Very clean place. Nice heated pool. One thing that would have been nice if the pool area would’ve had lounge chairs to lay down by the pool. Otherwise, everything else was really nice.

Pine Island

Very nice home in a fine neighborhood. Pool and hot tub were great. We also enjoyed using bikes and kayaks. Manatees and dolphins right in front of the dock! Pine island has a cool old Florida feel. Home needed a few small fixes, but nothing ruined our stay.

Manatee Bay Home

This is a very comfortable property. The description of home and amenities is accurate.Our only difficulty was that the new pool heating system did not work on arrival. Both owner and property management firm attempted to rectify this as soon as possible.Pine Island is a fun place to visit!

Perfect

This house was amazing. The kayaks were a lot of fun as well. We spent most of the time in the pool and hot tub. The only thing we wished that it was closer to a beach that you could actually visit. Since it was a farther drive, we really didn't do that much. But I think we had a much better time this way. Thank you.

Amazing Peaceful place

Absolutely perfect! My family had stayed in multiple homes on pine island and this one was by far our favorite . The pool and hot tub were great. The master bed was comfy which never happens. It was clean , the decor was beautiful . We live bed every minute of this stay.

Loved this house!

Rum and Reel house was so enjoyable! The pool and hot felt fabulous! We spent a lot of time right there! The kayaks were used every day
 the bikes great for short rides ! The best was seeing 3 or 4 manatees in the canal! Swam along side our kayaks
tail fins .. noses and bubbles around us! We also recommend Emmy Girl Charters
did a wildlife outing with Emily
.saw lots of dolphins and manatees.,..she was a wonderful Captain and guide! The house is so well supplied 
just bring your swim suit!

Great place overall

Nice house. Everything was very clean and well kept. TV with PS4 was nice. Pool and spa were great, spa gets hot but it takes a bit. The house is a 30 minute drive to Cape Coral/45 min to Fort Myers so that is both good and bad. If you want a nice quiet spot to yourself, this is it.

Nice quiet getaway

We had an amazing stay at this property. The neighborhood was really quiet and safe. The house was clean and exactly as the pictures indicate. I wish the boat lift would have worked out for our boat (24 foot with T top) but we just tied up to the dock instead. The lift might be able to accommodate a 18 foot boat but not much bigger. The boat launch in the neighbor hood was nice and easy to launch from. The rental company was easy to work with and quick to respond on a couple minor issues after our arrival even on the weekend. Hopefully we will be back soon!

It was great!! Plenty of towels and extra sheets. It was very clean. There’s a washer and dryer to use. The bikes were great! Next time we need to get the kayaks on the water. We will be back. We have friends in the area that we like to visit.

Overall Great, just a couple of blemishes

Pros: Quiet neighborhood, gorgeous pool and canal area, ease of access to the water and great food in Malatcha. Spacious house, nice amenities, and very well kept. Great communication from management. Cons: Maintenance issues. The living room TV cable box/remote was nonfunctional, requiring a replacement before being able to use it. The coffeemaker was broken. And on the 4th day of 7, we discovered the dryer didn't work. We were likely just unlucky that these all happened on one visit, and the staff did a great job replacing the cable box and coffeemaker quickly. The dryer required a specialist that wasn't available before our departure. Overall, highly recommend, especially for families with older children.

Home was immaculate. The pool was the best ever. Very clean inside and out. Had games to play, kayaks to use. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Great place to have pool and hot tub day/ night

Very nice place! If I had to find something negative it would be that the kayak has a leak and fills with water and a couple of the beds could use mattress upgrades. All that said it is a wonderful place.

Pine Island Getaway

We had an amazing time at a phenomenal property! We have been to St James City on Pine Island several times and this house was everything we could have asked for. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we could have needed! There were bikes, kayaks, and a lovely pool and spa. We were able to rent a boat for the week and use the property boat lift. Nice quiet neighborhood with friendly people. We can’t wait to come back!

Don't rent this if you expect to use Pool and Hot Tub or don't want to deal with maintenance people!

Had to drive an hour out of my way to get keys to start with and they wanted me to drive them back after leaving, I refused.... Was there for 7 days, could only use the pool ONCE after maintenance came, etc.. could only use the spa twice after maintenance came yet again. they could not get the hot tub or the pool to warm up enough to use.. TV in master didn't work, had to have separate maintenance man come for that.. Basically spent my whole vacation week dealing with maintenance men!!! RIDICULOUS

Amenities and Privacy

Thankful for a quiet getaway amidst of the chaos of 2020. This private home was well stocked, providing extra towels, filler kitchen supplies, and soaps. We were thrilled to see the manatees in the channel on our first morning, and enjoyed the hot tub each evening. Although there weren’t clear directions provided for the pool remote, if you stop button mashing it will take care of itself.
