Property was clean, well stocked, and maintained. Check-in process was simple as was the check-out. Price was also good!

Bunk bed and mattress are not that comfortable. And they could have provided the hand wash rather than hand soap. Rest all is good.

Instructions for how to enter house was inaccurate. Door code was inoperative because it was bolted. Front door and one of the sliding glass doors were unexpectedly unlocked when we first arrived, which felt unsafe. When we first arrived we noticed poop splatter in master bath on cabinet and wall and trash on floor. Very stingy with - or absent of - basic amenities that are typical of short-term rental properties.

We regret the confusion on opening the deadbolt on the front door lock. This is how we access our properties with a code which unlocks the deadbolt. We regret the cleaning miss as well. This is not to our usual industry leading standard and we apologize.

Great place considering Covid issues

Nice house in a good community. Because of Covid restrictions, the shuttle didn't run at all. I would have chosen a different location had I known (but of course, none of us could have known!) I felt the house was nice overall.

OBX Retreat

Enjoyed the multiple decks with adirondack chairs which allowed us to get out of the wind and soak up the sunshine. Lots of windows in the great room where we all hung out. Lovely neighborhood. About .8 miles to the beach. Lots of chairs, beach toys, etc. available for use. New flooring recently installed. Beds were very firm. Hot tub was a good size. Easy checkin and checkout. One small issue reported which the management company took care of. Liked have two master bedroom suites. There are dvds, puzzles and games in the family room. My one suggestion would be that the management company provide a hair dryer.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed being with all of our family. The place was very nice! We loved the big windows. If could make one suggestion it would be to add more kitchen towels. Thanks

Perfect for our multiple families

The place was exactly as described on the website. There were toilet issues upon arrival, but they came and resolved it quickly. We were 3 separate families with several young kids between all of us. We felt we had enough space for each family and gave the kids plenty of room to hang out.

Family Get-A-Way

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We were expecting a TV in each room (especially the kids room/bunk beds) also expected each TV to be much larger.

Slam Dunk Vacation

We were very comfortable in the house, would definitely go back again. the gift bags from the realtor were helpful, especially since I didnt think to bring DW detergent lol. This was my first time doing a vacation rental like this so I was a little nervous something would go wrong. But from the first night we felt at home and almostb hated leaving.

Had a great getaway

Great location Nice house! 5 mins to beachb parking. Very spacious well equipped kitchen. BUT be sure to bring all needed cleaning supplies, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, sponges, dish detergents. Those items are not supplied I would suggest the management check all smoke detector batteries because they chirped also tv remote batteries were low.. Overall our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving in this home and a good value! 😊

This should be covered in the terms and conditions area of the site. Smoke detectors are checked each week before a guest arrival. We apologize the batteries failed during your stay, but as you know we got to the property right away when you alerted us and got that situation fixed.

Nice House

We had a great time staying here. The house came with linens and towels and plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The kitchen had everything we needed. Definitely have to drive to the beach but the public parking made it easy. The kids loved the hot tub which was super clean. If I had to say anything negative it could use a good dusting. Ceiling fans and inside light fixtures were full of dust. Parts of walls too. Overall it was perfect for us. Close to shopping too!

Beach

The house has a nicely updated kitchen counter, but the stove could use an update. The bathrooms were very nice. The house is a short drive to the beach, which is great. It would have been nice to have a private pool as the clubhouse pool was restricted to certain times, due to covid.

Great place for a Thanksgiving getaway for the family.

Really enjoyed our stay at Slam Dunk and the house fit our needs very well. The house was clean and prepared well, and is in a great location. I gave it 4 stars because it was almost perfect (couldn't give 4.5 stars) because the back of the house needed a cleaning from the weather, and when we got there the WiFi router had been unplugged and we had to hunt it down and reconnect it. That said, I would definitely stay there again given the overall property, the cleanliness inside the house, the location, and the price!
