Host was attentive. House needed maintenance. Carpet was very, very dirty. Master bath curtain rod needed reset.The water pressure in the Master bath shower was minimal. Towels were very gray and looked dirty. They were also very hard.

The place was really nice and inviting, and we felt right at home during our stay. The only hiccup was that the oven and microwave weren’t working because of a possible blown fuses, so we couldn’t use them. Other than that, everything else was great and we truly enjoyed our time there!

We loved the house. It was perfect for our family with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Clean, comfortable and well stocked. Would definitely recommend this home and hope to come back in the future.

Stayed here for a week (July 11-17th) and we had an awesome time! The host is very responsive and easy to communicate with. There were only 6 of us and we had plenty of room. With 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths everyone had their personal space. We didn’t have any problems during our stay. The house is stocked very well with just about anything you need to have a great vacation. Plenty of house towels and beach towels. The kitchen has plenty of plates, cups, bowls, utensils etc. There are games and books for family fun. We enjoyed a few games of pool in the downstairs great room. It’s only about a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet, we did chat with a few locals on our walks and everyone was really nice. We did love being able to open the large doors on the first and second floor and let that cool ocean breeze in! The beds are pretty firm but so are most hotel beds so not a big deal. We had a great time and would definitely love to stay here again!

June Family vacation.

A great vacation Oxnard beach rental for 6 nights for our family of 10. Clean, comfortable, & well stocked. Includes laundry, pool table, & beach equipment. Beach a short walk and very few people. Our group had a great time, and would love to return.

Could have been better

Not thoroughly cleaned. Carpet in the dining room had pet stains and smelled. The outside sitting areas had not been swept or cleaned. The exterior glass had not been cleaned in quite some time.Maintenance appeared to have been deferred. The ice maker never worked. The internet provider called and said the service would be terminated due to lack of payment. The master bath tub had a sign warning of leaks. The internal workings of one of the toilets broke. The bathroom curtain was held up with safety pins.There were two garages. We were told we could use the empty one, but we were given the garage door opener for the one we couldn't use.

The property is beautiful and the location in nice. But the kitchen was dirty, there was food in the utensil trays, and there were ants on the counter. Reaching out to the owner regarding these issues was met with rudeness. I recommend you keep looking.

Very Nice Property - Modern and Clean

Ratings:Building and Cleanliness: 10Furniture: 10Beds: 8 - Mattresses seemed harder than expected.Host: 7The property is in a nice location. It is modern, clean, and neat. The furniture and kitchen were excellent, except the mattresses are more firm than we would have liked.We have stayed in many short term rentals, but this was the first time with a pet. The listing had several references to small dogs being welcome, and one of our family brought a small dog. The host has outside cameras, and we got a message asking if we had brought a pet. I replied that we had brought a pet. The host said there was a 250 pet fee for our three day stay. I countered that his list of fees on VRBO did not include a pet fee. He responded that it was in the listing.I asked him to show me where in the listing the fee was mentioned. He responded that all rentals have a pet fee and I should have known that. Also, he said it is only common courtesy to notify the host in advance that the guest is bringing a pet. He proposed a compromise pet fee and I paid it.So I learned about bringing pets to a rental from this host. He has changed his listing now requiring notification of pets and that a fee is required. So future guests with pets should not encounter this misunderstanding.I learned that a guest should inquire about pet fees in advance even if they are not disclosed in the property listing on VRBO.I would recommend this property to other guests.

Glamorous Getaway

The home is gorgeous, spotless, spacious and located close to the beach. There are books, puzzles & games galore. The devil is in the details: know that 2 of the 3 fireplaces are wood-burning, and the stunning fireplace in the primary suite is non-operative. There are two washer/dryer sets; both dryers were full, which is where I located the only washcloth I could find. The four bathrooms had a single hand towel only; I had to distribute towels to my friends from the supply in the master closet. We ran out of TP; the info stated there was more in the storage by the laundry, but it was locked. We could not operate the whole house sound system; Robert tried to instruct me via text, but no luck. The bathroom fan was out. When a smoke detector needed to be deactivated, he had us carry a tall ladder from the garage to the bedroom to fix it ourselves. For the rates, he should have someone to assist and prepare the bathrooms. The last day, we lost hot water throughout the house, and several outlets malfunctioned.

Great location and large home!

The home is very large and in a great location. Can walk to the beach! Large kitchen with everything you should need. Pool table and game room downstairs. Plenty of seating in the open areas. Comfy couches. -the house could’ve been cleaner. Dirty carpet from spills, some dust and even a dead bug. The house really sleeps 9 adults I think. We ran out of dish soap right away and had to buy some and paper towels. We had an issue with the smoke alarm but it was resolved with the owner. Upstairs beds (not master) need to be replaced. Uncomfortable and cheap. Overall a very good stay!

.hmmm. The space was great for our entire family to stay, but it was needing some help. Light bulbs burned out Blinds missing in the bedroom Kitchen and pantry, a hodgepodge Mismatched bedding Moldy furniture on the patio Not my idea of Luxury. Would not recommend staying here especially at the price Garage remote

Vacay

We do an annual family beach trip, to celebrate my husband's birthday. This house is a gem. It accommodates our family with the 4 bedrooms and baths plus allows my son to bring his two small puppies. Its a short walk to the beach. Stores are close by if you need anything. This is our second time here and we will continue to come as long as its available.

Great house close to beach

We had a great stay here, house has plenty of room, great parking, washer and dryer. If you love reading they have plenty of book options and some fun family games to play. There are bikes, a wagon and boogie boards. Plenty of linens, so no need to pack beach towels. There are camping chairs which was also very nice to bring to the beach.

Beach Life

Great location. Every year we do a family beach vacation, this home was large enough for the 11 of us plus allowed us to bring our 2 small dogs. Each family had there own bedroom and bathroom. Perfect for us.

Great getaway!

Myself and 9 family members stayed here to celebrate my parents 45th wedding anniversary and 70th birthdays! Home is beautiful and had everything my family needed to have a good time! The outdoor space was amazing and the extra large dining table was perfect for playing games! Bedrooms were sufficient and had plenty of blankets however, I would recommend bringing own pillows and maybe even a mattress pad as beds are very hard. 3.5 bathrooms and all had plenty of towels and extra bath accessories which was nice. Kitchen was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need. Would plan on taking extra paper products such as paper towels and toilet paper as what was supplied ran out after a day. We were looking forward to riding the bicycles that were advertised but both had flat tires. Instead we used the boogy boards and beach chairs provided and had such a fun beach day! There was a leak in the garage that poured water everytime upstairs bath was used that was concerning but the property manager was easily reached and responded quickly. Definitely a great beach house for the price and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great location

The location of the house is great. Close to stores, restaurants and walking distance to beach. I have stayed in a few beach locations in Ventura and enjoy visiting Ventura and surrounding areas. As for staying at this site, it needs lots of TLC!

Loved Oxnard Shores from the first trip here. Huge beach, no crowds, lots to do around here. Boat trips to Islands, whale watching, jet ski rentals, two main harbors minutes away, golf, wine tasting, many restaurants with entertainment, kids friendly environment, bicycle rental nearby.
