Very disappointed with the state in which we found the linen, bath and kitchen towels accompanied by a foul smell in the kitchen and lounge room. The linen and towels were stained, as were the chairs in the kitchen and the table mat. We found a thick layer of dust and dead bugs in the windowsills. The host wasn't even considerate enough to remove the rotten apricots left on the table outside. We had to find another accomodation and let the host know about the issues we found, and only recieved a response two days later, after we complained to Stayz and asked for a refund. A week later, we're still trying to contact someone but no answer. Would not recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at this holiday house. It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with plenty of space for us and our dog. It was great to find a place that genuinely welcomed pets without compromising on comfort. Everything we needed was provided, and we’d happily stay again.

Well appointed and comfortable, in a great location. Loved the view from the front and enjoyed the back deck. It was very easy to get everywhere from American River we would stay again.We’d suggest investing in some bird repelling spikes for the outside areas to prevent them pooing all over the nice furniture.Would also suggest providing some soap or body wash for the shower as there was absolutely nothing. Or advise people to bring their own. We managed to rehabilitate a sad bar of soap from the laundry which sufficed.

Carol’s house is in a very quiet part of Kangaroo Island, situated in peaceful American River. It was the perfect base for exploring the island. We were able to reach all areas easily from this location. The house was well equipped with everything we needed, and the back deck was a lovely spot to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing and driving

I had a great stay here during my trip. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The host was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient. Would definitely recommend!

A very nicely presented mid-size holiday home. Air con, and combustion heater (firewood supplied) in a very comfortable living area worked well. Large comfortable beds in decent sized bedrooms. Heaps of outdoor undercover deck area with dining and lounge facilities. New, well-equipped kitchen. Large, enclosed back yard was great for our dog. Overall a very nice place to stay.

A gem of a house, we loved the location and the house itself. We stayed here with our family dog across a wintery week. Well located and the rooms were homely and welcoming. We loved the backyard and outdoor setting as well as the fireplace at night. This is ideal for families and it was a very special family holiday for us. Thoroughly recommend!

Amazing location for relaxation

We absolutely loved our stay. We winky wish we had more time to enjoy such a beautiful home. The perfect place to stay with family, the kids have plenty of room to play and the entertaining areas on both sides of the home are perfect for enjoying KI with a title of freshly bought wine and local produce. Our highlight was also dinner at The Shed! Such a great community.
