Spend Your Best Family Vacation by the Lake This Summer at our Cozy Cottage.

The Hygge Hideaway will become your family’s favorite vacation destination in Northern Michigan! The Hygge lifestyle is all about getting away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about and we know our cottage will be all of this and more for your family! Located on beautiful Paradise Lake, the 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage features comfortable and clean linens, a fully stocked kitchen, high speed Internet, and much more. Enjoy a day of jumping off the dock or renting a boat from the nearby Chubbs Marina. In the evenings, cook dinner on the grill and enjoy s'mores around the fire pit. Walk down to Harbor Lights Grill to enjoy breakfast or ice cream from their emporium. Enjoy dinner, drinks and pool at Clyde’s Bar which is a short walk down the street. The Carp Lake General Store is also a short walk away should you need any forgotten items.

If you are planning a day on famous Mackinac Island, the cottage is only 6 miles from Mackinaw City and the ferry boats. Enjoy the fireworks in Mackinaw City every Saturday evening throughout the summer. Additionally, head south for the day with a quick 30 minute drive to the busy towns of Petoskey and Harbor Springs. There you will finds loads of restaurants, shops, farmers markets and festivals throughout the summer season.

If you will be visiting us during the winter season, the cottage is just across from the snowmobile trail. Parking space is available to leave a trailer at the cottage and head for the trails. No need to find a place to park! If skiing is your preference, the cottage is 27 minutes from the slopes of Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. Finish the evening by our cozy fireplace. Perfect during the Fall and Winter season.

Great place to stay! So clean, cute, and comfy. We loved the firepit outside and the fireplace inside. The view of the lake was beautiful, and it was only a few minutes from Mackinaw City. We would definitely stay there again!

Diana's place on the lake was perfect for our ladies get away! We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing sunrise/sunsets on the lake, the cozy fireplace and living space on a rainy day. The house was very clean; thebeds were comfortable and the house was well stocked and well furnished. One of the best rentals I've stayed in. I look forward to coming back again!

Very clean and well maintained property . The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen has basic cooking supplies and newer appliances. Plenty of storage space in the kitchen and plenty of cleaning supplies. All in all an excellent cabin

Worry-free vacation

We didn’t have to worry about a single thing.Even when we accidentally locked ourselves out (our fault), the owner came to our rescue.Beds were comfortable, entire place was clean, view was perfect.

Family vacay

The location was perfect! Only minutes away to the ferry to Mackinac Island. The house was on the lake and very beautiful. We had plenty of room to hang out and play some games as a family. The house was clean and comfortable. It was just right for our time there. The local restaurant was very good, too!

Cozy, Fun and Kid Approved!

We truly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was the perfect size for our group, and the kids absolutely loved spending time at the lake. We appreciated being within walking distance to a great restaurant and just a short drive to Mackinac and other attractions. The board games and cards were a fun touch for our evenings together. It was also so nice to have basic amenities provided—and the extra snacks were a thoughtful bonus. Highly recommend!

Diana is very easy to work with. The cottage has a nice homie feel. And the lake is just gorgeous. Watched my adult kids fish. Nice little play yard for grand child. Close to mackinaw without the hassle. Party store. Restaurant. And a bar close by all within walking distance. Can't wait to stay again next year. We stayed here on our family vacation to the UP! It was beautiful and perfect for us! The hosts were so helpful with all the questions that we had and the place was in perfect condition! It was the perfect distance from everything and had restaurants/bar/icecream/marina all within walking distance!

Cozy, thoughtful details, VIEW, convenient location

My mom and I came up from southeastern Michigan to explore up north and the UP. Very savvy and thoughtful details throughout the cabin. Even in winter, the view of the lake is spectacular. It was so easy to explore and we loved coming back to relax every evening. We can’t wait to come again.

Cute cottage, very clean it had everything we needed. We rented Kayaks from the store a few doors down. It was a short ride into macinaw City, very convenient if you want to visit the Island.

Labor Day Getaway

We had a wonderful time! The property was clean, well taken care of and honestly an amazing layout! The property is about a 1 minute drive away from a nice restaurant and across the way is a well stocked grocery/party store. Also, only ten minutes away from down town mackinaw. Which is perfect to stay out of town but close enough to make a late night ice cream run!

Perfect Getaway

We loved our stay here! The furniture and beds were very comfortable. There are plenty of pillows for the beds. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The view outside the windows was beautiful. It was so relaxing to come back after sightseeing and sink into the couches or sit in the chairs outside and listen to the water.2 of the bedrooms are big enough for a pack n play if you are bringing them. The front room has shades that block out most of the morning sun for someone sleeping there. We would definitely be looking at getting this place again for our next visit.

Cozy comfy cottage on Clean lake

We loved our stay! This cottage reminded us of going up north when we were kids! Has everything you need to be comfortable. The lake is really calm and clean. The house was very clean and the communication was stellar! In this crazy world where everyone wants more and more, this home has just enough to be welcoming, comfortable and cozy. We really also loved the restaurant down the street! Excellent! The bonus is the proximity of Mackinaw without the hurried lifestyle. Would highly recommend 😉

A Girls Getaway

This was the perfect place. The setting was absolutely breathtaking and couldn't get over how close it was to Mackinaw Island. It was 3 moms and 3 kids staying. Over all we loved it. There are some ideas of things that may have helped too. 1. Having a mattress protector on all the beds. Got littles that may have accentses. Another was the laundry sheets sent was a bit much. Again just and idea for clear and free, b/c the sent was pretty strong and and the kids had sensitive skin. That's about it.
