The place was very clean and overall we enjoyed our stay. A few small improvements would make it even better. It would be helpful to have a broom available for sweeping up sand, and the beach chairs and umbrellas could use an upgrade. The kitchen also seemed a little understocked, with only enough cups and dinner plates for two people.

Thank you, Tom. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. We’re sorry the kitchen was short on dishware and that the standard broom was missing; our operations team will replace the broom and bring the dishes up to par. For future reference, please call us if anything is missing so we can replace it promptly. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the beach chairs and will share it with our team for review. We hope to host you again on a future Newport Beach visit. Kind regards, BVR

A Respite From the Beach Bustle

Steps from the beach and the main pier shops and restaurants, we used this unit as our home base for a relaxing weekend. Comfy beds, clean accommodations, love having the garage spot, and the Roku setup was nice too. A perfect location in Balboa peninsula which we hope to visit again.

Great location! Steps to the beach!Close to restaurants, bars, the pier and grocery store. Very clean. Updated house w new flooring, fixtures, cabinets, windows, decor, etc. Appreciated all the ceiling fans and additional fans in every room as it was a warm week. Unfortunately the power went out on the whole street on our last night and didn’t come back on ‘til sometime after we left in the am. While I know it was not their fault it would have been nice to have some flashlights around as it was very dark and we didn’t have much power on our phones to keep using our phone flashlights. That would be my only recommendation and probably would have never thought about it if the power wouldn’t have gone out. We had a few other requests but they were quick to meet our needs. Would definitely rent this house again.

Thank you for your comments. We’re happy you enjoyed the great location and being just steps from the beach! It’s nice to know the ceiling fans and additional fans helped keep everyone comfortable during the warm week. We’re sorry the neighborhood power outage affected your final night and understand how difficult it must have been without adequate light. We do provide flashlights upon request, and we appreciate your suggestion to have them available in the home for situations like this. We're pleased to hear our team was quick to assist with your other requests. We look forward to hosting you again on a future visit to Newport Beach. Kind regards, BVR
