Bénéficiant d'un superbe emplacement au sommet d'une colline surplombant la plage de Carvoeiro, le Monte Dourado se trouve à quelques pas du village de Carvoeiro. Notre appartement est entiÚrement rénové, confortablement décoré et dispose de 5 piscines extérieures (une chauffée) et de 2 courts de tennis. Cet hébergement indépendant du Monte Dourado est équipé d'une connexion Internet rapide et gratuite, de l'accÚs à Netflix et à d'autres comptes en streaming, d'une table à manger en bois et d'un coin salon spacieux avec des fauteuils confortables. La cuisine bien équipée comprend un four traditionnel, un réfrigérateur-congélateur, un lave-vaisselle et un lave-linge. Vous pourrez vous détendre au bord de la piscine, sur le balcon ou sur le toit-terrasse privé. Les parcours de golf de Quinta do Gramacho, de Vale de pinta et de Vale de Milho sont accessibles en 10 minutes de route. Un parking public gratuit est disponible sur place et la réception peut également organiser des voitures de location.

Whilst the weather was terrible Sally our host communicated well with us and the cleaning lady Paula was very helpful and paid attention to detail. We The apartment is well equipped and homely. The heated swimming pool is a bonus. The location is up hills so you need some fitness to stay here.

Das Appartement war sehr großzĂŒgig. Nett und gemĂŒtlich eingerichtet. Alles war vorhanden. Die KĂŒche war gut ausgestattet, ausreichend Geschirr, SpĂŒlmaschine, Waschmaschine. Großer Balkon, den wir wegen des Wetters leider nicht nutzen konnten. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt.

We absolutely loved our stay! This beautiful two bedroom apartment had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Good comfortable beds a well stocked kitchen and most importantly and absolutely gorgeous view from our balcony. We overlooked the swimming pool a slice of the ocean and the town below. We were able to walk to dinner every night with over 100 restaurants to choose from in Carvoeiro. The apartment was very centrally located in the Algarve allowing us to do day t trips with ease. Do not hesitate to book this lovely apartment!

We had an amazing 2 weeks at this apartment during Summer. The booking and communication with the host was seamless. The apartment was larger than we expected from the pictures especially the second bedroom, with plenty of room to sleep for our 3 children. The view from the balcony and roof top terrace was beautiful. It is close to all the amenities in Carvoeiro - we ventured around the local area numerous times a day by foot. It is on a steep hill but manageable. The pool was fab, no sunbed wars. Just relaxing.We arrived on an early flight and the cleaner accommodated our luggage while she got the apartment ready which was much appreciated. We had such a lovely stay a few minor niggles, but did not interfere how much we enjoyed our holiday. 100% would stay here again if in the area.

Our stay was good. The unit was very comfortable, good beds, clean, and had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Good AC units. There are lots of stairs to reach the unit so if you’re any older than us (70) it would be tricky (especially carrying luggage). Be prepared to supply everything yourself. Only hand soap is provided and basic 2 roles of toilet paper. We’ve become accustomed to VRBO in the USA where everything is included. Note to owner that numerous lightbulbs need replacing as do ice cube trays. Also, it would be great to supply a map of the resort showing the unit location. We arrived at night and another resident shared a map that helped us locate the unit. There arent even lights on the walkways so we used phone lights to find the stairs.

What more can you ask for? We had a great stay in Carvoeiro at Monte Dourado. The location was great - just a quick 10 minute walk to town, the beach, and restaurants. The pool and balcony were lovely. It was great to have 2 bathrooms for our family. Overall, everything was great.

We had a great time as a family of 4 in this apartment. Very spacious and well laid out, with views of the sea from the rooftop and pool area. Nice pool, busy at times, but still relaxing and a great place to either cool of or sunbathe.Air conditioning worked a treat.Close to centre of town (3 minutes downhill), which has plenty of places to eat and local supermarketsWe had a car, parking was plentiful, and found location great for exploring the local area.Would recommend this place, was exactly as described.

Very comfortable Apartment

A lovely air conditioned apartment, pleasantly furnished with a very comfortable double bed. We very much enjoyed the large sunny balcony with it's lovely outlook over the pool and the sea. The roof terrace offered a great place for sun downers with its glorious views watching the sun set. A possible negative for some is that the apartment is part of a reasonable size complex hosting a good number of people. Our time there was somewhat marred by large noisy groups sitting around our pool. Sad to say they were Brits. At times it was lovely and peaceful and at others it was very noisy with a lot of bad language being used. If you catch a period with reasonable people staying you will not be disappointed.

Amazing stay in a beautiful property

This was the best family holiday we have ever had, in no small part due to this apartment and its location. Carvoeiro is such a beautiful spot and this apartment is perfectly placed to enjoy everything it has to offer. Yes, there is a hill to climb, but we really enjoyed the walks up and down every day and didn't find this a problem at all. As for the apartment itself - the photos really don't do it justice. Spacious (plenty of space for a family of 5), well-equipped and amazing views. Swimming pools accessible and clean. Comfy beds. I could go on. If in any doubt, just book it, you won't regret it.

Goed en ruim appartement met alleen veel trappen tot de ingang. Het interieur kan wel een goede update gebruiken. Het park is geweldig. Het was onze derde keer in het park.

Even better than it looks

We were unable to book a holiday until the last minute, by which time our first choice through Vrbo (a villa in Ferragudo we had stayed in last October) was gone. Having enjoyed a family holiday in Monte Dourado some years ago we decided on a return visit, to a significantly superior property. As everyone mentions, the steep hill up from the village does provide a workout but well worth it. The photographs really do not tell the full story of this exceptional apartment, in particular the roof terrace is even better than it appears but the whole place is spacious and well presented. The pool area is excellent and the sea views (and the sound of the waves either lapping or crashing onto the shore depending on the weather is a nice backdrop). Every query was promptly and helpfully replied to by Sally, I have no doubt that any significant issues would be dealt with quickly. It was a pleasure staying in this very welcoming and comfortable home. I shouldn't really say this but it seems to me that the price charged represents excellent value for money too. Highly recommended, we would certainly check availability first when next we get a week off.

We've stayed at the Monte dourado resort many times over the last 15 years . This apartment with it's balcony overlooking the pool affords great sea views and although a steep road back lends itself to being accessible to the towns bars and restaurants.

We started going to Monte Dourado, Carvoeiro in 2008. It was a last minute deal and we had never been to Portugal before. Since then we haven't been anywhere else! Monte Dourado is a stunning resort, ideally situated so that you are close to the bars and restaurants aswell as the beach, without being down in the noise of the town. The people are so friendly. It really is a beautiful place. Whenever we arrive, I feel the tension just drop away. It really is like coming home.

In addition to the standard two bedrooms that are provided by the apartments on Monte Dourado, we also have a beautiful, private roof terrace that boasts its own BBQ, sun loungers and dining area. Whether you want to soak up the sun during the day, or watch the stunning sun sets while finishing the day with a glass of Sangria, it really is a fantastic addition to the apartment. Recently we have installed free, high speed Wifi, which will enable you to stream from your own Netflix etc accounts.
