So glad we stayed here!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So glad we stayed here for our vacation - the condo was stocked with all of the essentials we could have ever needed. Beach towels, bug spray, laundry pods, umbrellas, a stocked kitchen. The location was great and we could walk to the beach. It was also great to be very central to all of the other attractions we went to in Maui. It made it easy to relax knowing everything we needed is at the condo. I would stay here again and have already recommended it to a friend!

A wonderful Aloha Team for a very overpriced & worn out room.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Please know your staff is maka'i loa with tons of mana. Thank goodness though I was able find an amazing upgrade in Lahaina, for my last 7 days, for less than half the price, at Hanua Kai. A resort yes, but 3 times the amenities on the beach at $199 a night. Your 4211 shower pressure is in serious need of throttling down via a whole rework of the bathroom. I had spiders, cats on the balcony, it was just all the little things for being so over priced. As a passed guest it was OK for 200 a night per condo I rented, yet those rooms still needed upgrading as well, yet they were better.The trim paint in this one is way overdue to be painted. The furniture was worn out when it was purchased and isn't inviting to sit or lounge on or sleep on. The toilets need to be replaced with at least 17 inch tall self closin lids. The bedding linen and bathroom towels need replacing. Thank goodness I had my own towels and wash cloths. I do know this a very full season over all but as a traveler even though especially on these sacred islands, I want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Hopefully you interpret this requested review as such. Again your entire staff and the property front desk and the cleaning staff are the best.Me ke Aloha nui a hui hou😁🤙

Great location, room met needs

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is nothing luxurious about this room at all. It is made and decorated to clean up sand easily and supplies the needs for a place to launch off from and return to before/after all the day’s activities. We didn’t have time to explore the grounds, so I can’t speak of anything other than the room itself. The location was truly great for our explorations between Makena and Kihei. We did find another prior guest’s toiletry bag upon arrival that showed us the last final sweep of cleaning was not completed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo complex is in a prime location. The unit surfaces were clean. The $200 cleaning should be a deposit so as to be an incentive to keep the unit clean. The furniture and bed are very old and uncomfortable. The sofa is uncomfortable to sit on. Sleeping on the sofa bed was terribly uncomfortable. The bathrooms are very dated and the faucets leaked when turned on. The ceilings were disgustingly dirty. The unit needs a complete remodel.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was more concerns with unit 4-211 then we could accept. We have stayed at Kamaole Sands condo’s over six times in the past. Manny of the units discrepancies had been reported before are arrival, yet not corrected. Safety issues, like front screen door bent and unable to lock, the unit was not clean, room air conditioning unit filter unit light on, unit does not work well. Hall shower drain broken with screw sticking out. Advertised view of the water was not taken from this unit.

March 2020 Stay

I would say my stay at Kamaole Sands was great. The unit was very close to the beach and local shops. The unit itself was fine and had everything my girlfriend and I needed during our stay. We will most definitely stay here again.

Comfortable quiet clean condo, equipped with bare essentials only. The bed could use an upgrade.

Location location location this property is located right across Kihei 3 and walking distance to restaurants pubs grocery shopping and so much more. Grounds are magnificent the pool is fabulous gets slightly busy after 3pm. Group BBQs cleaned daily and are very high quality grills. Overall the property is awesome.

Kamaole sands resort has a great location, good amenities and friendly atmosphere for families. This particular condo is a 1-2 star condo. The room was not as clean as I would expect. I cleaned upon arrival. The blankets for the pullout were visibly dirty. The bathroom fan would not work and gained black mold daily. The condos next door were undergoing full renovation for the majority of our stay. When I called to express my concern, I was told I could either cancel( and essentially leave us stranded for 2 weeks or take as is). They did say they would try to move us if availability came up. To date, I have not heard from Maui Home and Condo. So, we stayed, cleaned and lived with construction noise. Maui Home and Condo and our travel agency were of no help. I assumed that using both would help in situations such as this. It doesn’t and I am disappointed in both. My advice, Book with owners directly.

December 2018 Stay

we found the kamole Sands amenities and resort very very nice and ideal for our 9 year old daughter and us. This is our 5th trip to Maui and found kamole Sands the best yet. This said we found our condo and bit disappointing and very tired and in need of refurbishment. But over all we had a fantastic holiday and experience.

Love it there! Employees are so nice and happy that it makes me feel good to stay there. Our Condo was very comfortable.

April 2018 Stay

Aloha So I have to be honest here. We were very very disappointed when we arrived in our unit. We found it dirty , stain on the sheets, bathroom is moldy, pull out couch is broken but I kinda figured it out. This unit is NOT equipped for a beach vacation compared to the other units in the complex. There was one pool noodle and two rusty beach chairs . The lint tray in the dryer I don’t think has ever been emptied. You could make a nice pair of warm socks out it. We had to re-wash our cloths cause they smelled moldy after using dryer. We feel that we are being penalized for using our points for this unit. According to the booking it was a 4 star. This unit is maybe a 2 star. It seems to be below the standard of the resort. The front desk said they couldn’t help us at all. We wanted to leave after the first night but they could help us they said. All furnishings need to be updated desperately . I feel terrible complaining because i know this is someone’s personal unit. Just had no one to help us. 😢
