Welcome to The Blue Grotto, a spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner condo located directly on the sand at the iconic Capri by the Sea in Pacific Beach. Perched on the 11th floor, this home offers breathtaking, unobstructed ocean views from every room—stretching from South Mission Beach to the La Jolla coastline!



Perfect for families or friends traveling together, this light-filled condo combines comfort, space, and a front-row seat to San Diego’s coastal lifestyle.

The open living room features floor-to-ceiling corner windows showcasing panoramic ocean views, comfortable seating, a queen sleeper sofa, smart TV with DVR, and roller blinds. Adjacent is a cozy sitting area—ideal for morning coffee while watching surfers and dolphins.

The fully equipped kitchen is designed for meals at home and entertaining, with:

• Dining table seating 6–8 (expandable with drop-in leaf)

Views and beach access were amazing. Check in communication and payment was a bit confusing as it was not through VRBO. The checkout check list seemed to be too lengthy. Pool and hot tub are not on the property it was located 1/2 a block away, but was nice and quiet. But as far as location, security, and access to the beach and restaurants it was great.

The condo unit was fantastic with beautiful views as featured in the photos. Property Management firm was very good to work…excellent communications.A couple of points to be aware of…this unit has no A/C. While this may not bother many people, since you can open the doors and windows and let the ocean breeze in, there is no way to keep the humidity down or noise out disputing the night. Street noise can be loud and constant. Also, we did not care for the pillows in the unit…to each his own, but would think a variety of pillow types would be nice.

Location and view can't be beat!

Gorgeous views of the beach, especially at sunset. Easily walkable to restaurants and bars. Beds/pillows were comfortable and plentiful! No noise from other units, only the sound of the beach and occasionally, the boardwalk below.

The condo is beautiful. It is clean, well furnished, great location, beautiful views, and stocked well with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The management responds immediately with any concerns they let you know whenever they need to come into the apartment to do repairs. The management is extremely respectful. The highlight of this condo is, without a question, the incredible view. Whether it was morning coffee or sunset, the scenery alone almost makes the stay worth it. Additionally, the location is unbeatable—we were central to everything and found it very easy to get around.The condo itself was clean and functional, but it is worth noting that the decor feels dated. While it didn't negatively impact our comfort, the interior doesn't quite match the premium feel of the view or the location.This rental is managed by a third-party agency outside of VRBO. This added an extra layer of complexity to the process, making the experience feel less smooth than a typical VRBO stay.

Best view on the beach

I chose this condo because of its location and the spectacular ceiling to floor views of the Pacific Ocean and beach that it provides - and it did not disappoint! The property is in close proximity to a boardwalk like beach path and many good restaurants and eateries. Only a 15 minute drive from downtown San Diego I would highly reccomend this property for your vacation stay.

Our family had a wonderful time. The location on the beach was great and the views from our 11 th floor window were spectacular. The condo was very clean and well stocked. Great condo, awesome location.

We enjoyed this unit so much! It was a great size for our family of 5. Good mattresses on the beds. Nice bathrooms and kitchen. We used all the beds and the sofa bed. The views are amazing. So much fun to jog or walk up and down the boardwalk. All the shops and restaurants you could ever need within walking distance, plus a pool. We would stay again!
