Saugerties Stay

Immaculate property with beautiful views. Apartment had private entry and was extremely nice. Main A/C in the living room was a little noisy but did not affect sleeping quarters. Vince was very accommodating with everything needed. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful Property and Friendly Property Manager

We are two adult women who rented the apartment for a week for a private meditation retreat. The apartment is clean and pretty. Worthy to note for two couples, sound does travel easily between the bedrooms as the wall stops before the sliding glass doors. We cooked every day and even though the kitchen wasn't abundantly supplied with pots and pans, we got by just fine. We loved the balcony overlooking the property and the small pond, the view from the little hall where we did our meditation overlooking the quaint bridge. We loved Skylar the goose and his wild goose companion, and we loved morning walks with Pete, the dog. The property is in a convenient location with traffic noise from the property, but otherwise, it was quiet and relaxing. A perfect place to reset. Vince and Jody were very friendly and willing to help when we needed it. We are grateful for our stay and highly recommend it.

Stayed for a month

We stayed for a month as we were house hunting to move into the area. Being there so long we spent many of our evenings at the Airbnb and it was usually too cool to enjoy the lovely balcony area which was the most comfortable place to lounge. The kitchen has a good stove and microwave but for a month of real cooking off and on, a bit short on supplies. However for shorter stays Vince's place is quite well supplied with thoughtful touches like cable tv, a makeup mirror, good lighting for reading in bed, a washer and dryer, good climate control etc. Though it’s not on walking trails, the property itself is lovely, a winding drive down a dirt/gravel road on a pretty piece of land. Vince was very pleasant and readily available for any help needed.

Perfect Hideaway

This secluded, yet conveniently located rental , was the perfect respite during my multiday visit to Saugerties. The owners were attentive but it was very private and relaxing.

This is a beautiful property with an attached 2 bedroom apartment. We had plenty of privacy. The grounds were beautiful. Vince was easy to communicate with and very responsive. The location was excellent for our purposes. I would certainly stay there again.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the apartment well furnished. The bedrooms are lovely and the balconies a big benefit.The living room is very small for a family and would recommend not more than 3 stay here. Kitchen well equipped ,and décor lovely.

The bedrooms where nice, except the privacy, there was a gap between the two rooms where the balcony was. It would be nice to have two separate balcony doors. But the property was very nice. Blue birds would fly right up to the balcony. We only stayed one night so we didn't have enough time to explore.

Clean Apartment, Large Property

Vince was very responsive and accommodating. The apartment was clean upon arrival. The property is quite large and great for walks and exploring. Lots of beautiful chickens, duck families and geese families roaming around. We went the end of May, and there were no bugs/pests. A great stay!

Perfect Catskills Adventure

Vince was great, and the place is amazing. The estate is immaculate with ponds and streams and wildlife, and a very quick trip to climb in the Catskills! Could not recommend more highly! Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful grounds and great location to the Mountains

We are a family of 5 and the house was very spacious and clean. The property was absolutely beautiful. We love the ponds and streams and all the wildlife. Easy access into town, restaurants and both ski mountains. Vince was very friendly, helpful and responsive. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.

The house is situated on a hill with beautiful view of trees in full autumn colors, winding creek flowing under covered bridge, small ponds with ducks floating on, roosters and hens playing around in group. Just lovely!

'Estate' is not an overstatement - the house and extensive grounds have an air of history about them. Leave some time during your stay for a long walk around the beautifully maintained property, you won't be disappointed. Aside from that the apartment was private, well maintained and comfortable. Picture of house is not where the actual VRBO accommodations are. They are in the back of the house. The property is in a very remote location. Owner said he would return a laptop left behind and never has.

So sorry you’re laptop wasn’t returned in a timeframe that was satisfactory to you. I was working out of town for a couple days. However it was returned. You also should probably tell a potential host that you’re bringing a dog.

Tranquil retreat!

We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing acres of private property! We arrived in the rain but still enjoyed sitting on the balcony off the two bedrooms. We were greeted by chickens and hens and a goose honking at us! So sweet! Didn't even mind the wake up call! haha The apartment was very clean, comfortable beds, lots of closet space. Kitchen and living room area are a bit small and closed in but we didn't care. We preferred sitting outside on the balcony or exploring the charming towns of Saugerties and Woodstock. Perfect for four of us! The covered bridge added to the beautifully landscaped setting. Vince was a perfect host! Highly recommend this property!

Perfect location, beautiful property, Vince was very accommodating, loved the porch. Mitch living area slightly off lay out, however we didn’t spend a lot of time there, we were there to visit family. We will keep this place in mind for the future.

Wonderful stay!

This was our second time at Vince’s place, we liked it so much the first time that we just really had to come back again. We love the lake and paddle boats, the solitude of the place, so much birdlife, the chickens, their friendly dog, and the outdoor grill and fire pit that we made use of. We will be back again! Friendly, hospitable and laid back owner.
