L'unité de retraite du Commodore 402 est un condo de 2 chambres avec un loft pouvant accueillir 10 personnes. King dans le maßtre avec salle de bain privée, lit queen dans la deuxiÚme chambre avec salle de bain. Loft à l'étage a 2 ensembles de lits superposés jumeaux et un lit queen ainsi. Cuisine complÚte. L'unité a également une laveuse et une sécheuse pleine grandeur.

TV dans chaque chambre et Internet / WiFi gratuit ainsi.

Beach Trip with Family

Beautiful property. Love that it's on the beach and no stairs. Very quiet area. Convenient to all the best parts of 30A. We are big fans. Will stay here again.

The location and view were amazing and exactly what I was looking for! The furniture was pretty dusty when we arrived. We were concerned about only having 1 parking spot, but were able to make it work.

Great spot on a great beach. The property is a bit tired but who cares-we weren’t there for a five star resort. The deck makes the place great. Plenty of beds for everyone. No complaints.

2nd time staying, we love it!

It's becoming a yearly tradition to meet my kids and Grandkids here (halfway for both). We love the location, and being on the top floor. Seagrove is a beautiful area, not too crowded, very quiet, the water is perfect. We love Commodore's Retreat, especially this particular condo.

Commanders retreat 402

Overall, we had a very nice stay and loved the property location. The unit itself could use some updates, but was clean and very roomy. We really enjoyed the large balcony and the beautiful view. The property management company was very responsive and super easy to work with as well. All around a great vacation experience!

Excellent Value Great Location

Although the unit needs a refresh and a few repairs it served its purpose and all the other amenities did not disappoint. Location! Location!! Location!!! Direct private beach access, plenty of space, spacious sun deck, and endless ocean breeze. A great place for families with multiple kids. Management company was excellent to work with.

Good location! Nice views! Enjoyed the large balcony! The washing machine does not work properly as it did not clean our laundry and left orange stains on our clothes and towels.

Great Views, Great Location

The location and proximity to the beach could not be beat. Overall the unit was exactly what we were looking for. The deck was the best part about the place. We ate every meal we had from the deck overlooking the ocean. I would definitely stay here again. There were a few small things that could have been addressed in the interior of the space that would go a long way. However, They are minor in detail and overall didn’t take away from the experience.

A week of fun and sun!

The condo is great and everything we needed. Steps to the beach, comfy beds, and an equipped kitchen so we could cook some meals at home. The porch was wonderful to play cards on or sunbathe. Our only complaint would be the wifi is kind of hit or miss. Some days would work and some days would not. Not too big of a deal. Overall it was clean and we had a wonderful time! We will definitely be back!

Great location!!!! Property could use a facelift.

Location was Wonderful!!! Balconies were getting worked on so workers were on them and asked us to leave a few times so that was a bit frustrating. The overall property could use an entire facelift our unit particularly bathrooms were dirty and one of our toilets would not flushing could not get maintenance up till the second day we were there.

Great view

Condo definitely needs updating. Hair found in both bathtubs so can’t rate cleanliness any better. The location was amazing however you do have to drive to get most places. The balcony and view were amazing. Keep in mind that there is only one parking space for each condo. We were able to park across the small road so is never posed a problem. I guess it depends on how busy the area is.

Needs update

Outside bad, no good parking, elevator scary - never been inspected. Carpet and Walkway to beach badly worn. Commode would not work, shower would not drain. Definitely way overpriced.

Views are great but


The location and views were great. The cleanliness of the property was not. There was sand and hair in the floor. The pantry door would not open and close properly. The door handle to one bathroom didn’t work. One guest got stuck in the elevator for over 30 minutes and we had to call the fire department to get her out. It really needs a refresh.

My 2nd stay at Commodore Retreat so knew the excellent location & beach access. The Penthouse unit was perfect for my age range, and the rooftop balcony was the best part. We had other family members staying on property but we all gathered on my balcony in the evening. It does get hot out there during the day. Our only real complaint is the Fob system. All other properties I have stayed in have a code to punch in like on the doors. 2 fobs for a unit that sleeps 10+ is not enough. It was a constant hassle walking back & forth with it. Kitchen was stocked pretty well other than the can opener. Small problem but easily fixed. Kids loved the pool too, esp on the double red flag days. We are already planning a return visit to CR!

2nd Time Stay. Great Location

Unit was clean and served our needs. The view is immaculate from living room and Master Bedroom.Huge deck and the beach is perfection. Seagrove is by far my favorite Florida beach area. Seaside is just down the road. We rented bikes which is a must if you want to get the full Seagrove experience. Please note that loft area has steep stairs and no bathroom. Second bathroom is on first floor. My 3yr old and 5yr old grandchildren were with us and we would not let them up the stairs due to fear of falling because of the steepness. This could be an issue for some but was ok for us since it was my young adult children staying in the loft. Loft is HUGE with room to sleep 7 people if you had to. 4 bunks, 2 trundle, 1 separate Queen. Private beach with key fob entry. Pool in back. Too cold for us this trip but have enjoyed it several times before. 4 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas set up included which is HEAVEN to anyone who doesn’t want to lug equipment back and forth every day. Microwave handle hanging by a thread and vertical blinds in living room and master have seen better days for sure but normal wear and tear in my opinion and definitely not a deal breaker. No towel hook in master bath which was a bummer. My 3rd time staying at Commodore’s Retreat and 2nd time in this condo.

So Much Potential

On the upside, we had a wonderful stay. The condo is well equipped and public areas are comfortable. The deck is large with beautiful views. Check-in was easy. The area is lovely. The condo would benefit from some updates. The second bedroom (close to entrance) is flooded from outside night lighting making it very difficult to sleep. This problem could be remedied by blackout curtains. Our adult son who was using this room, had to move upstairs to the loft. The bed in the loft is terribly uncomfortable. It needs replacing. We would probably not stay in this condo again unless these concerns were addressed. Part of what makes a vacation good is the ability to get sufficient rest. With the multitude of rentals in this area, I would inquire to see if updates had been made before reserving this space.

Great family vacation!

Was perfect for the kids and Grandkids. The porch was better than expected (especially that view!). The pictures are actually outdated, as the patio furniture has been vastly updated. My only complaint is the pole to the umbrella is broken and unstable, and would not hold up the umbrella. Nothing major though, we very much enjoyed the views, and dining out there. The condo is well stocked with plenty of room for the family. This is our second time staying at Commodore's Retreat, it's always an awesome experience. I love the daily beach chair and umbrella set up, the fact that it isn't overly crowded, easy access to shops, restaurants, and most importantly, Publix. Commodore's Retreat is our new go-to, cozy place to stay. Don't fret about there only being one parking spot if you're going with a group. The overflow parking is literally right behind the building. For some reason we thought we would have to walk for miles or something. It's right there behind the building, with steps. In fact, the Commodore's retreat parking lot is a little small, the overflow parking lot is more convenient for trucks and SUV's. Look no further, and book your stay here!

The unit was clean and well stocked. It did need to updating though.

Our unit was very clean when we got there and the view was just amazing! Plenty of patio furniture and my kids loved the upstairs bonus room with 2 bunk sets. The unit could use some updating though. The master bath could use a new toilet seat (it doesn’t fit the toilet), the old bedding comforters need to be replaced, and a good paint job. But it is all minor things and it is all made up for with that view and eastern lake which is amazing for families with young kids. However our big issue was the building itself. The first day we were there the elevator was broken so I had to carry my things plus 4 kids bags to the 4th floor, not to mention groceries and all the other junk that we brought. The rental company was wonderful though and helped to get that fixed quickly. However it should be noted that the elevator is expired on its certificate so not sure if that poses a danger or not. It expired on 8-1-17. We witnessed 2 people also stuck inside the elevator for a while as well until it started working again. The pool itself was clean but the area around the pool was just gross. A few chairs were thrown around but they were rotted. The tables there were all beat up and covered in rust. This is just such a prime location it’s a shame that the HOA on this property doesn’t keep it up and seems to be letting the building fall apart. There is some serious work that needs to be done on the exterior of this property (even the balconies and railings seemed a little not sturdy) Overall the unit itself was dated but it met our needs. Our rental company was great to work with, but the HOA and exterior part of the building needs a big overhaul for safety and comfort of future families coming to visit.
