Beautiful big house, 5 minute walk from beach, ice cream shop, Mexican restaurant. A few more minutes walk and you are at other restaurants, the marina and manatees. Great location if you don’t really want to go anywhere else. Beds were comfortable, nice linens and towels. Great swimming pool and jacuzzi. Nice washer and dryer; so convenient! Kitchen was a bit disorganized but just fine. Eight family members fit easily into this comfortable and airy house!!! We really enjoyed it!

The house is beautiful and location was great! House is big with plenty of places to sleep. Ping Pong table was a hit. Pool was great for late afternoons. Internet was very slow. I switched to cellular by the end of the week. Would have been nice if they had any pool "toys" and things for the beach like beach chairs. Otherwise we had a great time and would do it again!

Thank you so much for the 4-star review! We are thrilled to hear that you found the house beautiful and that the layout and pool were such a hit for your group. It sounds like the ping pong table provided some great entertainment during your stay as well. At Dream Vacation Rentals, we strive for a "no-surprises" experience, and we appreciate you bringing these specific items to our attention: Internet Speed: We understand how important a reliable connection is. We will have our service provider come out to test the lines and ensure we are getting the best possible speeds for the area. Beach & Pool Gear: While we generally encourage guests to bring their personal favorites, we hear you on the convenience of having chairs and toys ready to go. We are currently reviewing our inventory to see how we can better equip the home with these essentials for future visits. It was a total pleasure hosting you, and we are so glad you’d choose to stay with us again. We look forward to welcoming you back to the island soon!

This is a gorgeous and very comfortable home for a vacation in Captiva. It has all the amenities you could possibly want inside the home from wi-fi, televisions, a game room, beautiful kitchen and a large porch. The pool and hot tub are perfect for children. The beach is an easy walk down the street and we spent every morning there swimming and collecting shells. It was an easy walk to many wonderful restaurants. All in all, a fabulous vacation home!!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sincerely sorry your stay fell short of expectations due to so many issues. We appreciate your positive comments about the location (beach, restaurants, groceries) and amenities like the outdoor shower. Addressing Maintenance & Repairs We apologize for the numerous maintenance frustrations: • Bunk Bed Ladder: We did send a technician on Sunday to repair the ladder. • Front Door Lock: We are sorry for the trouble with the lock. We recognize this as a serious issue and have since replaced the entire locking mechanism. • Other Repairs: The main floor bed has been secured, TV access fixed, all non-working lights replaced, and the lower-level HVAC has been inspected and serviced for proper function. Addressing Cleanliness & Trash Your concerns about cleanliness are taken very seriously, and we apologize this impacted your stay. • Cleanliness: We are very sorry for the condition of the chair cushions, coffee pots, pool area, and dishwasher. Had we been notified during your stay, we would have immediately sent our cleaners back. Excellent Vacation!

My family of 8 really enjoyed our stay in Captiva. Even with the impact of the hurricane still evident, we found enough places open and enough things to do. The property is very clean, and the location is excellent, even closer to the beach than it seems. The amenities (kitchen items, towels, etc) of the house were as described and there was plenty of everything. There was an issue with a screen door and the hot tub, but both were corrected promptly. My only complaint is that the lower level was described as having a full living space with couches, chairs, refrigerator, tables, etc. This is one main reason we booked this property as we have teenagers and wanted to make sure they had a place to hangout. Unfortunately, with the hurricane, the lower level had to be remodeled and the furniture was not replaced at the time of our visit. This wasn’t communicated and we didn’t know until we got there. I wish we would have been told in enough time to book a property that better suited our family or would have been offered a small refund since we did not feel we were given the same amount of living space we paid for. I hated to have this blemish on an otherwise excellent property. If the lower level could either be furnished as advertised or described as it now is, I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! We're thrilled to hear that your family of eight enjoyed their stay in Captiva, especially considering the lingering effects of the hurricane. It's great to know the location was convenient, the amenities were plentiful, and everything was clean as expected. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment regarding the lower level living space. You're absolutely right – the lack of furniture significantly impacted the functionality of the space, especially for a family with teenagers. We understand why this was a major factor in your decision to book with us, and we deeply regret not communicating the temporary state of the lower level beforehand. Following the hurricane, renovations on the lower level unfortunately took longer than anticipated to complete. We should have been more proactive in updating our listing and informing guests about the missing furniture. We take full responsibility for this oversight. To show our regret and rebuild your trust, we'd like to offer you a discount on your next stay with us. We'd be honored to welcome you back now that the lower level is fully furnished and ready to accommodate your entire family comfortably. In the meantime, we'll be sure to meticulously update our listing description to accurately reflect the current state of the lower level. This will prevent similar misunderstandings for future guests. Thank you for your feedback and understanding. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance to provide the exceptional experience you deserve.
