Welcome to Grampians Blue, a fully eco-friendly retreat powered by 100% renewable energy via our on-site solar array and battery storage system. Inside, an expansive living area with a large picture window frames direct views of the Pinnacle. Stay comfortable year-round with our updated reverse-cycle climate control systems and the cozy warmth of a free-standing wood heater. Entertainment is easily accessible with high-speed WiFi and a 50-inch smart TV for streaming your favorite shows.

Three bright bedrooms offer versatile sleeping arrangements, including two Queen beds and a third room featuring a single bed, a set of bunks, and a fold-out bed—comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. For families traveling with little ones, a portacot is available for use (please bring your own cot linen).

The bathroom includes a large soaking bath and a separate shower, with a conveniently standalone toilet. A fully equipped kitchen awaits your culinary needs, complete with a K-fee Pod Coffee machine, microwave, electric oven, and top-quality cutlery, crockery, and cookware.

Step outside to soak in the surroundings from multiple outdoor spaces:

Elevated Front Deck: Perfect for witnessing the sunrise over the Mount William Range.

New Rear Deck: Ideal for relaxing with views of the Pinnacle and looking out over the vast bushland backyard.

Covered Side Deck: Hosts a gas BBQ with safety gates, ideal for families.

Outdoor Fire Pit Area: A favorite guest feature for cozy evenings under the stars. Please note: wood is strictly BYO, and local fire restrictions must be checked and adhered to prior to use.

For added convenience, full laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer) are available on-site. Please note that pets are not permitted at Grampians Blue. Enjoy a memorable, sustainable getaway where nature meets modern comfort in the heart of the Grampians.

Firewood and fire supplies From April to September, we provide an initial supply of firewood to get your indoor fire started. We are not always able to provide kindling, firelighters, or matches, so we recommend bringing these along if you plan on using the fire. These items can also be purchased locally at the Halls Gap service station or general store.

This is our fifth stay at Grampians Blue. We keep coming back because it is both lovely and comfortable with a wood fire and reverse cycle air conditioning and all essential facilities to do your own thing. Located right underneath the towering mountain range we have enjoyed visits from birds of all shapes and sizes and occasionally kangaroos and even deer. It is an easy walk into Halls Gap and the Brambuk Cultural Centre.

We loved the location; it was quiet, surrounded by trees, and home to wildlife. The shops are close enough for a longer walk or a short bike ride. You really feel you are on a holiday when you are there. The place is really well laid out, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook for the family. The bedrooms and storage areas are super spacious, and the outdoor areas are plenty. The front deck is great for a coffee, even when the weather is not so kind, and the side undercover area is great for storing bikes and other things. The backyard is also handy with an outdoor dining area and a fire pit that the kids loved. There is only one electric heater, and whilst it wasn't super cold, it kept the place nicely warm, so we didn't need to light the fire inside at all. The only negatives I can talk about are the sofas, which are not comfortable to sit on, even for a short period of time, which was hard to avoid. Also, the floor/carpets, which were not very clean; and the house, which had dust and cobwebs. It would make so much more sense to have laminate or similar flooring instead of carpets. However, the beds, kitchen, and toilet/bathroom were super clean, so it's not a deal-breaker. Overall, it's a really nice house in a great location.

Great Location

Good sized 3 bedroom house, with separate toilet to the one bathroom. Quiet area especially for school holidays. The house is showing signs of age, particularly the decking at the rear, and having no railing would be tricky for smaller children. The side deck is fully fenced and closable. Unfortunately the internet is near useless for streaming on the tv, but there is a good supply of games in the drawers. On our visit we found the dishes, glasses and hard floors not to a very high standard of cleanliness, opting to clean them ourselves before settling in or using. A mop for the floor would have helped. Good kitchen with everything needed, however there is no dishwasher and is a single basin sink. The fireplace works well and just enough wood was supplied to use it sparingly for our 3 night stay. The split system works but shows signs of not being maintained and becomes intrusively noisy if on at night. Check out time differs between the booking site and the host communications, stating 10am on the website and 11am in the information sent by the host, so good to confirm. Every place will have its negatives, but if addressed would make paying the premium rates asked more satisfying. The Grampians is a fantastic place to explore, and Grampians Blue, while being a bit out of town (approx 1.8kms) is a great location to do it from.

Thanks Jeff, we're glad you appreciated the size of the house and its quiet location, especially during the busy school holiday period. The Grampians is indeed a fantastic place to explore. Our cleaner is absolutely amazing and perhaps something was missed on this occasion so we apologize for that. We'll also take on board your comments regarding the decking and maintenance of the split system and will review these items to improve the guest experience.

Somewhat disappointing

Although it was a good place to stay, a number of issues detracted from our holiday which we had to rectify before commencing our stay. It took us about an hour to make things right. These are:i) Lack of cleanliness in a place that's professionally cleaned - the outdoor table, chairs and windowsills were very dusty, a buildup over a considerable period of time, not just in between guests. The windows also looked like they hadn't been cleaned for some time. There were food scraps and dirt/dust under the cushions of the lounge, it looked obvious that the professional cleaners hadn't looked under the cushions for a while.ii) Lack of any pantry space for 7 people. There was no pantry space to speak of. We used the boxes we transported the food in, making it a bit inconvenient.iii) Lack of wardrobe space because of a baby highchair, baby gate, portable cot, blankets, pillows and fans in the wardrobes.iv) Unsafe back decking. There were some nails exposed, and some wooden decking panels were brittle and could potentially break under our body weight causing injuryv) Some flyscreens on the windows were damaged allowing bugs to get in. Other maintenance issues were a dent in the back bedroom wall, tears in the lounge lining, a broken chair discarded in the backyard and the front bedroom blind chain snapped with very little pressure. Also a few extra towels wouldn't have gone astray.Although this is a negative review, it could easily be fixed with a little extra effort.

Wonderful stay

My family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids aged 8, 6 and 4) stayed here for 4 nights. We absolutely loved it. The house was so cosy and comfortable. The wood fire was a must have for me and this was great. We all loved the wild life at our back door and the also the rocks and exploring the back yard. We went out for tea every night and were not disappointed. The bike path is close and the hiking, even with young kids, was fun. The whole experience was just what we needed. Thank you. We will not hesitate to return.
