Sunset Captiva 53 is a charming tropical island home with two bedrooms upstairs, an alcove with bunk beds, two full bathrooms, and a half bath. This unit comfortably sleeps 6. It features an open layout with a spacious, fully equipped kitchen. The main floor has a screened, furnished lanai for relaxing in the shade. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king-size bed, en suite bath, and a private sun/moon deck for lounging. It is ideal for enjoying the clear, starry skies at night, or you might be lucky enough to see ospreys nesting in the tall trees nearby.

As part of Sunset Captiva, a quiet 59-home community in the heart of Captiva Village, this Captiva Island vacation rental is in a fantastic location — just a short walk to the historical Captiva district where you will find restaurants rich with island charm and fare, boutiques, galleries, and a small but well-provisioned grocery store. A private boardwalk from the pool leads you past the Captiva Library and the Chapel-By-The-Sea to the expansive beach, where world-famous shelling can be found. Surf fishing is popular, and the slope of the beach allows safe and easy swimming in the blue waters of the Gulf. Take a moment to observe the dolphins as they surface close to shore. Sunset Captiva offers guests great amenities like a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, and a private boardwalk leading to the Gulf.

Great location for family

Celebrated 50th wedding anniversary. Everyone stayed within the community. Was easy to gather for fun times together. From the beach, pool, restaurants and sightseeing. Will definitely be back,

Beach Bungalow with All Necessities

This property had everything needed for a relaxing beach getaway- from kitchen essentials to an array of beach items- you’re sure to enjoy your stay! Within walking distance to all that Captiva has to offer. Highly recommend!! We will be back :)

A Little piece of Heaven!

Everything was so convenient and great place for kids! The house was so private and the picture doesn’t do justice. We saw manatees and dolphins while swimming in the ocean. The beach was amazing and the water was crystal clear.

Do not rent

We have visited Captiva for over 15 years. We love Sunset Captiva. However, this house needs lots of TLC. The grout is coming off the floor, the screened in porch leaks and the overall condition of the home is far superior to others in the community. Very outdated, strange layout and bugs were all over the place. Royal Shell was extremely hard to work with , would not return calls and we will never rent from them again. Thank goodness Captiva is so beautiful, and we spent our time on the beach and not in this drab house.

Favorite vacation

We had the best time in Captiva and the property was great. Easy to access everything and never had to drive. The house had a few issues that were resolved quickly. Comfortable beds, sheets, quilts, etc. Nicely furnished with top quality accessories. Ie: tvs, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, newer, clean appliances. Really enjoyed having a beach cart, umbrellas, chairs, etc. Overall a very happy experience. Thank you. We’ll be back!
