Quiet location yet still very accessible to the Night Heron Park and Freshfields Village. The beach is very nice and private and just a stroll or bike ride from a very natural beach area where we saw many birds, shells and enjoyed the natural setting. Great property!

Short walk to surf

Stayed here for a fall fishing trip. Easy, short walk to the surf. House was very clean and comfortable.

Awesome week!

We had a mix of 8 people from 3 families. The property is excellent for a group with multiple privacy needs. Short walk ti the beach on a lovely boardwalk .

The house was in a great location and had what we needed for our family vacation. The house did however need some TLC! A better cleaning service and some repairs are a must! For example, the screened porch door was broken allowing bugs and elements onto the porch, all the smoke alarms were hanging from the ceiling not connected.

In regards to the smoke detectors, the town requires us to have smoke detectors in every room, and they have to be wirelessly connected to each other. Those type don't necessarily fit into existing bases at a particular property, so it only looks like they are missing. They are mounted separately from pre-existing detector bases. This is a requirement for any property to be approved for rental on Kiawah. We apologize for any confusion, but rest assured they were there and functioning for your safety. We have passed your comments to our housekeeping partners regarding cleanliness for future renters.

Beautiful spot overlooking the dunes

This Duneside Villa is located in a quiet part of Kiawah on a beautiful stretch of beach. The unit is well maintained, equipped with most essentials, spacious, and clean. There are lots of stairs from the parking lot to the front door and two more flights of stairs inside the unit. We would love to come back for another visit!

1108 Duneside

House was nicely furnished and decorated. Had great views of beach from upper decks. Neighborhood and location were excellent and relatively quiet although there were several units on either side of us undergoing renovations during our stay so there were several maintenance vehicles and some construction noise which was an annoyance.

The owner needs to get new queen mattresses. They are worn out. It will be a must for us to here rent in the future. I would be glad to direct this to the owner.

Enjoyed our stay

This is a very nice villa in a great location. Great ocean and beach views from porches. Short walk to beach. The beach is not crowded in this area, which is great! There were a few easily correctable issues that prevented me from giving it a 5 Star, but I would stay here again.

Great location and management support

The property and location are great for a quiet seafront vacation. We had a problem with a missing coffee carafe and with the first floor thermostat no working. Bot items were rapidly fixed by the Akers Ellis staff.

Beautiful beachside condo

We highly recommend this property. The condo was clean, spacious, well equipped, and had beautiful views of the ocean. The property management company was awesome to work with before and during our stay- great communication and very simple and easy checkin and checkout process. It was our first team on Kiawah, and we fell in love with the island. Quiet but plenty of food and shopping choices. Beautiful golf courses and country club/restaurants and bars. Loved it all!

Wonderful

Really a wonderful wonderful place to stay. I'd never been on the island and did not know the extent of the trails and things to do. Don't miss the farmers markets just on the mainland where you can find produce and seafood fresh everyday.

Rather worn Den furniture offered seating for 5 adults comfortably(sectional in pictures was very small - apartment sized in reality seating only 3 adults, kitchen not well stocked if planning to cook many meals, and Twin beds in second floor bedroom suitable for children - not adults. Location and view of ocean was wonderful.
