Great place to stay for a large group

Thank you for a good stay. We had a large group of 9 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs & this location was ideal for us. The property was great, with the kitchen and garden areas being particularly nice. Access to the castle grounds was also fantastic. Cleanliness is not the best but it meets minimum standards of rooms and bedding being clean. Could do with a deep clean or, at a minimum, removal of piles of dead bugs. Would recommend as a place to stay.

A beautiful Farmhouse - perfct for Groups

We stayed at the farmhouse as a family of 11 for an occasion. It was a wonderful house, supoer location and fantastic gardens. woudl highly recommend.

We loved Almesbury Farmhouse. 14 of us stayed in the house and annexe. It’s quirky and very spacious. The kitchen is very well stocked with a nice touch of goodies left. Great location. We enjoyed the steam train from Toddington to Broadway. The cafe at Toddington provided good refreshments. Loved Sudeley castle. Also Winchcombe itself is beautiful and gorgeous walks very close by. Nice BBQ in the garden. Every bed was comfortable so I’m told and the bedding was lovely. I would highly recommend a stay. The bathrooms are well appointed. All in all an excellent stay. Thank you.

Amazing location

This was a lovely spacious family house and garden, in an amazing location, with the village and castle nearby. Perfect for a family group of all ages. The only issue was a lack of thorough cleaning in some rooms.

Making treasured family memories is so wonderful when you can make it happen. Almsbury Farmhouse was such a wonderful place to stay making such an occasion possible. Everywhere was warm and comfortable throughout our stay with plenty of room to be together but also have time to be in smaller groups for more quiet moments for those that needed it at times. Our group was across the age range so the playroom was invaluable for those with small children who got up early and were able to be noisy without disturbing anyone above them still having a holiday lie in. The 2 staircase were great fun for small people and the top landing with lots of space was also another great area for a quiet read or being able to play away from others if needed. The kitchen was very well equipped and the second kitchen was also helpful to have with lots of different dietary requirements in our group. Being close to the town was also great as it was far away enough for a walk and some fresh air but near enough to pop to for a pint of milk. Parking and accessibility was also great. We hope to be able to come again as it worked so well for our multigenerational gathering as it was a very special time made even better by such a wonderful property and location. The weather was awful ( weekend of 2 storms) so we didn’t get out much as we had hoped to but the accommodation was so lovely that it made staying in almost as good!

We had a great stay at Almsbury Farmhouse.

Almsbury Farmhouse is a beautiful building of Cotswold stone a short walk from the village, with pubs, restaurants, cafés and a brilliant hardware store. It was perfect for our family of 3 generations ranging from 1 to 76 yrs old. It was comfortable, spacious and relaxing. The garden was ideal for children to play safely and for all of us to eat outside on the long table. We loved the views over the village and church and opportunities for walking and running the Cotswold Way. It was within easy reach of Longborough Opera House, where we saw a brilliant production of Verdi's Macbeth and we all loved Sudely Castle and made use of the free access. Part of the family stayed at the gatehouse to the castle, which worked well as it is within a short walking distance. We loved Almsbury Farmhouse.

Great!

We got married at Sudeley Castle and this was our base for the bridal parties to stay. It was perfect and had loads of space for all 14 of us to get ready. The welcome pack of tea/coffee and biscuits was much appreciated.

Fabulous all round

Location was perfect - close to shops & bonus access to the castle, yet quiet & secluded house & garden. Well stocked kitchen, beautiful rooms for sleeping & Socialising. One of the best we’ve stayed in!

A beautiful old building but not as luxurious as expected for the price

This house is in a fantastic location in the grounds of Sudeley castle, with lovely walks and pubs on its doorstep. Unfortunately the property is not greatly equipped for a large group, is in need of a refresh and upgrade, and could definitely have benefited from a deeper clean. We felt it was overpriced given the aforementioned factors.

Wonderful location and charming house and garden

Our family loved this holiday at Almsbury Farmhouse!! The house was perfect for a large group and the accessibility to Sudeley Castle was an absolute pleasure! Could not have enjoyed it more! House is well equipped and comfortable.

This house is is suitable for large groups in easy walking distance of the pretty Cotswold town Winchcome which has plenty of nice restaurants. A house full of character that we have used many times.

Great Week-end

Property very spacious and quirky, well equipped, and ideally situated. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The only criticism is that there is no TV in the annex!

Lovely place for a family gathering

Huge building with lots of character. Large communal spaces and also smaller ones. We had no children with us but there was a games room I'm sure would come in handy if you did bring children. Very close to the castle and lovely walks.

A wonderful house with lots of space for large family gatherings.

Fantastic house with plenty of room for our family gathering. Everyone was happy with their bedrooms and the Annex was warm and cosy. Lots of walks from the doorstep and being able to visit Sudeley Castle and grounds for free as many times as you wanted was a real bonus.

New. Year get away.

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Almsbury over new year. It was our second stay, having first visited for my 60th birthday in May, and we loved it just as much in the winter. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, with blue skies, frost and snow, so though beautiful it was incredibly cold outside but lovely and cosy inside. The farmhouse is exceptionally spacious and allows for generous social space as well as room for separate areas for those who want a bit of peace. We also love the fact that there are so many beautiful walks from the house. We didn't need to get the cars out once during our stay.

Beautiful property - perfect for large family gathering

We had a wonderful time at Almsbury Farmhouse. It was nicely appointed with everything we needed. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our entire party to be comfortable. In addition, we loved the cozy sitting room and the enclosed backyard and patio area. It is a quick walk into Winchcombe or to Sudeley Castle. Winchcombe is a fantastic base for exploring the Cotswolds. We hope to be back soon!
