Beautiful well appointed home

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home. The kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen we ever encountered with every utensil, pan, bakeware, and appliance one could ever need, spices of all kinds, and dishes galore. The 3 master suites with king beds and private baths were perfect. The movie room a real treat. The dock was even equipped with comfortable furniture and the most beautiful view. You won’t be disappointed with this rental!

Awesome home and location!

This house lived up to all the great pictures and was everything we hoped it would be! Tremendous space in the home for all we needed, gradual slope down to the dock, and perfect, quiet, no wake cove! Definitely would come back again
our entire family loved it!

Thanksgiving in Huddleston, VA

Our Thanksgiving stay in Huddleston, VA was very nice. The home was beautiful with a pretty view on the waterfront. But, the only issues we had was both refrigerators was dirty and when leaving we had to find a dumpster location that was 38 mins away for the disposal of trash.

Lakefront luxury

Large, beautiful home with everything you need! Features like washers and dryers, as well as kitchens on each level make this the perfect home for large groups. Luxurious touches include the incredible stone and tile work throughout the home and an expansive master bath, as well as the in-home theatre room (perfect on a rainy day). The outdoor space is gorgeous and the no-wake cove is peaceful.

Beautiful Lake House

Best SML stay yet!

Lap of Luxury was outstanding! The house is amazing. The no-wake location was convenient to the best part of the lake and calm enough for lots of swimming off the dock. Matthew was responsive to questions and super easy to communicate with. We strongly recommend and will likely be back for our next SML trip.

Fantastic Week at Lap Of Luxury

From the initial contact to check-in and check-out, the communication for this rental was flawless. The house and grounds were meticulously maintained. I highly recommend a stay at Lap of Luxury to anyone wanting to enjoy the very best of lakefront living! My family and I had a wonderful week. There was plenty of room for everyone to be together as a family and also to enjoy some private time. The kitchen is a cook’s paradise (the Thermador gas range is beyond amazing). The relaxing living areas and the spacious dining area invited us to sit and stay for awhile. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the master bathroom is even more elegant than the pictures can show. We all loved sitting outside every morning, watching the wildlife and enjoying the peaceful, no wake cove location. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and having our boat there to cruise the lake. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home. We will definitely try to book this one again next year!

Spectacular place, perfect location

The house has everything you need. The kids love the theater room after along day on the water. If your into craftsman ship you will appreciate the amazing marble and tile work throughout the house. A few suggestions the front door needs to be easier to open and close. The back patio door hardware needs to be adjusted.

Incredible property

This is a beautiful home with 2 levels with 2 full kitchens which was perfect for multiple families. The views from the deck and dock were great. The no wake cove and location on the lake is hard to beat as well. This is the total package.

The home is large with plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 kids, with a large kitchen, dining and living area upon entering the front door. The lake and mountain view was lovely. The upstairs kitchen had amazing amenities (sub-zero-fridge, huge commercial range, 2 dishwashers, Miele built-in espresso machine, wine fridge and beverage fridge). The stonework throughout was spectacular with inlaid mosaics and an unbelievable master bedroom ensuite bathroom. We enjoyed family dinners around a massive rectangular table in the dining room and a nice round stone outdoor table on the upper deck. Fishing off the dock was fun. We enjoyed the lake in the small beach area and large raft we brought since there were no boats, kayaks or pedal boats provided. We enjoyed take out pizza from Pizzeria Alessandro (less than 10 minutes away) and we enjoyed dining outdoors at Jakes Place (less than 20 mins) one night. We were surprised we had to cart away our own trash to the town waste disposal area, and that there was no way to rinse sand off as there was no access to outdoor faucets. All in all, it was a beautiful home and a great family vacation.

Fantastic Property

We stayed at Smith Mountain Lake for our son's graduation weekend and loved every minute of it. This property is absolutely beautiful. It has everything you could want or need. Our family enjoyed everything from the fire pit and dock to the theatre room. It is also close to the marina if you would like to rent a boat to enjoy the lake. The owners were very easy to work with from start to finish. Can't wait to return.

Great family trip to SML

This house is stunning. Very well kept, beds were very comfortable. The weekend we chose ended up being rainy so the theater room was absolutely perfect for us all to watch movies together. The kitchen was very well stocked and having multiple dishwashers and coffee makers came very much in handy. We cant wait to come back on a sunny weekend!

Amazing Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at this amazing beautiful house. This house is equipped with everything you can ever imagine. If you love a great coffee, there’s an amazing coffee / espresso machine built in the kitchen cabinets. If you love to cook, this kitchen has it all. Tremendous gas stove / double oven that meets anyones wishes. From the balcony, there’s an amazing view of the mountain range. We definitely will be staying again if we can find a vacancy as this house stays booked up.

Great house for family gathering

Truly the Lap Of Luxury!

This home is absolutely breathtaking! I walked in and was speechless -- I think I squealed. The exotic stones used throughout will have you in awe your entire stay. I could tell you more about it, but that would ruin the surprise when you book your own visit. The owners were friendly and welcoming and responded promptly to emails and texts. The house has EVERYTHING you need. The beds were super comfortable. The house was immaculate and the grounds were well-kept. I thought the gift the owner left for me was a kind gesture and matched the love and warmth I felt in this family's home. We made forever memories here and are looking forward to returning in 2022.

We live in Maryland and have always loved the water and the mountains. When we decided it was time to purchase a vacation home, we fell in love with this property. Our family has already made many great memories at the Lake.

Our favorite things to do are swimming in our isolated, warm water, no wake cove and to get out on the boat and explore this huge lake full of interesting coves and properties.

We really hope you enjoy staying at our home. We've already implemented several of our guests' suggestions and hope to do more each year, and we love feedback. So please enjoy your stay and let us know of any ideas you have to improve the experience.

This beautiful one acre property in a small, quiet neighborhood has a huge welcoming great room on the main floor, a fantastic home theatre, and plenty of space to relax. The original builder had a high-end stone import business that is reflected throughout the home with incredible stonework, inside and out.
