Fabulous Winter Getaway

Location of property is amazing with a very short walk (2 mins) walk into town. The lounge and kitchen area were amazing with everything anyone would need and the wood fire was just sensational with ample amount of wood provided by the hosts. Bedrooms were comfortable and whilst we didn't use the outdoor areas (too cold), the back deck would be great in the warmer months.Highly recommend the property to anyone.

A gem close to town

Hemley Cottage is a fabulous place to stay in a quiet and handy location. Beautiful gardens and outdoor sitting areas where you can watch the kangaroos grazing out in the back paddock. Inside it has everything you need and more. Very comfortable lounge, large TV with several streaming services, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower was a hit with a chap my height. Comfortable beds, great heating options, well appointed kitchen and an easy 5 minute walk to the town centre. Highly recommended as a great place to stay.

Bushfire

Unfortunately we only had a few pleasant hours at the Hemley cottage before the smoke blew ferociously all around us. We had a message on one person’s phone to evacuate so we zipped off to friends in Stawell . Very fortunate . We didn’t really have much information about the progress of the fire . If the one person had not got the evacuate messsage I don’t know what would have happened. However we got a very prompt refund, thank you. Maybe we’ll stay again when it’s winter time.
