Dear Carolyn, thank you for your 5 star review! The back patio has over 30 beautiful lighting accent lights built into the deck. There is light switch in the kitchen that turns both the floods lights that light up the entire yard and deck lights. Lighting option are also described in our house manual. The light switch in the kitchen turns both back light and front kitchen lights on. The cleaner advised there were ants upon your departure, so I had pest control address. I always recommend guest to contact me during their stay, that way I can readily address. Thank you for stay Carolyn, my pleasure hosting you.

Lindsey thank you for choosing Southern comfort for your extended monthly stay. However the cottage was sparkling clean upon arrival, as part of my customer service I check in with every guest upon arrival and the next day. Therefore if there was truly an issue this should have been mentioned, that way my cleaning staff would have been happy to address. The shower was certainly working upon arrival and on the 3rd week you advised the pressure was low. I called a plumber and set up an appointment straight away and a new shower head was installed to addressed. During your stay you wanted to alter you stay which initially could not accommodate. Then when I was able to you chose to extend your stay. This is a beautifully home, full of southern charm.

We appreciate guest candid reviews, maintenance is important, we try to update furniture in between guest. We have since updated the dining room with new white table and chairs. We do have soft lighting. However we have multiple lamps in living room desk, coffee table and floor, if guest prefers additional lighting.

Please be aware that our guest Jennifer was a scammer. She made a serious claim her car was broken into and a brand new lap top, personal items and credit card was stolen, in attempt to stay at our beautiful southern cottage free of charge. We have a ring door bell security camera as per listing. After reviewing the footage of our guest claim there was no break in and no police called. The guest was unable to provide pictures of a break or a police report. Jennifer conveniently then changed her story and advised she left her car unlocked, which proved futile as there was no persons shown on the footage. I hope no other host encounters such a dishonest guest. Jennifer scam was reported.

This is a dishonest review! This guest not only damaged property but was clearly not respectful of our cottage.She stood up on our window frame and caused it to break to take off cover to parasol. The entire house has new window frames. There was no storm during her stay and no damage was reported upon arrival or during her stay. Additional outdoor cleaning was required as there was a large heap of cut hair left in the yard. When guest was asked she admitted she cut her childrens hair in the yard and left the hair there so the birds could make a nest? Which was baffling. We supply enough toilet paper for every guest stay and this is not an issue. All kitchen utensils were present during guest stay. However if scissors were need guest could have requested and I would have been happy to provide. We simply ask guests to remove open perishable food upon check out.
