Bienvenue à Pali Ke Kua 201, une superbe unité de coin avec des fenêtres sur trois côtés présentant des vues de Bali Hai, des baleines à bosse (en hiver), des arcs-en-ciel brillants, des vues infinies sur l'océan, des vues impressionnantes sur les montagnes et des cascades en cascade - des paysages à couper le souffle de chaque pièce. C'est un refuge de lune de miel parfait et un endroit idéal pour célébrer votre anniversaire ou toute occasion spéciale.

Votre maison loin de chez vous a été récemment rénovée à la mi-2011 et est lumineuse et aérée avec des plafonds cathédrale en flèche, une entrée carrelée, des artefacts polynésiens indigènes et une bibliothèque complète d'histoire hawaïenne / pacifique.

La chambre principale est au niveau principal et a un nouveau lit king ferme et ferme et une salle de bain complète avec une baignoire confortable. Le loft lumineux et aéré à l'étage a deux nouveaux lits jumeaux et une salle de bain complète supplémentaire avec douche.

La grande véranda extérieure en ardoise dispose d'une chaise longue ainsi que d'une table et de chaises pour profiter pleinement de la vue magnifique. Vous verrez des baleines à bosse en hiver ainsi que des albatros et des nénés toute l'année. Les Nene, parfois appelés oies nene, sont des oiseaux d'État d'Hawaï et peuvent être très divertissants lorsqu'ils se promènent dans le magnifique parc.

Il y a des marchés fermiers hebdomadaires dans la ville de Hanalei et Kilauea afin que vous puissiez obtenir des gâteries locales à préparer dans votre cuisine entièrement équipée. Pour votre commodité, la laveuse et la sécheuse sont au rez-de-chaussée.

Vous êtes entouré de palmiers tropicaux luxuriants, d'hectares de pelouse et de fleurs et d'arbres indigènes avec une piscine et un jacuzzi �� proximité.

Il y a un chemin pavé privé vers une plage isolée de sable blanc, Hideaways Beach, avec plongée en apnée saisonnière de classe mondiale. De plus, vous n'êtes qu'à quelques minutes de la célèbre baie de Hanalei où vous pourrez profiter de la plage de Hanalei en forme de croissant, classée n ° 1 de la plage des États-Unis en 2009!

The property and views are amazing! We stayed for a week and sat out on the lanai every morning and evening and enjoyed sunrises with rainbows and whales in the distance and gorgeous sunsets. It felt like a true getaway being in such a beautiful part of the island so close to the ocean and mountains. We would definitely stay here again!

The views are unique and the apartment had all of the amenities we wanted! While it is true that the apartment can use some updates, the lack of the updates did not impact our overall experience!

Lovely place to stay!

This is a fantastic unit, the view from the lanai is amazing. We were grateful that some beach gear was available for use. The pots and pans were in very poor condition making it really hard to use the kitchen easily. The knives were dull. The shower fixtures were old and are in need of care.

Mixed Experience - Stunning Views, with Drawbacks

The Bali Hai and mountain vistas here are truly unmatched, and the remodeled kitchen and bathrooms are fresh upgrades. However, a few drawbacks that I think worth mentioning:- Insect invasion: Old, warped window/door screens with gaps and holes let in swarms of insects. While most were harmless, the relentless mosquitoes disrupted sleep.- Staircase challenges: Steep outdoor stairs (7 steps to the front door), immediately inside, you must climb 7 steep steps up to the upper level or descend 7 equally steep steps to the main living area. Not ideal for mobility concerns.- Check-in hassle: Physical key pickup at the Lihue office requires a short drive—digital locks would simplify this.- Outdated furniture: The couches were noticeably old, worn, and, well, less clean than you’d like them to be. A gem for the views, and if insects, stairs, and stylish furnishings are not your concerns, you’d love this place.

It has dust mites in the bed and lot of bugs in the house. I had called and them know and they gave me a bottle of bug spray after 4 days. I had multiple bud bites along with my family. I would stay away from this place.

I have stayed at Pali Kekua many times before and this was the absolutely worst unit I have stayed in any place on Kauai. The view is spectacular but the condo it self is in desperate need for an update. Other then the view the photos are very misleading I had vacation rentals on Island myself and it is a privilege to offer it to visitors. With that also comes a responsibility of sharing Aloha and show respect to the guests. This condo did not do that at all. It reflects the overlay of greed that currently inhabits our beautiful Island. This unit could shine with very little upgrades and furniture that is intact.

View: Spectacular, Condo: So-So

Lovely view and good location in Princeville, condo didn't live up to expectations however. Carpet on stairs as you enter was quite dirty but the condo overall was very clean. Well equipped kitchen but no barbecue available anywhere in the condo complex except on the beach (a hibachi, bring your own briquettes) at the bottom of a very steep and slippery path. The bed was very comfortable but the bedroom looks out on the parking lot and the main Princeville road with traffic all night and car lights shining on the walls and bed-traffic does lessen after 11pm or so, but still cars 24/7. As I said before the view is terrific, but after dark one might wish to watch TV; despite having 2 bedrooms there is 1 TV in the living room only and it is a teeny one-maybe 16", AND only broadcast channels were watchable, no ESPN (come on, it's football season!) no HGTV, TLC, FOOD channel, Golf, Bravo etc. OK, it's night time and you might wish to read in the living room while listening to the surf pound in the dark, well, lovely idea and a very well stocked and enjoyable library is found in the condo; however, the can lights you would need to see to read a book were apparently disconnected so the light was extremely inadequate. Nice bathrooms, very clean-but the towels, including beach towels, were skimpy and thin. I don't think I would stay in this condo again and probably not the complex-the pool is small, unheated and with not many chairs, I would imagine it gets pretty crowded at peak vacation periods, and, as mentioned no available barbecue facilities.

Dear Vacation Guests, We humbly and gratefully thank you for taking the time to review our condo. We always appreciate feedback and do what we can to have as many satisfied guests as possible. In addition to being a rental unit, this is our family vacation home and reflects our family’s lifestyle. We are a very outdoor oriented, Colorado mountain family with two young children. We come to Kauai to enjoy the many pleasures that the island has to offer. However, we realize that many people enjoy watching TV while on island -- especially if it rains -- so we recently purchased a flat screen TV for better clarity. We also have installed wireless capability for our guests. We have not had any complaints before about the location of the condo – actually, quite the opposite. Our condo is located where many vacationers come to watch the sunset. We feel blessed that our corner unit has windows with views of the mountains and waterfalls in addition to the main ocean views from the living room, dining room and lanai. The parking lot (about 30 yards away) is surrounded by a 8 foot hedge and can be seen – just barely through the trees – from the back of the condo. We do ask that guests remove their shoes before coming into the condo (a lovely Hawaiian custom). However, many guests do not respect this island tradition and, consequently, track in the red dirt for which Kauai is famous. We are aware of this problem so we deep clean the carpets every six months and have them spot cleaned after each guest’s departure. There is a beach BBQ available to all guests, but no other open flame BBQs are permitted on the premises due to fire regulations. The beach towels and bath towels are replaced frequently, but the towels often disappear and older ones may be substituted until new ones are purchased. The condo has sophisticated lighting system throughout so that rather than just having an "on/off" lighting option, there are dimmer switches that can create whatever mood you wish. Sometimes, the lighting options take a few minutes to figure out. The pool was just remodeled last year. Most owners have been delighted with the new pool and furniture. There are pictures of it with the listing. Thank you for the many compliments on the amazing views at the condo, the newly remodeled bathrooms, the extensive library and the wonderfully comfortable beds. Unit is well equipped with kitchen, sand chairs, towels, etc. the patio door should be replaced. The screens get off track all the time and birds can make their way in. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The best thing about this condo is its location in Princeville with views of the mountains, the ocean, and the sunsets over Bali Hai. The PKK grounds are very pleasant with lovely trees, flowers, birds, and views plus the trail down to the beach. The condo layout and general amenities, including the library, are also great. From a sanitation aspect, the cleanliness was fine. But it seriously needs a deep cleaning (e.g., dusting/cleaning railings & art work; cleaning couch cushion covers & pillows) and better routine maintenance (e.g., doors & screens and bathroom fixtures). We've been coming to this condo for many years. We enjoyed our stay and will likely come back, but with the significant rate increase over last year, we'd hoped to see better care taken of the place.

We had a great time, and enjoyed our condo, even though it is quite dated and could use many upgrades. But we loved the location, and KVR staff was very helpful when we had a problem that needed fixing. It was handled promptly and staff was friendly. Our problem came when we checked out and went by your office to drop off keys. There was extensive road work between us in Princeville and you in Lihue, causing maybe 45 minutes delay. By the time we got to your office, we were both in dire need of a bathroom. We are both in our 70's and not in any way menacing. We asked if we could use the bathroom at your office, and were told no. She said we should go across the street to Walmart. When we got to Walmart the lot was packed - no place to park, no way to get to a bathroom. After leaving you with a couple thousand dollars of our money, it did not seem like an unreasonable request to ask to use a bathroom. We were the only people there, and as I say, posed no threat. It just seemed rude and uncaring. We have rented from you before, and been happy with our experiences. But this experience leaves me thinking we may have to look for something different. Simple human kindness should have been shown, and was not.

Grateful for the fans as the afternoon sun really heats up the place in the afternoons. Leaving the front door open helped create a strong cross breeze-wish there was a screen door. Living room furniture, bathroom fixtures, washer and dryer were on the older side but were functional. Good communication from the rental company.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is older with need of some minor repairs and a good deep cleaning. You can tell regular cleaning is done (bedding, countertops, etc.) but the hard to reach spaces and things like curtains and windows treatments look like they haven’t had a good cleaning for a while. The saving grace of this property is the view! Mountains and waterfalls to one side, crystal clear ocean with views of the reef on the other. Amazing sunsets and beautiful gardens surrounding the property. Had the condo been cleaner and in better repair it would have been perfect.

Reviewer Comments: Wish I could say as good as all the other units I have stayed in. Unfortunately this one was not as clean and had an offensive odor. It definitely needs updating. New flooring would be a big help and a thorough cleaning of all wicker furniture. Cushions need to be replaced too.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second stay at Pali Ke Kua and first time in this unit. The unit does need some updates but all in all for the price it is a great unit. Comfy bed, fully stocked kitchen and great furniture on the balcony for enjoying the sunset. We would like to see them remodel and remove the carpeting. It is well worn and gives the condo a musty smell due to the humidity. It is a corner unit with the bedroom in the back toward the street. The bedroom curtains do not allow for air flow when closed and you need the ventilation late in the afternoon as it gets very hot. It would have been great if the curtains stopped above the florida windows or had sheers to allow for more air and privacy because at night with the lights on and the curtains open you can see right in. Beach equipment and cooler were provided. The loft area was cute and would be great for kids. Having two bathrooms was another plus. Don't let my suggested updates sway you away from staying here, this is a great condo and we would definitely return. Just a little food for thought for the owners.

Unparalleled views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You have panoramic views in this unit....mountains, ocean and you can hear the waves. Hard to find that on the North shore. Another perk, direct access to the beach down a steep paved path with some of the best snorkeling, with turtles, on the island. Awesome sunsets. People migrate to this side of Princeville for the perfect sunset pic and we only have to walk out to the lanai. Though the unit is a bit dated, it has all the amenities needed. Kauai rentals is also an excellent company to work with. We have used them several times.
