. Thank you.

The property is beautiful and kept clean. Right in the heart of all the Kona action. The pool overlooking the ocean was our favorite thing. Spacious condo with everything you will need to have a great time

Great location with excellent management in an older property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, situated a 5 min drive from basically everything in downtown Kona (though not walking distance to anything). Property management was outstanding and very responsive. We had a few minor issues upon check in and Blake was very quick to address them. Appreciated the extra beach towels and chairs! Only negative is that the property is quite old and showing its age; lots of little wear and tear but no major issues. Also, the second bedroom isn't totally private; it has a wood and plastic sliding door rather than a proper bedroom door, almost like they turned a very very large closet into a bedroom. Probably not an issue for families, but it was a little awkward with two adult couples. Overall I definitely wouldn't have any problem staying here again!

The condo was clean, and provided all necessary amenities (however, there could have been more shampoo and conditioner). The location is ideal to access great beaches and downtown Kona. I rented a car, which I recommend to anyone going to the big island. Our condo was excellent! But I have to say, I’m writing this review because of the excellent service we received. Our PM, Devon, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience with our stay. We had some construction outside our condo, and she made sure to provide us with alternative options if we wanted to change rooms. We decided to stay, and I’m happy we did. But I do appreciate Devon’s customer service and ensuring we had a good time! She was really awesome!

The complex grounds were beautifully groomed & super clean and the staff were all very courteous, helpful & friendly. The buildings were very well taken care of. Casa De Emdeko is a hidden gem! The location was excellent for exploring Waimea to Volcano, and super close to Kailua town for going out to dinner & Hawaiian music or to wander thru the scattered open markets near by. #211's lanai overlooked the beautiful middle pool and you could see the ocean front pool if you looked west off the Lanai. You could also see and hear the waves lapping on the shore, very soothing. #211 was clean & well decorated. With 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms there was no waiting for shower time. We would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in several rentals in Kona and this was my favorite. The ocean front and pools are great. The grounds are very well maintained. Everything in town is easily accessible, but the complex itself is very tranquil. Loved hearing the ocean. The AC was wonderful but spent a lot of time on the lanai. Beach amenities were available. We had no problems during the stay. There is a little market just next door. Management was very accommodating with a late check out for a fee. The bedding is a little dated, but we were very happy overall for the rental price and hope to return.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We wanted to escape from Hilo and enjoy some fun in the sun, which both pools were great- basically had it all to ourselves. The condo itself was a nightmare and definitely not a home away from home. It should be better than your home, but it was worse and should’ve not been listed. Day 1- master bathroom basins were filthy, a glass louver was missing from the second room- had to put a towel over for privacy. The vertical blinds in the living room did not close all the way- had to throw a sheet over the rod for privacy. No water pressure in kitchen faucet -had to use the hose to wash the dishes. Day 2- had to call maintenance in the morning -unable to shower due to no water pressure in both bathrooms. A handy man came with a pocket wrench to flush out the faucet and shower heads from sand in the pipes. It was like drinking and showering in ocean water, sand residues in the basins and bathtub. Same night- no water pressure again. Day 3 -sent a maintenance form from the hospitality app and called to complain about the water pressure- I had to tie the nozzle of the sink to the faucet to rinse the dishes and hand as I prepared our meals. Apparently someone came in the afternoon while we were at the pool, but before dinner- we all had to shower in the main bathroom because the master bedroom shower was clogged again. It was ridiculous having to switch showers to rinse off in the middle of being soaped up or shampooing your hair. Day 4-filled out another maintenance form in the morning and no reply or call from the manger. They should’ve moved us to another unit, should waive the damage fee and compensate us for 2 nights. I always use VRBO home away from home, but this stay was not a good one. My coworkers asked me to take pictures because they never stayed at Casa de Emdeko, which I sent the a video when I arrived, but when I returned and showed them the pictures of the sheet over the blinds, the faucet, louver missing and outlet broken, they laughed & sai

Aloha Carlyn, We’re truly sorry about the inconveniences you experienanced during your stay. Casa De Emdeko was facing plumbing challenges where sand was getting stuck in the filtration systems, and blocking multiple units water flow. They have worked towards correcting the issue, and we’re sorry this happened to you during your stay. The condo was exceptionally cleaned so I’m surprised to read about the basins..I understand they aren’t new basins so perhaps the comment was in regards to the aesthetic state? The glass louvre has been replaced. The vertical blinds are looking to be replaced by the new owners but we’re waiting on final approval as they just replaced all of the flooring. We are sincerely sorry you had these issues, we want all of our guests to leave happy. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spacious, good location, beautiful sunsets, steps from the ocean. Obviously not brand new carpet or wallpaper, but decent enough condition. Unit suited all our needs and was nice to return to each evening. Be sure to request anything you need by Friday at 5 or you'll probably wait to Monday. We thought there would be beach towels and a couple extra bath towels, but there weren't. They did offer to reimburse us if we wanted to buy some. Mornings on the balcony overlooking pool and with sideways view of ocean were lovely. Air conditioning kept things very cool. Large walk-in shower in master bath. Tub in second bath. Beds were comfy. Nice to have washer/dryer in unit. Parking inside gated area was often full at night, but there was additional parking available right outside the gate. There were a few dead bugs in closets and faint smell of bug spray first day mixed with carpet freshner, but I'd rather that than living bugs. Quick drive down the road to shops and restaurants in Kona. My mom, my daughter, and I really enjoyed our stay overall. If we go back to the Big Island, the only thing I'd do differently is arrange to spend one night on the Hilo side or south east area in order to avoid a 2.5 hour drive each way for Volcano National Park in one day.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Casa De Emdeko for 8 years, in different units throughout the years, but this one was a bit disappointing. The over all property is great, the grounds look great, the BBQ's are brand new and there was security roaming around for a nice safe feel. The unit, #211, was a bit old, with a broken microwave (exterior), a dirty looking fridge (exterior) and the bed in the smaller bedroom was a joke. The bed seemed like a "display" bed, not for sleeping. The springs hurt so much that the bed was not usable and we ended up on the couch. The place did not come with ANY instruction for wifi (unless we missed this in the email instructions?). The above did not hinder our stay too much and we still had a great time and will continue to come back here every year, I just hope they get a new bed!

Disappointing

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location great, complex great. The unit not so much. The lanai furniture was rusty, the table top loose. The tap in the master bath barely dribbled. The fan in the master rattled. The second bedroom had no curtain so there was no way to darken the room at night. Except for 3 wine glasses, all the rest were plastic.
