Initially, We were disappointed as entry to the home was to a dark, ice cold room with beach chairs piled in the corner and old kids’ games which were unusable piled on a table in a den with much used furniture. Up the unfinished steps, however, the house became a home with spacious rooms that we could spread out in and which were in much better condition. We enjoyed the stay after all, but could have avoided to initial shock if the house could be updated, and not described as new build. It has potential!

Our family of 10 stayed here for a week and overall had a great vacation. The house is very spacious and comfortably fit our group. While the listing says it sleeps 18, I think that would be very crowded. The location is excellent, but the property needs better cleaning and maintenance. At first glance the house appears clean, but once you settle in, you notice it isn't well maintained. The biggest disappointment was the grill. It was filthy, covered in grease, had old food left inside, and the burners were deteriorated and unusable. My granddaughter touched it and ended up covered in grease. There were also several maintenance issues that should have been caught during a walkthrough between guests. The first-floor bathroom door handle fell off, the laundry room bifold doors were broken, curtain rods were bent, and there were multiple patched water-damaged ceilings that were never properly repaired. Some mattresses were uncomfortable and squeaky, and the basement bedroom felt uninviting, so no one wanted to use it.My suggestion to the owners is to spend a little more time on cleaning and perform a maintenance walkthrough after each rental. This property has great potential, but better upkeep would make a significant difference.

This property had a good location and was large, but that is the only positive I can say about it. Otherwise, it was the quintessential example of the race to the bottom and absolutely no desire to provide any kind of reasonable guest experience. The place was dirty-- hair in the shower, dirty brown smudges of god knows what above the toilet paper on the wall, dust dirt and grunge everywhere, dirty cleaning rags found on the floor at check in in multiple rooms, unclean dishes in the kitchen (maybe because, as noted further down, they don't provide basic supplies like a scrub brush to actually clean them, so prior guests just put them away duty and covered with grunge). The host didn't provide hand towels or shower mats, and the bathroom towels were something they got at goodwill a decade ago (threadbare, falling apart). They don't provide shampoo or basic supplies. The house is far from a "new build" as detailed in the listing-- it's falling apart. Think-- door knob to bathroom falling off every time you use it, broken floor tiles, filthy mold stained doors, holes in the bathroom walls where there should be towel racks, a grill that has never been cleaned so it was a hazard / unusable (started a grease fire, and no fire extinguisher is available), exposed unfinished Sheetrock in bedrooms, the list goes on.

Family Wedding Spot

This was a great place to host our family and friends who were coming into town for a family wedding. Lots of rooms and great location. It seems like it has some wear and tear so don't think it's brand new but the owner was super attentive to the repairs needed and made sure to respond to my messages quickly. I'd definitely recommend it for a family and friends get together!

Beach in Aug

We were a large group- 5 families. We all fit in the house with plenty of room. Kitchen and eating area work well for big meals. Beach access was perfect. House is a little run down, but all just cosmetic and what I expect from a vacation rental. I would rent again.

A great long weekend stay.

The house was wonderful. Our group of 11 friends found the house to be a lovely getaway for a long weekend. When we checked in we noted a few small issues and the host , Colin, came to address them right away. The layout is great for a large group and having two porches is a nice bonus. We are already making plans to return to this house again.

Thanksgiving weekend away

Our family of 17 stayed for 4 nights, the house was perfect for us - plenty of very comfortable beds and space. Kitchen was very well stocked and house was very clean. The owner Colin was very quick to respond to the few questions we had. It was too cold to be at the beach but water was literally across the street. I would highly recommend this house!

We had the best time! Location was perfect!

The shore line was just steps away and being out there looking at that huge body of water was breathtaking! It was cool but refreshing at the same time! The house had plenty of room the beds were comfortable and we all slept great! I had some questions about the area before we arrived and Collin our host replied within the hour with all kinds of resources and we appreciated that so much! We hope to be back again next year!

Great House and Location

This was a great spot for a beach vacation--the house was spacious and an easy walk to the beach. We'd stay here again if pets were allowed. The hosts were very responsive--there were a few minor things that would have been nice to have (salt/pepper shakers, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent), but the hosts had more pods delivered when we asked about their location. They also had a new coffee maker delivered when the current one stopped working.

This location was perfect and the home was large enough to meet our group’s needs. The common areas were also large and open, easily accommodating our size group. We enjoyed the beach! The hosts were responsive when we had questions. The home also left a bit to be desired - it was clear there was some water damage to the home at one time and many areas that had been patched, but not sanded or painted. TV and fan remotes were either missing or didn't have batteries. There were some drainage/plumbing issues in the upstairs bathroom. The furniture was worn and dated. Cleaning service also appeared to have skipped an entire bathroom.

Tidy but microwave didn't work!

The home is tidy and stocked at the level expected of a rental but not super clean. The microwave by all appearances should function - timer runs and it makes noise but doesn't heat anything which is tough when eating out and with children. Overall a nice stay, easy check in and out, and great access to the private beach a short walk away.

Great house for large group

Property was great. Host was very quick with responses. A 2nd refrigerator would have been very helpful with a large group. We agree with others about the towels. Definitely need an upgrade. We all felt like the towels were so old and picked up at the Goodwill from an estate sale. Air conditioner worked great since it was very hot and humid during our stay.

Denise - I will get new towels put in the house immediately, thanks for letting me know! I agree that a 2nd refrigerator would be a good idea. I am planning to add a spot in the basement for a 2nd refrigerator this fall/winter so it is in place for 2023. I am glad your stay went well and thanks again for renting from us!
