Animaux acceptés, Acorn Cottage. Notre chalet est notre maison - vous vous sentirez aussi chez vous!

Ceci est un chalet de deux chambres sur fond de sable clair et cristallin, tous les sports Paradise Lake. Deux chambres séparées et un futon pourront accueillir six confortablement. Il y a une marina locale et un magasin d'appâts sur le lac pour tous vos besoins de navigation de plaisance et de pêche. Si vous le souhaitez, vous pouvez apporter votre propre bateau et le lancer dans la rue à la rampe DNR et vous garer juste devant le chalet à votre quai privé. La pêche est excellente toute l'année. Nous avons également un ponton de 27 pieds disponible à la location (à la semaine) à notre chalet.

Notre chalet est situé au centre de la pointe du gant. À cinq minutes de Mackinaw City et de Mackinaw Island Ferries, des musées, du fort historique Michilmacinac, des phares et de Mill Creek. Juste au-dessus du pont Mackinaw vous amènera aux chutes Taquaneman, rochers représentés, Sault Ste. Marie et les écluses de Sault. Les casinos sont à Petoskey, ou à St. Ignace, juste au-dessus du pont Mackinaw.

Actually was perfect for a couple with dogs. Nice place to walk the dogs. Two bedrooms on the lake. Not far away from the city life nice places to eat around there.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and the pontoon boat provided us with so much fun and beautiful sunsets. Having a washer and dryer is also a huge bonus. We would love to come back.

Lovely little relaxing cottage with a beautiful lake view. We enjoyed our stay very much. Its a quiet little area towards the end of the summer and close to points of interest like the Dark Park and Mackinaw City. Perfect for a quiet get away. I saw a review about an issue with neighbors over dogs barking. We had our pup with us and had no issues with the neighbors at all. We would definitely stay at Acorn cottage again.

This pet friendly cottage has a very inviting and homey feel as soon as you walk in the door.If the weather is cooperating I recommend renting the pontoon boat that is available.

Perfect spot to extend a vacation

We booked the Acorn last minute to extend our vacation after a week with the full family. The charm and warmth of the cottage was instantly decompressing. It was the perfect place to relax and take excursions in the area with our son and dog. Hoping to stay longer in the future!

The host was responsive upon the arrival and within hours after that. The furniture was not very comfortable and the bedrooms were small and didn’t have a closet or place for clothes. The view of the lake was beautiful and we enjoyed looking out over the lake. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

The "Acorn Cottage" named itself when we were looking it over to buy it 2 decades ago. We looked under the mattress in one of the bedrooms and discovered ten neat little rows of "stashed" acorns. We opened the dresser drawer, and there were more acorns. We checked the attic space, and there were more acorns. Everywhere we looked . . . more acorns! The local chipmunks had quite the feast stored for the winter. You'll see a few of those acorns in an air-tight jar on the fireplace mantel. Now, the chipmunks still store their acorns, but outside the cottage, not inside!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Our cottage is in the little town of Carp Lake, MI. We have enjoyed vacationing in this area for 30 years. We find the peaceful and tranquil area of Mackinaw very rejuvinating.
This beautiful woodland area offers great natural peace. We found Acorn Cottage as we were looking for a retirement home in Northern Michigan. The entire "Tip of the Mitt" area is rich in history with so much to do. Go for a peaceful walk, ride bikes along the quiet roadways and trails, enjoy both sunrises and sunsets from the back porch and 2 decks, or dip your toes into the shallow, soft sandy lakeshore around the dock.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Acorn Cottage is surrounded by quiet, natural beauty. You can listen to the unique sound of the loons on the lake. A pair of bald eagles make their home in the nature preserve nearby. In the evening, sit on the dock and watch the sunset. Take a boat ride on the pontoon. The fishing is great on the lake, for pike, bass, and perch. If you want to go hiking, Wilderness State Park is just a few miles away.
There are plenty of hiking trails to walk or drive along the road and see the woodland and lakeshore beauty. The sand dunes are also just a few miles away. Go to dinner at Audie's in Mackinaw City or Legg's Inn in Cross Village, and on your way enjoy the sand dunes and beach shoreline of the Straits of Mackinac. You can walk for miles on open beach along the Straits of Mackinac. If it's shopping you enjoy, go to Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island and spend the day (or more). There is plenty to do around our cottage. So go relax, and enjoy.
